the keyboard here sports a full-size standard layout without any macro keys right from the number pad through to the arrow keys and the standard QWERTY keyboard keys used to get the function row of keys up top as well as media controls and dedicated volume buttons you've also got a Windows lock on here which is a great feature for gamers and I think the keyboard design aside from the typeface on the keys looks pretty fantastic the keyboard is backlit and our seven color options which can be changed by the onboard led key and most there is no compliance software for snazzy LED effects or brightness controlled I say this is a major selling point for this keyboard the bottom of the keyboard has a semi sort of built-in wrist rest if you
will which I personally really really liked and isn't too raised off the ground the keys themself are slightly shallower than you would see with standard Cherry MX keyboard and while this isn't a ton of mechanical keyboard the switches don't feel too bad they have a slightly heavier actuation force than blues with no audible feedback and are quite springy to jump back up at you you can definitely see where Coolermaster have made sacrifices and cost-saving measures if you will one of the most notable things on this keyboard that's sort of somewhat less it down is the fact that the keys aren't all backlit consistently especially from a sitting and typing angle from on top they look fantastic and doesn't look like there's a problem but from sidon sort of
friend facing and you can see some inconsistencies especially on keys that have multiple functions such as the three key also having a pounder at your wrist in water above it you also like the privilege of a braided or removable microUSB cable which has been one of the standout features of their higher-end keyboard which you can check out the reviews off in the card section now the LEDs as well as illuminating the keys also illuminate the keyboards backplate which for lighter colors like turquoise or white or the purple or yellow look absolutely fantastic but move over to like red or green and I think it does look a bit garish and does look a little bit full on moving on to the mouse it's once again overall pretty positive with a nice cross between
glossy black plastic and matte black plastic with the glossy stuff in areas that aren't prone to get fingerprints you get rubber grips down both the left and the right hand side with forward and back buttons on that left-hand side for navigating the lugs of webpages on the top of the mouse's R button to change and switch it through the cool available the same colors that around the keyboard in the following order red green blue yellow turquoise purple and white elimination you can of course also turn the elimination on both units off but on the keyboard without any lighting you can't actually read what's on the keys a lot of the time one big criticism of this mouse is in it lacks any form of physical DPI button control this is a little bit
sensitive for me out of the box but can be resolved by jumping into Windows seven to eight or ten marks control settings and turning down the scroll sensitivity it isn't a perfect solution and some what accurate dpi control would be nice here but once again it's a super affordable bundle and you can't you can't have your cake and eat it so to speak in terms of LED illumination zones this mouse once again it proves to be very impressive from the Tron lines that run down the middle to the mouse wheel the RGB LED button and the front grills if you will on the mouse which all light up your chosen color the mouse can look incredible when on now yes you don't get quite the precise control of a for sixteen point eight million color
spectrum Nord you get fancy effects but even with mice with such fancy effects after you leave it on a solid color anyways and the amount of LED zones on this Mouse Trump's that as mice that cost two three or even four times the price of this whole bundle it really is a major plus that can only praise Coolermaster on such a fantastic LED design here but overall and the big question hanging over everyone's mind is should you buy this keyboard and mouse combination or not now for 35 pounds or 25 dollars you didn't miss hear me twenty-five dollars at the time of recording this video I don't see how you can't it isn't going to replace your mechanical keyboard it isn't going to succeed it but it comes a lot lot closer than I originally imagined it worked for a budget set up I'd highly advise picking up this over a keyboard that
might cost a hundred dollars and Mouse that might costs fifty or seventy-five that money is better spent on something like a good monitor with a high refresh rate or about a graphics card and SSDs are more RAM something that's gonna have a tangible performance increase the budget gamers going for an expensive keyboard and mouse really wouldn't be what I would advise and this seems like a perfect candidate for a setup while still looking nice being functional and having LED RGB control the people to crave so damn much but that wraps out for today's review
Cooler masters Devastator combo packs have always been very reliable and popular with the budget minded consumers so can the Devastator 3 continue this legacy let's find out this keyboard and mouse combo is hitting the market which is an extremely competitive price and places it in better contention the Cougar death fire or death fire ax which is my personal favorite at the moment first up let's take a tour of the mouse on the left hand side is too stiff feeling side buttons but are positioned perfectly to be able to press either of them with ease underneath that is a fairly thick rubberized grip which is greatly appreciated although it is smooth so sweaty fingers may slide on it a bit on the right hand side is another thick rubber grip but rooting at the front is a rubber coated 2 meter long USB 2.0 connector and either side of that is the first lighting area which looks like mini air
vents on top is the satisfying to press left and right click buttons featuring Omron switches rated at 10 million clicks in between them we have a rubberized scroll with has individually defined steps a somewhat stiff actuation force required and also lighter here the side of it behind that is a slightly too far back to press conflate lighting switch which allows you to cycle through all seven colors which are red green dark blue yellow light blue purple and white but can also be switched off for more of a stealth look you can also change the DPI by holding down this button then pressing either of the side buttons to go up or down a step which is a bit annoying as doing this will also change a selected color the for dpi levels are six hundred twelve hundred eighteen hundred and twenty four hundred which is pretty good variety to cover most
gamers needs also this button is another lighting area just below that on the palm area are these Tron looking lines that also act as yet another lighting area which really pulls off this futuristic appeal I believe coolermaster was trying for on the underside is for medium size PTFE feet which gave me no issues with gliding while gaming in the middle is an unknown Avago sensor that is the final lighting area all those lighting areas are linked together and cannot be individually set size wise this mouse one hundred and nineteen millimeters long 65 millimeters wide and 37 millimeters high and weighs in at about 104 grams with a bit of cable bear quality
wise this is a very strong Mouse made out of plastic the top of the mouse is a matte finish and does show some skin oil residue but it seems to very minimal let's swap over to the keyboard and take a look at the top of the keyboard we have media controls such as stop play pause back forward and also mute and unmute which is a very welcome addition especially at this price point all keys are present as this is a full-size standard keyboard some keys to highlight which are activated when the left hand side function key is being pressed is the f11 key which locks or unlocks the keyboard the left hand side function button which enables or disables the windows
HOME key the middle plus and minus keys the increase or decrease the pulsating effect speed page up and page down which will increase or decrease the Lighting's brightness and the lighting adjust K itself which will change the colors when pressed down on its own but coupled with the right hand side function key will switch between the pulsating effect or a solid color speaking of lighting let's take a look at the colors now starting off with red green dark blue yellow light blue purple then white with also the option to disable the lighting if it's not really your thing the only effect this keyboard can do is pulsating which you'll fade each color in and
out and this fee can be adjusted by the alternative functions on the plus and minus keys oddly though the brightness function can only affect solid colors and not the pulsating effect every key displays a selected color or effect except the num lock caps lock and windows lock LEDs that stay white unfortunately the font on the key caps is legible and also follows the futuristic look underneath the key cap is cooler masters in house membrane switches which do feel a bit mushy but does give you that tactile bump to feel when pushing down so you don't bottom out the key here is a typing test for your hearing pleasure on the base of the keyboard is a nice little wrist rest which is slightly too short to be completely comfortable for me but it is appreciated
the lines on the rest seems to follow the tron-like lines from the mouse over to the back of the keyboard where we find four decent-sized rubber feet that do a great job of not letting the keyboard slide there is height adjustment provided by two plastic feet but unfortunately there is no rubber on the base of these but rooting at the top is a one point eight metre USB 1.1 connected which allows this keyboard to connect at a polling rate of 125 Hertz around a few of the edges is a glossy plastic which is especially present on the wrist rest which aesthetically adds to the keyboards overall appeal but is a nightmare for dust and fingerprints size-wise this keyboard is 450 millimeters long 148 millimeters wide and 36 millimeters high and weighs in at 806 grams now the boring stuff so other way let's do some tests first off we need to check for
sensor out at which there is none so this is a pass next up we have sense a height recognition which we do by slowly lowering the mouse to the sensor is recognized unfortunately a sensor was picked up a little too high for my liking so this is a file line prediction is up next so if you do by trying to draw a straight line and see if the sensor unnaturally corrects it which it clearly did so this is a file sensor skipping is the next test which we do by drawing a continuous spiral while checking for any breaks when the image this one is a pass the final test of the acceleration test which is done by rapidly dragging the mouse left to right to see if the cursor stops when we stop and stops where we wanted to stop I could barely tell the acceleration was present with his
sensor so this is a pass dome is our next test as it's a great game to test both accuracy and movement , another game I like to test Unreal Tournament as movement is just as important as accuracy the combo performed great in these games although I found my accuracy to be a bit lackluster in conclusion if you are just getting into PC gaming or looking at getting some better peripherals on a budget this combo is my number one pick the price to performance for this set is amazing value it with some nice simplistic lighting added in if you do
find the lighting a bit lackluster I would say go for the deathfire ax as its color options are amazing but if that doesn't interest you the Devastator 3 is my recommended by on a budget
Cooler Master Devastator 3 Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo, 7 Color Mode LED Backlit
the Devastator - keyboard and mouse combo from Coolermaster that was the accessor to the extremely popular Devastator of one of course but now a cou monster has brought out the new Devastator three with more colors so with the previous versions you only got a single color backlight but now with the new one you get seven different colors but now is it actually worth the upgrade if you already have Devastator - or even in the center one let's find out all right after this do you live in South Africa and want to get yourself some awesome new gaming products well go check out rebel Tech they have extremely low prices and I stock all the major
brands like a soos MSI gigabyte Corsair and many more you're also able to get destiny - when purchasing selected NVIDIA GTX 1080 or 1080 TI graphics cards so check out the link in the video description to go get yourself a new graphics card and a new game first is retailing for around 540 grand on rebel take earrings of Africa or on Amazon it is one of the cheapest keyboard and mouse combos on the market now the keyboard mouse is almost exactly the same than the previous models but with some minor changes here and there but I'll take a look at the mouse first you get that kind of a flat design the entire Mouse goes for more of a cool strong rock design than really ergonomic s' this isn't too bad because I think of most people who will
buy this combo won't really care for that they mostly want a cool looking Mouse in a keyboard now let's take a look at the left side you get two thumb buttons and a smooth rubber grip the thumb buttons are fixed only folds and backwards so if you want to change that you have to use a third-party program to do so but if you just want to use it for gaming it'll be fine for that now the right side you get the same design and just with no buttons there's a kind of makes it perfect for left and right handed users moving to the left and right mouse buttons which is quick to praise and doesn't need too much force to activate my left master did however have a problem
when pressing down on the front left side I got someone of a double-click it wasn't too bad but it was a bit annoying in the beginning this is probably just a factory fault and it should be able to be replaced as well the scroll wheel there is brightly illuminated on the sides and does have a rubber grip to improve scrolling the scroll wheel is a bit harder than what I would have liked but it's not too hard that you can't really even scroll the scroll wheel down the scroll wheel you get the color cycle switch that will let you change the color illumination of the mask between the seven different colors with the previous Devastator this was the dpi selection switch it still kind
of is a but now you have to press and hold the cycle switch and then press either the up or down some buttons to cycle through the four different dpi levels ranging from 600 all the way up to 2400 as well the palm rest you get that tron-like line pattern that also is illuminated now like I said in the beginning the mint aramis is a bit of a flat design this makes it a bit more comfortable for claw or fingertip style grips although you cancel use it on a palm saw grip it's just not that comfortable in my personal opinion taking a look underneath the mouse you get for small glide paths that does a decent job at delivering a smooth Glide and then in the center
with a match DPI of 2400 now I couldn't find out exactly what sensor culottes are added in the devastators 3 Mouse but it does do a good enough job at tracking it's just not going to be the best Mouse for flex shots or extremely fast control movements but again for the price it's not too bad the only thing I didn't really like was the liftoff distance that was just way too hot for my liking I personally lift up my mouse when moving around and doing that with this mouse messed up my actually quite a lot as for the cable it is 1.8 meters long and has a USB 2 port at the end now let's quickly take a look at that keyboard the devastations 3 keyboard is made out
of plastic but it is nice and firm with only a little flex to it this is also a full size keyboard with a non-removable palm rest I do like the inclusion of the palm rest because it is a lot handier but unfortunate you can't remove it again now the previous day visitors to keyboard use cool motors main chemical switches which is a hybrid of mechanical switches and normal membrane switches that usually delivers a longer lifespan and also feels better but now the device enters three keyboard does not have the main mechanical switches anymore they downgraded it to just normal membrane switches which is kind of disappointing in my opinion but now as for the switches that aren't bad by any means they do feel a bit mushy but I had no
problem gaming with them and also writing this review the Denver Center keyboards has always had really nice clear illuminations and with this one it's no exception and now you even get seven different colors whereas the previous models you only got a single static color along with that you do also get a pulsing mode that will pulse in and out of the seven different colors and you are also able to change the speeds by pressing the FN key plus either the minus or equals key you are also able to change the backup between three levels by pressing the FN plus page up or page down key to adjust the brightness if you just want to use it at night you also get dedicated media controls at the top of the keyboard where you can adjust your volume or
control your music then the lost function key is the keyboard locket that lets you lock the entire keyboard and won't register when you press on a key take a look underneath the keyboard you get to flip out keyboard feet at the top with 140 and no rubber pads but you do at least get some rubber pads at the bottom to help prevent slip as for the cable it is 1.8 meters long same as the mouse but this one has a USB 1.1 port which is kind of a downgrade which the previous model had a normal USB 2 port I'm not sure if this will reduce input accuracy but just to be safe I would have liked to have a USB 2 port now and then this is still one of the base keyboard and
mouse combos you can buy for around 500 rand or Gulam or so did at this seven color orange B backlight but in doing so to keep the price low that had to remove the main mechanical switches and replace them with normal membrane switches and you also got only a USB 1.1 connection I'm not too happy about this switches replacement but you do get more colors and the mouse does have a higher dpi as well so personally I think it is definitely still worth it especially if you are on a tight budget and you just want a cool looking RGB keyboard and mouse combo for a low price but if you do still have the normal Devastator one or two I would not really say it's worth for upgrade rather go for something a bit higher like the master
keys light that's also a really nice combo you can look at but otherwise if you just want to get entirely new keyboard and mouse combo you can definitely check out the Devastator 3 it is definitely worth the price but anyway that's pretty much it thanks for watching guys if you did like this video and you want to get the deficit or three for yourself you check out the links in your video description where you can find it on rebel tech if you live in south africa or amazon
the coolermaster Devastator 3 gaming keyboard and mouse combo with 7 million colors isn't that fantastic anyway let's stroll on down the road get them unboxed I'll come back up I'll give you all my final thoughts on them coolermaster Devastator 3 gaming keyboard and mouse combo with 7 billion colors we're just gonna do a quick unboxing to this guy here I'm gonna show you their special outside of the package here two motors on one side a little bit of information there on the top edge of the box there nothing special a little bit information on the side there and a little bit more information on the back looking inside the box here we see the
keyboard it was evil I guess owner's manual here a little bit of put key instructions here gets that turn the lights on and off changing whatnot here we have the mouse standard u.s. lay out there no number pad on the side and everything it's also got a plus - speak of always right there it does house media keys here stop play three wise forward and there's a function key change so many functions you know this looks like a light key here here's another function key there goes up with a function key go up and down here - just brightness whatnot over colors they're taking a closer look at the mouse here see sleek block you know he's got a like button right there
against adjust the colors are you lighting he's also got a forward and back button right there I don't know if they're programmable to do different things or not they feel like they're in a real comfortable spot it's got a really smooth scroll wheel with middle click you know of course you get your left in the right and the little pads on the bottom there to help it glide pretty smooth once I get this guy set up and everything I'll show you how he lights up and how to change colors and whatnot so here's the key or mouths all set up now seven different colors over here and we'll start at the beginning here and this is completely off now well that's off there's not a
whole lot of visibility there the keys I mean it's almost completely blacked out so it's pretty hard to determine what you're doing unless you know where you typed it but anyway go through the color cycle there we have red we have green we have blue we have yellow and then we've got a lighter blue kind of teal color there and then we got purple and then white keyboard feels pretty responsive it's got a couple media keys like a pointed out before for different things the guys are adjustable feet they're on the bottom and you raise up give it a little bit of angle keyboards pretty good feels real nice to type on it's got a nice little clicky sound to it coming to
the mouse the mouse has got a forward and back button there on the side the wheel does not tilt left or right but it does middle click in and it got your left and right click there and then you also got color just button there and you can go through all the same colors there and go through off and in red green blue yellow that lighter blue kind of teal color purple and then white the only thing I don't like about the mouse is the fact that once you reboot the computer the mouse does not retain its memory settings but looking online from what the information I could find it seems to me that the keyboard does have some kind of memory built in as long as the system doesn't completely lose power like your power goes out or something like that or you unplug it
from the wall the keyboard will retain its color memory but the mouse doesn't have that memory and can't do it so that might be in a little bit of annoyance for some unless you like red cuz it always starts up on red I'm gonna come back up I'm gonna give you my final thoughts and everything on the keyboard there and tell you what I think so anyway that was done boxing slight review the Devastator 3 gaming keyboard and mouse and seven brilliant color about coolermaster overall it is midbrain keyboard it's not mechanical or semi mechanic or anything like that it's a straight membrane it feels pretty tactile you know it's got a real good response I don't feel the glaze or anything when I was setting it up or using it anyway you can go from seven different colors white red green dark blue yellow a lighter blue and purple the keyboard for some whatever reason does seem to retain whatever color setting you had it set on the
mouse on the other hand doesn't seem to do that every time you reboot the mouse seems to go back to default of red or whatever color it was they're defaulting to maybe that might not bother you it bothers me I'm a little bit OCD about stuff like that but my sister wasn't too bothered by like I said it kind of aggravating to me I've got a dot I got a knock off the star for that but otherwise for the price with the mouse included it's good value like I said if you can get past that little color change thing on the mouse you shouldn't have no problem with it I'll put a
link for him down in the review description below and go pick one up if you like that's about all I got to say if you found this review educational informative or enjoyable please be sure to give me a like and subscribe and share it sure would mean a lot to me you can visit me on social media by visiting any of these links that are appearing on the page of your screen now .
