today's review we are gonna take a look at the latest edition of the Kraken headset from Razer now these ones are the upgraded versions of the Kraken pro via twos and then also it's pretty much the exact same headset as the Kraken tournament Edition which I reviewed a while back except this one doesn't come with that thx a special surround sound card the attachment that you get so it's just pretty much the hates it now even though I've really taken a look at the

kraken tournament Edition I'm still gonna go over all of the details for the Kraken for the people who are looking to buy it and who's new to the headsets so let's get into that right after this looking for a logo either for your business or social media accounts but don't necessarily have the graphic design experience well a free logo design is here to help you out to create a new logo in a mere seconds simply select a template from a variety of options edit your logo until

you're completely satisfied and endow node a 200 pixel PNG logo for free or you can choose the high resolution package at only  which includes the high-res files in a PNG jpg and SVG more than 2 million logos have been down there so far so go check out free logo design and dot or exceed day to get your new logo so starting off with the pricing at first the Kraken is a retelling  the reason for that is because there's a lot of specials going on and then also there's a

price differences between the green version and the other colors and then also at the time of writing the script the tournament Edition is pretty much the exact same price all a tiny bit more than the Kraken which it's obviously a better ABAI so just go check out the prices before you actually get one now if you're familiar with the cracking range of headsets then the design is not gonna be anything and new to you really you still get the same aluminum adjustable head

a band with it's not too thick but enough mesh padding at the top and of course you get the iconic a rounded shape a racer style plastic ear cups with that omission like a pattern and the closed back design with the razer logo in the middle now it is not RGB backlit so just keep that in mind the ear cups is still able to swivel a small amount or to fit over your ears and the aluminum frame will be able to handle any reasonable amount of extension so if you do a very large it you will be able to bend it open a fair amount then for comfort you get the awesome a

large and soft gel infused your cushions with a cloth and a lever right combination that allows you to wear it for long periods at a time without any issues it is also not gonna be a problem it's currently winter here so it doesn't get too hot but even in the summer it's honestly not that big of an issue where it's around 30 degrees around here also add no issues with my ear scratching against the inside of the driver's there is no padding there but luckily the ear cushions are nice

and thick so it didn't even bother me at all then moving on to the cable you get the same a 1.3 meter nylon a braided cable with the inline controller that allows you to adjust the volume and also mute your mic at at the end you get a 90 degree TRS combo jack that will work on PC console and other mobile devices for instance like a switch you also get a 2 meter extension cable that then splits up into dual 3.5 millimeter jacks that's what sound quality the Kraken does Oliver a good audio for gaming listening to music or even just watching movies the audio

is also relatively well a balanced but I did find that the high end was a tiny bit pushed down compared to the mitts the low-end also for the low-end if you are looking for a thumping bass heavy headset this is not going to be that it is a more a balance more in neutral in the bass department you can increase it via low end with an EQ but it's still not gonna get that thumping kind of like you get with the hectic feedback on they say the eraser Nouri ultimate

over there as for audio in a game especially you are gonna get a pretty good sound quality you're again gonna get a bit more of that a low and mid-range so for instance a gunshots as high but explosions and so on it does sound really good now you guys can hear how it sounds like I'm currently recording into stream labs and it actually doesn't sound too bad when you're recording into that but I have heard from some of my friends that it doesn't sound greatest in a

games so it's gonna depend on what you use it for the Nashville noise cancellation these are cherry MX blue switches they are quite loud it's gonna depend on what you use it for it I think it's gonna do a better job with more background noise instead of noise that cerclage you especially on loud mechanical switches so then in conclusion honestly there's no real flaws or anything bad I can say about the Krakken II hate said it's a really a good at mid-range gaming

headset but being that some more in the mid-range and there's no real single feature that makes you stand out above their competitors it is a hard sell especially if you compare it to some of the others out there but if you are a fan of the brand and you do like the design of the Kraken headsets then this is definitely a good purchase to go for sound quality was good comfort is really good and then also both quality is great so that is pretty much it .

razor review video for you I'm picking up where I left off with the new peripheral Suite and today we are taking a look at the new Razer Kraken headset now for those of you that are unaware I am giving away the entire new peripheral suite and I'm hosting that on my Black Widow review video due to some issues with gleam it's going to be easier to just host it on that video and pick a winner from the comments so go over to that video after this I'll have a link

down in the description below make sure you're subscribed to this channel like that video and leave a comment to be entered to win this entire peripheral suite but first let's take a look at the updated Razer Kraken headset the Razer Kraken has seen many versions over the years from the pro v2 to the tournament Edition all of that can be a little bit confusing so it's nice to see that razor's newest version will simply be called the Kraken the updated Krakens will be

available in three colors classic green which you see here black and quartz pink the construction of the headset feels solid offering a rugged durability for the day-to-day beating that headsets seem to take the bauxite aluminum frame is strong yet lightweight and the one thing I like about the new Krakens is that the metal construction extends to the ear cups as well the last few iterations of the Krakens have done a really good job at maximizing comfort for those long marathon gaming sessions the new Krakens take it even further by increasing the

amount of padding in the headband for a more snug fit which puts less pressure on the top of your head for the first time the memory foam ear cushions have a layer of cooling gel inside of them to help reduce that nasty hot feeling you can get when wearing a headset for a long time and in my experience testing it this makes a substantial difference and lastly one of my favorite features of the cushions is the hidden glasses cutout which makes it so that your glasses frames

don't get smashed in by the padding which if you're a glasses where you're gonna know exactly what I'm talking about the cushions are also nice and deep so the tip so your ears won't touch the inside of the ear cups which can be a little uncomfortable as well all of this combined with the light weight of the headset makes for a really comfortable experience for some added value the Krakens are compatible with cross-platform use so you can use this single purchase to game

on your PC and on your console there is no RGB on this headset which for me is no problem at all because really you can't see the lights when you're wearing it so doesn't really make that much of a difference the Krakens have custom tuned 50 millimeter drivers that deliver clear powerful sound with nice booming immersive bass they're sporting an impressive frequency range of twelve to twenty eight thousand Hertz and in testing the Krakens I found that the

sound is really good for both music and for gaming now with playing games like apex legends for example it's easy to hear and pick up where enemies are coming from and the gunshots and explosions sound really full like most razer headsets they are a little bit bass heavy in the mix but I think that most people actually like that anyways so now I'm talking you guys directly through the microphone on the headset now this is a cardioid microphone and they've tuned it up a little bit to help reduce some ambient background noise to kind of increase that vocal

presence now as you guys can hear the microphone is a pretty good sounding microphone for an  gaming headset I would have liked to have seen a little bit more bass in it just to give it some more vocal presence but I think overall for the applications that it's meant for that it's more than enough now some things I do like about this microphone is that it still has the retractable design that goes up into the ear cup that we're used to seeing from Razer's headsets and I really like this because it allows you to use this as a pair of headphones so that you know nobody

wants to be out in public with a big gaming headset with like a big mic boom in front of their face but this is definitely a decent set of headphones as well if you want to just take this out and plug it into your phone and listen to music it makes it much more viable when you can hide the mic another nice thing about the boom is that because it is bendable it's able to be positioned anywhere that you want it and as you guys could see it holds its shape really well the cable on

the Krakens is nicely braided although it is a little bit short and it does have some simple inline controls you get a volume scroll wheel and a dedicated mute button which I think as far as inline controls go is more than adequate the cable ends in a single 3.5 millimeter headphone jack now you can use this with an all-in-one port or Razer does include a splitter so if you need to separate the mic and headphone jack so you can do that as well and it also works to extend

the cable which again like I said is a little bit on the short side to sum it all up the new Krakens are another step in the right direction for Razer the only negative I have with it is that the cord is a little bit short if you're not using the extender now depending on where you plug in your headset this may not be an issue for you at all other than that though it's super comfortable to wear and I think it will easily remain comfortable for many many hours of play the audio

quality is quite good in the ability to use this both on PC and console is always nice to stretch your dollar a little bit farther if you're looking for a good gaming headset for a reasonable price the new Krakens are certainly worth checking out well that's it for the video guys let me know down in the comments below what you think about the new updated Razer Krakens and while you're down there .

Razer Kraken Gaming Headset: Lightweight Aluminum Frame review

the Razer Kraken gaming headset what the heck is a difference with the 2019 Edition alright now I did not use the older Krakens I've tested the Kraken Poornima Edition I believe they were called and a lot of similarities are kind of implemented into this Kraken now but but again looking on racers websites the differences that we see in this again they tune their drivers a little bit different they say they included the gel foam ear cups right here and they added a little

bit of extra padding right on top and then improve the microphone all right so first off inside your box you're gonna get your headset right here with your 3.5 cable that's a taxi headset and then you get a splitter right down here for your PC which is pretty nice it gives it a whole lot of length if your again if you use their own PC but then this cable over here is not too long if you use it on console I kind of really like that and some headsets they put the initial 3.5 that's connected to the headset it's just massive long headset so I got my controller my lap and I got

this core tangled everywhere right so I really like how they made the cord short on the headset and then gave you the long extension with your splitter for mic and everything if you use it on a PC so let's see if these improvements for 2019 Edition really are worthwhile again if any of you have seen my review of the Kraken tournament edition I wasn't too happy with them those are that's a pretty old video I feel like I've kind of matured my headset reviews a little bit right and

I kind of look at things a little bit different in a wider rain I just my personal use kind of looked at everyone else's used so anyways let's see if these kind of complement it in the 2019 Edition are updated a bit so number one right off the bat we're gonna talk comfort right and let me tell you what same with my other Razer headset review I just wish this headset had swivel in it I mean the ear cups are gigantic the ear cups are incredibly cozy with that they got the sports

material on the outside and then the leatherette out here and then insides are really traps and that sounds really nice and they are incredibly soft I got that cooling gel foam on the outside here and let me tell you what your ears do stay very cool and again it really complements really nice to the pleather on the outside any inside and the ear cups are gigantic really really nice I love how big they are but again the one thing I wish this headset had and this goes for any headset with a lot of HyperX have sadness and I wish you add them as well but I gotta mark

this again as personal preference because you know a lot of people say they're cozy same with the HyperX and everything you know but I wish these things had some stinking swivel in them right yeah the ear cuff can go in and out right here just a little bit but there's no swivel so you kind of look at that angle with the big ear cups and how they are right there so when I put them on my head if let me see from this side I've got a scooch oh all the way up here to kind of grip

the backside of my head if I just put them on like a regular headset again I doubt you can see in the camera but it always got a big gap right back there right so all the pressure is coming right up here onto my cheek bone right here jawline whatever and it's put a lot of pressure right there and it's just not comfortable is that just my glasses no because as Preston over here not up here yeah it does make my glasses tight but again I get all that pressure there but to use them if I took them push them really far forward on my head right here it kind of takes my ear and

scoops it up inside of you know to me and it balances out that pressure right there but again I have to put that as personal preference because your head shakes probably be a lot different than mine you know if you're if yours doesn't sue back in the back of these ear cups really just kind of enclose onto your ears in your head right there wow they're gonna be incredibly cozy these ear cushions are soft I mean and they stay cool so again kind of think about your head

shape if used as a swoop behind your ears if it doesn't screw back a whole lot kind of like mine does I think you're gonna be good to go but if this loops back again you might get that pressure point right there which is what I get now as far as the headband up here they also said they improve the headband put it a little bit more cushion in there now there's not a whole bunch of cushion but there's enough there definitely is enough cuz again when you put it on your head and it's sitting up there you really don't feel a me feeling a little bit but it's nothing drastic by

any means you know you really take it away by how cozy these ear cushions are sol de los loros comfort I gotta give it aa man I don't know where to put it cuz again for me no they weren't comfortable but for someone else it could be incredibly comfortable so I got to put comfort as mm a personal preference you know kind of take those points right there and think about your head shape and hey maybe they'll be perfect for you alright so now let's go and talk about build and let me tell you what these things are built solid as you see the little bracket going up here

and then our arm going right here around the earcup and off it is all metal everything go right around here and then into that bracket as well as you see you can adjust it right here very nice firm adjustment you do have your wire hanging out over here from going around to the headband to the other ear cup so maybe just kind of watch out for that but other than that I mean these things are solid look at this you can stretch them out twist them up and I don't have

a single word with them at all and talking about that build you're just giving you a little close-up as you can see the metal it goes all the way up here again that brackets metal and then it goes all the way around the entire ear cup you don't have any sort of brackets showing or anything it's locked right into the ear cup is if you can see the bracket going right in there so whenever you take it and just set it down you're not really hitting on a bracket it's just that

frame and you got to drop them incredibly hard to compress that entire metal circle right there to make something break very very nice durable build and then also as far as build your 3.5 that's coming out of your headset right here it is braided but it's not this really heavy-duty I mean it feels quality it definitely does but it's not this real heavy-duty just heavy cable just hanging out on you you know what I mean it's almost that perfect balance it's not too thick not too thin but it feels incredibly durable and I really like again how I stayed in the beginning how

this as I'm not it up here now this is a shorter length on the headset and then if you need that extra length you do have this splitter for the PC right there for your mic and everything or just plug it in there if you just want to use it for your headset and then also on a 3.5 cable that's connected to the headset right there you have your inline audio controls I'd see you at your volume wheel and then you have your mic mute or mic active button sold at all as far as build I

got to give these things a complete win I really love the build to them again kind of going back into the comfort going back and forth me just complain in here you know gosh I wish these things had swivel in them because they would be incredibly perfect but then again if you put swiveling these guys you're gonna kind of break that line where we got that straightening metal going through there so it's kind of look at it this way like are you willing to compromise this incredibly fantastic build for that swivel me personally I would but again someone else out

there again you got that incredible durability right here so kind of look at it that way you know but again as far as durability give him a complete win you don't have to worry about these guys alright so now let's talk about sound and then we'll get into the mic test and a conclusion at all but as far as sound this is where things got a little bit weird with this headset right here again I had to scooch them up to really make them even a bearable to wear to use you know but after god I'm screwed up I started gaming and I gained nothing for quite a while and I tested on

every single device from Xbox one X PlayStation 4 Pro the PC and the Nintendo switch and then listened to music actually edited a whole video with them as well are so as far as the sound stage and the quality of sound and everything now first off this headsets use a 50 millimeter drivers and the frequency range is 12 to 28,000 so right off the bat you kind of be thinking wow that sounds pretty stinking good which it really does I really like that range because a lot of our gaming headsets we see 22 Tony right with this range it's like okay man this is gonna be pretty

nice we're going to have our lows it's in our house and everything right but again with that what I notice in a lot of gaming headsets when you get into these 54 millimeter drivers if you have that range right there it's really gonna be able to push it this headsets coming out believe I'm at 32 ohms right there so any any devices gonna be able to push it whether it be a cell phone or anything like that you know but again it just sounded a little bit distant to me I think if these would have been a smaller driver I think that range really would have been just kind of just put

out there immersive and just kind of put together a whole lot better if that makes any sense which it probably doesn't now what I'm saying here again talk about the 50 millimeter drivers in that range I'm getting a whole lot of highs with not much low-end I'd say not much yeah it's still there but what I liked a little bit more you know what I mean so again I'm getting all these highs which is great because again we think about some other razor headsets that I've reviewed or some of the ones back in the days they've always been a lot bass heavy and really muddy so

it's kind of like we took a complete u-turn and went this way so we got bass muddy over here now we got highs like come on guys let's just get it right in the middle here you know so that's what I think we're missing that's where I think if we would have went to smaller drivers we might have got right down there in the middle and just got perfect right now I'm not saying it's bad again some people may like that bass heavy muddy sound right there I love highs I prefer highs over bass but I do like some bass now for some people this might be what you're looking

for Xu saying you're playing a lot of Rainbow six I've been playing a lot of fortnight Rainbow six battlefield stuff like you do hear the footsteps in this I'm in their potent you really hear them cuz again you have those highs up there right and you really don't have this low-end overtaking those highs so kind of look at it that way like yeah you're gonna have this nice competitive edge of these and it's bringing out those sounds right there as far as footsteps and all that kind of

stuff but again I don't know me personally I'm not real competitive player I like to kind of get more immersed into my games you know kind of feel and hear everything whether it be the highest of mids and lows and all that stuff and again right here I get I feel you're getting a lot of those highs which is great for footsteps if that's what you're looking for it alright so sorry went off onto that sound stage and sound quality a little bit longer than I would have preferred right there but again I wanted to kind of share with you and let you know about it as best as I can

again with multiple different examples get tested on every different device and all that stuff so I don't know if I would say it's bad it's just different if again if you're looking for that high sound maybe that competitive edge this is gonna give it to you right there but again I hope I was up and helped you out a little bit with that soundstage I know I kind of jumbled around a little bit I still them let's move on to the mic all right sorry about that so as far as the mic right here as

you see it is retractable comes in and out right there really nice actually because it bends and it stays in whatever position you want and it's not too high up right in front of your face you can bend it right down here really nice let's go on to give this mic test alright so we are now using the mic on the razer kraken headset right here and honestly I think the mic sounds pretty good yeah it does sound a little bit hollow maybe just a pinch distant nothing horrible by any means I

honestly like the mic I feel like it's bringing out some of the the low end and the high end as well pretty nice and balanced if there's one thing I would like on it is maybe like a windscreen or a pop filter because I feel like it picks up my peas and tees a little bit but all in all I think it's a pretty solid mic alright what did you think about that mic test right there again like I stated I think it sounds pretty stinking good you know what I mean this is the best no but I think it's one of the top tier right there again maybe a windscreen or a pop filter over would probably

conclude it and make it perfect right there but I think it's pretty darn good alright slow and all my take on a Razer Kraken 2019 edition right here I like them but there's a lot of personal preference stuff as you call throughout the review as far as the comfort definit personal preference that's the one thing you really need to kind of focus on if you can get somewhere maybe try them on or something like that maybe that or or you know where you compare to if you like HyperX headsets as far as the clouds cloud 2's or alphas or anything like that then

you'll like the feel of these because again it's pretty much the exact same with no swivel right there so if you like the comfort of those you're gonna like the comfort of these so now one other thing as you can see I have this bright green kind of racer signature green right here right which I think goes fantastic with Xbox by the well with the green and all you know they definitely look cool very bright and vibrant you know but they do come in a white a pink a

black and then a black in a blue accent version as well now the green ones were only  all the others were  I'm not too sure why but again that's kind of why I went with the green ones right here you know and I honestly think at we have a pretty quality headset right here.

the Razer Kraken headset so this is the new Razer Kraken and it's basically the successor to the razer kraken pro v2 so essentially it's the pro v3 that razer have sort of simplified their naming system it comes in with the same recommended retail price as the old version so that  in pounds euros or dollars i already took a look at this headset I did do a quick unboxing and first impressions review when it was released so that shows the box contents and things and as you

can see I am taking a look at the green version and it is available in a couple of other colors as well so you can have the quartz pink edition there is also a black version this headset and there is a black and blue console version as well so when it come to setting up this headset it does come with a braided cable I found it was a good length or using on maybe like a laptop or a phone but I think if you do have a PC that sort of away from your desk the cable is quite short

however it does come with a splitter cable that does give it a little bit of extra length this headset is multi-platform compatible so it has a 3.5 millimeter jack and that will plug into pretty much any compatible device and the audio will work to use the headphones and the microphone you will have to have a combination audio jack but also if you do have a PC or a laptop that requires the separate audio and microphone inputs you there has to also come with a splitter cable as well when it comes to the aesthetics on this headset I must admit the bright green isn't

really my personal taste but Razer have done a good job to sort of match all the different materials so the plastic the metal and the faux leather is all a very matching bright green you do also have the matching bright green braided cable as well this headset also doesn't feature any RGB lighting although I don't really think that is a feature that you really miss on a headset because you don't see it anyway and I think it does make sense as it is a multi-platform headset so you haven't got a USB connector that needs to sort of power and instead the RGB lighting

has got this sort of black contrast accents I guess so it doesn't look quite nice with the bright green you've got some black on the inside the ear cups there's some black on the top of the headband and then each of the ear cups has bowed you have this black mesh on them so it does kind of have the look of an open-back headset the razer logo is found on the left and right a cup right in the middle so they're distinctive snake logo it's quite present on this headset and you do

also have the Razer name across the top of the headband as well overall I think it's a decent looking headset and despite the garish color it still manages to look quite premium and doesn't all look sort of cheap and tacky when it comes to build quality despite the look of this headset it does actually have an aluminium frame underneath all of this green paint and so is really I think the areas that matter so on the edge of the headband the extension arm and there's also a metal ring that runs around each air cup as well so I think it is probably the areas that matter

the areas you want to be strong in the areas that are more likely to get damaged even the plastic leave use does actually feel pretty solid and the headset does have a good amount of flex in the areas you would want it I do think that Razer probably has a pretty bad rap with the headsets I have heard that they are meant to break quite easily but I think this headset is pretty obvious Razer probably made some improvements in the area as overall it does feel very sturdy and

well built the PU leather that coats the top of the headband and runs around the outside of each ear cup feels lovely and soft and quite high-quality early and I think teamed up with a braided cable it does give this headset a sort of premium feel to it it does feel very well built like it won't sort of fall apart easily it also comes from the 2 year warranty as well that I think sort of helps give you peace of mind when it comes to you using this headset it's very very easy to set up

because it does only have that 3.5 millimeter jack so it's just a case of plugging into any compatible device there's no USB to worry about so there's no software to download either it is obviously quite a large headset and I must say it does look rather comical on my small head but despite its size it actually isn't too heavy it's reasonably wait and it also doesn't grip too tightly either I think if anything it probably is slightly loose as it does slide around a little bit however I

do think that is better than feeling crushed a couple of the improvements that Razer have made to this new version of the Kraken over its predecessor are designed to make it more comfortable and although I haven't actually tried out the old Kraken pro v2 and so I don't can't really compare it in general I did find this headset to be pretty comfortable a razor have apparently added some more padding to the top of the headband and to me it still doesn't actually feel that thick but it does a reasonably good job if I wore it for a really long period of

time though I did find that I started to get a bit of a pressure point at the top of my head so I found myself adjusting it because it did get a little bit painful I almost always have this problem with this particular style of headset though I don't know whether it's my head shape or something I personally find the suspension headband design more comfortable , the headband is adjustable on sort of like a rat trick system and it is very very easy to adjust and it

does stay in place really well also and for once it does actually go really quite small normally I have to use the smallest setting on a headset and sometimes it is still a little bit too big but this has that I actually put it on sort of like the two setting so you can adjust it from one all the way up to five say if you are someone that's got a smaller head it should suit and if you're someone that has got a larger head it should see e as well their ear cuts themselves don't unfortunately

rotate inwards and outwards so you can't lie the headset flat on your - you can't light flat around your neck however they do slightly tilt inwards and outwards and so I found that was pretty good it did pretty much always sit flush against my ears and it didn't pinch or anything because it was always sitting in the right place the ear cups are another improvement that Razer have made over the previous generation so this Razer Kraken is now fitted with their like cooling gel ear cups they're the same ear cups I tested out on the raisin re and to be honest I

didn't really find that they did anything for me I personally don't really get very warm ears anyway but I didn't really notice any sort of cooling effect from them if anything they did feel pretty much the same as any other headset to me they weren't particularly cooler they weren't particularly warmer however they are lovely and soft and squidgy I think you have sort of like a memory foam teamed up with the jowls so they are a very very comfortable ear cup and I

didn't notice any sort of pinching and things and they do have a really good amount of padding apparently they also have a little channel in them as well so if you're someone that wears glasses you shouldn't get any sort of pinching from that along the braided cable is where we will find the inline control so unfortunately this headset doesn't have any controls on the headset itself I do find that to be a little bit disappointing as intuitively I always really talk to my ear to sort of change the volume in things however the inline controls are nice and small so they don't get in

the way they don't sort of bash on your shirt or anything and you have got a volume scroll wheel and also a little toggle to meet and unmute the microphone and it does have a little red indicator on there as well so you can tell when the microphone is muted so when it comes to audio I would say this headset certainly isn't bad actually do you think it's pretty decent it's just not one of the best that I've tried either a to be honest I was actually really surprised

because it sounds pretty much exactly the same as the razer nari and that is a headset so the reason re now seems really bad value for money for me because you can get basically the same sound out of an  pair of headphones I know they lack some of the features and things but it is practically the same sound I did also check to see I don't think it is the same drivers because they do have slightly different specifications however they do sound

pretty much exactly the same so when I was getting this headset it is obvious it is a gaming headset because that's where I've got the best experience using it is very very immersive everything sounds great in game because you can hear exactly what's going on around you nothing sounds muddy everything sounds very crisp crisp and clear and you can really sort of tell where enemies are where teammates are and things in when it comes to listening to music is

where it doesn't sound so great basically I do find it quite hard to describe all you but I would say maybe the troubles are like a bit harsh or something it just sounds like too crisp and it's not that it's like tinny it's just maybe the bass isn't pronounced as I would like it to be I think it's something that I could probably tweak if it had software but unfortunately being a multi-platform headset it doesn't come with software so you don't have the option you have to sort of

stick with the default profile but for gaming it sounds really good for music it doesn't sound so good basically also I did find if I really crank the volume up like really really loud to be honest it's probably too loud for anyone to actually use the headset by always do this test anyway I also did sound notice that it has a little bit of distortion as well if you do really crank the volume up so I'm now talking using the inbuilt microphone on this how's that and it's something that

Razer opted to improve over the previous version and I must say I do think it does sound pretty decent and maybe sounds slightly nasally and a little bit distant but for a gaming headset I do think it is very clear and it does definitely come through at a good volume as well the new cardioid design also does a really good job of only picking up my voice and not too much of anything that's really going on around me so you do have to play around a little bit with the

positioning you do have to make sure it's the right distance from your mouth and things like that but once you've got it right it does do a very good job and I did find to be very very effective so if I now type using my mechanical keyboard you probably really can't hear it that well although in the room that would normally be quite loud and because the microphone does that via the hardware and not software and the noise counselling doesn't give you any sort of

that weird robot II voice that you often get so in conclusion this is a headset that doesn't really come with any extra bells and whistles but I do think you get it at a pretty good price and the UK we do get a little bit screwed over but if you're in the US or in Europe I think you're getting a pretty good deal it feels like a very well-built head - that is very solid and sturdy it is attractive to look at maybe not in this bright green but you do have a few different other colors

to choose from and it does look like you spent a decent amount of cash on it it's obvious that Razer have tried to improve the comfort of the headset with a new padding on the air cups and the headband but personally I did find myself adjusting it after wearing it for quite a long period of time the audio also isn't really the best but I do think that Razer I've made some

really worthwhile improvements to the microphone so in general I do think it is a pretty well-balanced headset and I think if you're a multi-platform gamer is really worth considering .
