hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back ,today we're checking out a gaming mouse from Razer it's this guy right here the Razer a basilisk basilisk that's a bit of a mouthful ergonomic gaming mouse and let's jump right into it where the looks there so looks wise it's pretty good for an ergonomic Mouse I mean a lot of these can look really bad as I'm sure you guys have seen before but this guy looks pretty good I think you know it's still black all over pretty standard for racer but you know I think it looks pretty good it's got the RGB lighting up on the scroll wheel does look nice and back down on the Razer logo but overall I think it has a pretty

good look to it yeah I don't have a problem with it but let's talk about comfort then because that's the most important thing with an ergonomic Gaming Mouse and comfort wise I have to say it is very good honestly I don't have any really big issues with it at all there's a rubber thumb rest over on the left hand side it's really good I don't know why this is you know we do see it a bit now but it should just be kind of like commonplace in my mind anyway a lot of people like having a thumb rest I don't know why we're not seeing it basically everywhere by now on the gaming mouse front but whatever anyways so it's rubber as well and there's rubber

on the L side that makes it easy to grip and this is really nice design wise it doesn't have too high of an arch like we see on some of the other rays of mice so that's pretty good you kind of your hand sits very nicely on it's not as flat as the duckie secret Mouse which is my personal mouse and I quite like the feel of this guy honestly if you have light large hands or small hands I think you're gonna find it very comfortable it's very good like that it's very versatile that's how I would put it the comfort is very good and with a weight of a hundred and seven grams that's pretty standard for a wide Gaming Mouse so I think most people wouldn't have an issue with

that either so yeah on the comfort front but I just say most people will really like this Gaming Mouse however what about that sense so the sensor it's coming with is Razer zone 5g optical sensor with true 16,000 dpi which you know still we go and about this no one's ever gonna use that much honestly most of you won't even go over say 4000 dpi let alone anyway close to 16,000 I personally use around two-and-a-half thousand to three thousand generally and that's because I'm using a 28 inch 4k display but most people are not going to be using anywhere over 4000 unless they've got some ridiculous it up but yet the sensor itself I found to be only okay

now this is a bit of a strange one for me so of course with every gaming mouse that I review I go into the software set everything up the way I like it and get it just right but for some reason this one I just couldn't dial it into the way I really want it I don't think it's so much to do with the DPI but more the acceleration I'm not sure what it was but I just couldn't seem to get it just right for me personally in saying that I think for most people who are able to dial it in this will be a fantastic sensor on paper it really should be so I think it was just me personally it could have also been the fact that I wasn't using this with a mouse pad I just test it straight on my

hard disk that is something I've started doing for basically the past like six months or so that was in order to not use a specific brands mouse pad because obviously that would favor that brand I was using a big ducky mouse pad before which may've you know made the ducky Secret Mouse seem a bit bitter so that's why I've cut that out but even with yeah the point being that I just couldn't get it set up just right but I think that is something more personally that I'm encountering but of course if you have this game mouse please let me know in the comment section down below what you think of it and have you managed to dial it and just right for you because as I just said on paper it should be very very good yeah let's move over to the buttons

and scroll wheel then and this is definitely the best part of this Gaming Mouse the buttons and the scroll wheel so the Razer mechanical left and right click feel super honestly they're so satisfying guys the right and left click very good feel and I just really really liked them the scroll wheel was a bit of a funny one so on the underside of the mouse you may have seen this resistance sort of scroll and that allows you to change the resistance on the scroll wheel itself so you can make it very very loose so it's basically like a free spin more or less and you can make it very very stiff and that it's quite hard to move it of course most people set it sort of somewhere in between and that's what I like because often you hear me complain saying you know all this

Gaming Mouse the scroll wheels too stiff or it's too loose but this one you can dial it in just right so I really like that about it back from the scroll wheel you have the DPI buttons nice and out-of-the-way that's always good then over on the left hand side you have the forward and back buttons once again out of the way and easy to use and then finally you have the sniper button now there's actually this is replaceable there's three different types which vary in size and that allows you to you know put on whichever one you like whichever one suits your needs so that's really good too because sometimes it can be really big and soda in the way and other times they can be too small and actually quite hard too so it's good that razer did this they've really

thought it through with this Gaming Mouse in terms of making one that would appeal to the widest audience I think trying to make the safest Gaming Mouse they possibly could in many ways and I think that's what this one does really well so let's move over to the software then so you have to run this you know race is about putting out so you have synapse which has been around for a very long time now since I started talking this channel I think and now they have raised a central what just kind of like to control everything I don't know it's just getting a bit complicated they need like that the amount of updates is just crazy and I'm just not a huge fan of it but the software itself is fine very easy to use very straightforward it's very clean looking

and you can set it up just right so the software itself is fine I just find it to be one of the most annoying of all the peripheral software's that I've used raises ones just they're just probably one of the more annoying ones out there in terms of all the updates and everything else it's just quite complicated to use which brings us to the conclusion and what do I make of the Razer basilisk economic gaming mouse so right now in New Zealand at play tick you can pick this guy up for a hundred and fifteen New Zealand dollars at that price point there's quite a bit of competition but I think it's still a solid price point for this Gaming Mouse because you're

getting a lot with it I think it's a good-looking game mouse and it's definitely very comfortable I think it's a very safe choice in terms of comfort for any hand size you know you know whether you're a guy or girl whatever you know you'll be safe with this Gaming Mouse that's what I think the Saints are though that is where it gets a bit tricky for me anyway I personally didn't have a very good experience with this one although I think it is just something to do with how I was using it well the fact that I couldn't get it dolled in the way I liked for my needs but as I said on paper it should be a very good sensor and that's why I want to check it to you guys as well in the comment section if you own one of these please please tell me what do you think of

the Sansa do you really like it or have you had trouble darling it in as well in terms of setting it up exactly the way you like now the buttons and the scroll wheel absolutely fantastic some of the best I've ever tasted on a game now it's really good and the fact the a lot of its adjustable as well is very good the stop button and the scroll wheel I really like that and overall I would say this is a safe choice it's a very versatile choice as well for a bigger audience out there and that's what I would say about it so yeah would I recommend it sure I would recommend the scary Mouse it's gonna be a safe versatile choice for a lot of people out there however one thing I will say to you guys is that if you're considering buying this Gaming Mouse obviously check the

pricing where you live but also check the competition especially from Logitech because at this at a similar price point you could get a very good Logitech Gaming Mouse and and that's gonna be the main competition I see for this guy being from Logitech in terms of people looking for quite a comfortable good Gaming Mouse to use that's basically what I would say so definitely look there first but if you just you just want to say choice for a gaming mouse right now yeah sure check this one out I think it would be a very good choice for many of you guys out there now

Razer Basilisk Wired FPS Gaming Mouse with True 16.000 DPI 5G Optical Sensor review

the razor basilisk FPS gaming mouse so this is the person is a product that I have bought let's see how it goes the box isn't really in a perfect condition but it looks fine we've got the product details here the features and this is more or less how the Box looks let's go ahead and unbox this baby I hope this is the correct side Oh Linea has to be okay yes the mouse itself here's some paperwork basileus congratulations from razor and here's some manual just put this away for now oh my goodness out now okay there it does Oh feels pretty good you know mr. cable that's braided don't see the Raisin Bran in here and of course the team color green let's just put the box of me mas feels pretty comfortable you can see that there's a thumb rest over here we've

got to peel this this is the resistance knob of the scroll wheel feels pretty comfortable let's go ahead and listen to the clicks so you can change the resistance of the scroll wheel that's pretty hard and this is the profile button I'm guessing you can see the side rubber grips over here okay back into the box we have the watch button see over here actually good material like damn that's that's like a coin dropping magnetic goes right in there just there you go it's just lit up if you don't wanna use the button at all we'll try I'll just keep him at an or down so what I was scared about I don't have nails okay this is rubber and these two are actually links ding steel yeah that's all I guess him in the box yep okay so the real reason why I bought this mouse was

because the mouse four of my previous mouse was quiet so we can see like there is no click at all and this was the binding for my mic toggle so I had to use Moss five but temporarily and that was quite a thing for me I had to get used to Mouse five them so finally I got a new mouse the only thing I felt that was kind of bad about this mouse was the click was a little bit harder to press the trowel was more but that's proximal preference of course so anyways we've got this new Mouse here so by by Zeus big ones let's go ahead and plug this baby in and there's the RGB razors known for its RGB and as soon as I plug the mouse in the raises of that pops up automatically let's jump right into the software guys so yes that is a synapse software as you can see there are multiple modules under the software including macro and nano leaf so what I'll do is I'll go ahead and install it it's 409 MB it will take a while to download so I will skip this part one eternity later so the installation is completed the next step is signing in to your razor

ID so once you're done signing in you will see your Razer synapse supported devices show up here along with them you will see the different modules so I will go ahead and click on razor Basilisk that is the device that we have right here and there's a tutorial that shows up you can just keep continuing there are two modes to this mouse that is the standard and the hyper shift wherein both can be individually configured and here's the onboard memory this Mouse supports four onboard memory profiles and if we click this menu like button over here we can see the different functions of the mouse let's go ahead to the performance tab and here you can change the sensitivity so I will enter my custom dpi settings or CPI which can be changed in steps of 50 so I'll go ahead and enter these 1000 and I'll let this be 1600 the last one I'll keep it

as maximum the polling rate I'll set it as maximum that's thousand Hertz and you can also enable the axis moving on to lighting there is a bar for the brightness there is advanced and quick effects and the tutorials are on as you can see there are a lot of effects over here which you can go and play around with I'll just click on don't save for now moving on to calibration here you can calibrate your mouse according to the surface of the mousepad that you have so what I have here is the Razer goalie earthís so imma go ahead and select that and hit on

calibrate and one really cool feature about this mouse is that the left of distance is adjustable which you can change right here and that covers up most of the features of this mouse and a basic tour of the Razer synapse software thanks for tuning in and I will see you guys next time
