VicTsing Gaming Keyboard Mouse Combo review
VicTsing Gaming Keyboard Mouse Combo review
what's up guys welcome back so the spirit of us doing the reviews on the budget build back here I figured I'd give you guys a couple options for budget peripherals if you guys are looking for that as well so in terms of like a monitor or something like that I don't have one in house but we have done a review on a budget monitor that I still would suggest you and I will link it up here for you soon guys so you guys can check that out it's a great monitor I would still suggested but as far as a keyboard and mouse you guys still need a couple options for that so a company called vicked Singh they're on Amazon and you may have seen their products on there before they make some pretty budget oriented peripherals and they're actually a lotbetter than you may think from my testing anyway and I figured they'd be a great little option for you guys if you guys are looking for a set of budget peripherals and it may be a great you know accompaniment to this budget PC we just built back here so let's go ahead and roll our intro and I'll get right into what this mouse and keyboard feature let's go, so before I get into all the features of this mouse and keyboard let's go ahead and do a quick unboxing of
both of them so you guys can see what the experience is like ,so already at first glance they look awesome on my desk and with the new build I think they're looking great with all that RGB flowing so they definitely match the build that we just did and I think first we're gonna go ahead and do is we're gonna go ahead and start with the mouse so this mouse came from Vic Singh but if you look at it on Amazon it's actually from a company called pic tech I'm not sure if they're actually the same company or they're different but that's just so you guys could be able to find it so this mouse has an ergonomic FPS style layout and four hands that are about you know medium to large like mine it would totally be fine it's just a little bit more narrow than my usual Mouse that I use which is in Corsair iron claw and I'll show you the comparison right here so as you can see right here it's right next to my Corsair iron claw and it's just a bit narrower you can see that the Corsair our clog comes out a bit more as far as its width so if you guys are used to a bit more wider of a mouse and you're more comfortable with that you may
want to look at a different option but I did find as soon as I got used to this mouse in the width that it is it was still an enjoyable FPS experience this mouse is rated for 30 million clicks and it features a frosted as they call it surface and it's really just that rubberized texture that you guys know and love so it feels very great in your hands this mouse features 10 programmable buttons that you can set to basically do whatever you would like but generally like in this configuration right here the top two buttons are the right and left click as always and then there's an extra button there they call the fire button I'm sure you can macro that to do whatever you would like and then the scroll wheel of course can click as well and then the top dpi buttons that are usually there there's three of them actually and the top two are for turning your dpi up and down which also this mouse goes up to 12,000 dpi so you guys can really get
whatever rate you guys really really are comfortable with and then that back mouse button is actually to change the RGB colors and lastly this thing features these three side buttons which are the usual two bumper buttons as I like to call them and then it also has the sniper button is a lot of companies call it it is this outermost button right here and they usually use that as some kind of macro or whatever you do in your games you can use it to throw a grenade or something like that but it can be useful if you do need to use it now texture-wise and comfortability wise I really do like the mouse as it does have the rubberized texture that I know and love and it also does have this other texturized kind of characteristic to the sides in the
mouse that really keep it from slipping out of your hand and it feels really nice and as I said before the mouse does feature a 12,000 dpi sensor on the bottom that feels really great especially in FPS games with a I tested I had no problems with it and then on the bottom it does have a secret little hidden feature you can just go open the bottom like so and out come all the waits for the mouse so you can actually take out or put back in any weights on this that you
would like to fully customize the weight of your mouse which is a very cool addition to a mouse that is really only just one thing I wish I would have included is some kind of button to actually push out the the release for putting these in and out because you do just kind of have to turn this little latch that's on it and then try to like bump the mouse to get it out so that could be one thing that could add to this is just kind of adding like a little bit of a button to make this thing come out easier that's all okay so now we're gonna move on to the keyboard so this may be one of the only times that I review a non-mechanical keyboard on this channel because I'm so used to mechanical keyboards now that usually I don't use anything else but this one piqued my interest just because of the large feature set that it has and I'll go through that here in just a minute but the main thing that drew me to this keyboard is because it has this little feature right here it has a little tray at the top of the keyboard that you just pull out and you can take your smartphone or some kind of device and you can actually set it in there and it will actually
hold your smartphone or whatever device you put in there so you can actually have it sitting in front of you while you're gaming working whatever that way so if you get a text or something like that you can actually see that somebody texted you and it's actually pretty useful because I noticed when I'm editing and stuff like that I don't notice my phone a lot of times and like right now my girlfriend's calling me and I would have missed that it would have been in my pocket so there you go that I didn't even plan that guys that just happened so this keyboard is listed as a mechanical feeling keyboard and to be honest compared to my other keyboard you can see right here it's really not the same but it does it feel a little bit better than some membrane keyboards yes it does but I will let you have a comparison listen to what they both sound like right now and just keep in mind this is a you know membrane mem canticle whatever you want to call it's not mechanical actually it's just a membrane keyboard that has the mechanical feel and then this keyboard up here is actually a mechanical keyboard that has Cherry MX silent
keys in it so I'll let you listen to the difference right now another feature this keyboard that I did find really awesome was the fact that on the top right of it it does have dedicated media keys with a volume scroll wheel which is really really cool to see on a budget keyboard and some high-end keyboards don't even have this kind of stuff and then over on the top left side there's actually quick launch keys for certain programs it's pretty cool to have that kind of stuff especially the calculator that one's always useful but the one thing I don't like here is the fact they have Internet Explorer right there why can't they have that as Google I'm just kidding that's a personal gripe of mine because you guys already know that I use Google Chrome but that's fine I'm sure you can make map that to do Google anyway it's just kind of funny they have Internet Explorer on there so aside from those features this keyboard actually is spill resistant it says so if you are a messy gamer and you happen to spill on your keyboard quite a bit you're kind of protected there it doesn't say it's like spill proof but it does say it's spill
resistant so I think there's some kind of stuff in there that will they'll help you out if you do happen to spill on and accidentally so of course this keyboard does have a ton of lighting modes and I'm trying to go through a couple of them here just so you guys get the idea but just pressing the function key right here and some of these keys right here this can actually change the lighting up and down and then this one right here will change the speed of the lighting so you can make it really slow or you can make it really fast so you can either have static colors or you can change like the RGB setting so if you hold up a function and press delete it'll do different RGB patterns so you can do like a wave and a different type of wave pattern pretty much and like a circle pattern kind of thing if you press this it'll kind of just be a solid RGB color and you can actually change it to breathe as well like that and then if you press home it'll start doing these solid colors and I believe it's the solid colors that breathe on that one and then you can just change it to whatever color you prefer and then if you press end I believe it just
changes it right nope just kidding' that's the solid colors that breathe but yeah you can have solid colors there or you can have the breathing solid colors and then if you also press function and the page up or page down you can actually enter the customizable mode where you can actually make your own customizable layout options so you can do this press page up and then you can basically just do whatever you'd like with the numbers and then kind of record your own customizable color layout so of course a keyboard like this does come with its quirks like this logo right here in the middle that only stays red there's no customizable option for that so you gotta cool if you could customize that to match the rest of the keyboard but unfortunately you cannot and then even though it already has dedicated media keys there are duplicates of it on the F keys right now I'm not sure why they did that but I guess maybe they just left them there but uh I guess they could have been something else if you wanted them to be but yeah just so you guys know there they're there twice and they do advertise online that the sides have a strip light that lights up and you can see that it does do that and I think they're using the
process of kind of using like the other parts of the illumination like where the keys are - hopefully illuminate this side and I think it's just relying on the light from the keys to pass through this to create the illusion that it is lighting up alright so I hope you guys enjoyed this video I hope this gave you a couple options if you guys weren't looking for some budget oriented peripherals you didn't know what to buy of course if you guys are not really into and then the terms of the keyboard if you're not into like the membrane keyboards like this one is if you're more into the mechanical ones they do make those kind of options as well for mechanical keyboards if you want something more clicky or even like a 10 keyless design they do make those as well and don't like a couple of in the description so you guys have a few different
options alright
VicTsing Gaming Keyboard Mouse Combo review
with a keyboard review and I scooped this keyboard up for 20 bucks now I believe it was listening around like I don't know 23 and some change but then you got to apply a coupon and brought it right down to like 20 and some change I believe right now as a film in this video it's back up to regular MSRP which is around 28 29 but again I scooped it up right around 20 bucks so that's what I'm gonna review it off of so no is this is a Vic Singh I'm probably saying that wrong Vic Singh it's a Chinese company I can't get that debt TS sing sing Vic sing I don't know but uh anyways model number PC one four nine a Vic sing that sounds that sounds better right am i doing that right anyways let's pop it open and see if it's worth that twenty dollars right you know what I'd actually like to do before I actually start looking over and talking about my opinion I want to bring you guys in for some close-ups I'll plug it in get theRGB rolling everything cuz I want you guys be on the same level as me anew and kind of talk about it together so let me bring you to show you [Music] all right so as you just saw those close-ups in my opinion I think it looks pretty good right I mean that metal frame is what sold me again when I was shopping online I saw the price and I said metal frame I pretty much stopped looking at anything else I said for that price add to cart checkout you know what I made a metal frame and again right around the 20 bucks I mean you just couldn't go wrong right and like I said as far as looks I think it looks great most years know I'm not a big RGB you know fan I'm gonna like it I think it's cool and everything but I don't believe in paying extra money for it right and honestly this guy I just wanna close up that's all it does and stays steady like this or you can make it pulse how we were doing any close-ups and the pulse
honestly looks pretty cheesy it doesn't like it doesn't have a smooth breathe like it you know goes lower than off then back on you know it's not really nice smooth you can speed it up and you know slow it down if you like it smooths out a little bit but again you can't change any of the colors of the zones you can't make it a steady color it's pretty much just like this and honestly the RGB looks good now when you get that RGB that's underneath as you see on the strip right here and again I have the lights on so you kind of uh you can't see it too well but you can see right there underneath the keys you have this little RGB strip right on the bottom of the keyboard that's pretty dull like even with the lights out it's pretty dull especially when you go over here to the blue it doesn't really shine out over here over the greens and the reds and Pink's it pretty much stands out but again that's not as vibrant as I'd like to be that's probably
just being nitpicky but again with the lights out you can see it but still with the lights out it's like I said dull all right now I'm going on and on about build here and everything right but I think I think that's really big a concern especially at a twenty dollar keyboard right one other thing I wanted to point out again as you saw on the close-ups before the metal let that they stayed on there is really thin I kind of thought it was like metal and then the plastic would kick up the whole bottom right but as you can see right over here that lifts out as you saw in the closest as well you have two plastic with the keyboard and then it's kinda like a sheet of metal over the top like real thin piece right where that kind of fall sauce with the thin sheet of metal on top and then the plastic is our keyboard down there I don't think it's necessarily those two things I think we're they missed and if you guys can see you have rubber foot here rubber foot here appear and here these guys that are right over here really don't even touch you know but
pretty much have these two and then those two over there and what happens is you get flex right in the middle I don't even know if you guys can see that on camera again it's not like this drastic the mountain where it's like oh man it seems a piece of junk because of that but it's it's clearly there and you got to press on a decently of course you're pushing through metal you know but I think what they should have done it on oh can I do this with a felt pad I don't know they need one right here and right here right in the middle on both points of the keyboard and I think that would have resolved that we would had good balance across again I can probably go get some felt bats for a couple bucks put them right there I'll be good to go maybe not felt pads let me go with rubber feet so I don't start sliding around everywhere right you managed to put some felt pads all over the place game it all right so let's close out the bill right and honestly in my opinion I think it gets a pass the two things that I would fault it on again are the kind of
chintzy USB but that's not a deal-breaker right that's gonna be sitting there we're gonna be playing with our keyboard right but the biggest thing that really kind of upset me about the keyboard and made me stop using it faster than I prefer was to give in the middle again it's not like horrible but it's noticeable again I should put those rubber feet on the bottom that's the biggest deal breaker is that flex right in the middle but again a couple of rubber feet that you get at Walmart or anywhere so let's go on and get into the performance of it how does it work in game it or just daily use on your PC right is it gonna cut it at first off what I'd like to do is give you a sound test I'm gonna screw just a little bit closer it might be out of frame there but again our mic is about give or take two and a half feet or so from the keyboard so it's gonna be the exact distance that you know most people be sitting from their keyboard screws a little bit closer against our we're out of frame but I want the mic to be right there and I'm gonna do it
right here again it is membrane as I'm talking I'm just yakking law I'm doing to sanitize you guys like man hush so I can hear the keyboard you know , I got all sorts of crazy stuff coming up on my computer I don't even know what the heck came up I was over there typing you know what I mean but in my opinion I thought it sounded pretty good you know the spacebar is a little a little loud as you can see right here the spacebar is a bit bigger than the most space bars and you see it kind of gaps down let me bring it in a show yet see how this comes down a little bit so space bar is a little bit bigger so it gets a little cranky but other than that it's smooth it's a nice membrane keyboard it's not excess press or anything it does it it works but what I personally couldn't get used to and let me see if you guys can see this I'm gonna bring you in one more time just take a look at the keys and get you a nice angle here and just follow it right so just follow those keys there we go let me get you a side view as well there you go that's perfect right there so what I wanted to show you there was
how flush these keys are right I mean you can just rub your hand across and it just goes across perfectly smooth and that really just ruined my gaming experience for me cuz I'm over here you know going to town and I'm just accidentally hitting all these other keys like most of the kids got a little bit of an indention or they raised up and kind of separate a little bit more and this one again since they're flat and they're all right up on each other right there I ended up whacking other keys so as far as gaming sure you can game with it is it the best of game with no but again if you're looking for a basic work keyboard or school keyboard or something like that you're just you know browsing a shopping online stuff like that on your computer I think you're gonna be totally happy with this thing as far as gaming no it's not gonna be the best you can find you know as far as that price at 20 bucks I don't think you're gonna go wrong you know what I mean but again you're gonna I think you know not just me and my chunky fingers I think anyone else is gonna get that fat finger on there as well you know again because it's just so flush right there but I mean all in all like at 20 bucks at the regular MSRP that it's listed
right now is I'm making this videos like 29 I think it's will I coupon something like that no I don't think I'd recommend it at that 30 dollar price range but if you see that 20 bucks I mean you just you can't go wrong with that 20 bucks again the build is solid you know how long will it last over time I don't know well the paint started rubbing off on the keys I'm not too sure about that but basic usability at 20 bucks I mean it's solid but if there's one thing you can take out of this review just take that just because so-and-so has a keyboard that's doesn't make
it the best keyboard out there right you can find very quality products for a very low price and again this thing totally shocks me at 20 bucks you know what I mean but again like I said don't just think cuz this keyboards 200 bucks makes it the best keyboard or the other way around if these keyboards 10 or 20 bucks means it's an absolute piece of garbage again just look into them and I think you'll be really shocked what you find out there.
