the cursor has few models in line from before they decided to up their game a bit with the new void Pro RGB 7.1 model which I have today in front of me the whole current existing range of the void series of gaming headsets is actually getting this Pro upgrade in this queue naming as well as getting the new feature set of course starting from this round model to the wireless models with MSRP price staying put where it was in the first place so judging by that I would

assume that they will completely replace the existing lineup and as for my model this particular one is the USB one which goes for  first glance it's probably hard to notice any difference compared to the regular void RGB model just by looking at the power box or even when taking a look at the specifications of the headset the packaging itself is a bit different now we don't have that transparent window on the right half of the box that said the experience of opening it up is not the same but at least it's a bit simpler now beside your usual use your

manual you'll also get a small pop filter which is a great add-on if you care to use it and of course here's the headset itself all the design of the headset seems to be exactly the same compared to the regular voice series there are a few subtle and a couple of big changes for subtle ones we have design details on the ear cups where we now don't have those RGB LED lines running on the edge of the ear cups but rather just this very clean and glossy black surface with Corsairs RGB log on it which to my pleasant surprise actually doesn't pick up fingerprint

marks easily on the ear cups themselves on the left side we'll find your microphone mute switch and below it on the bottom side of the ear cup a volume rocker which can also be used for changing the EQ switch short press or turning off and on the Dolby headphone support with a long press moving further up we have these aluminum polish images which allow ear cups to travel in any direction so they can adjust better to your head shape and size of course we also have a resizable headband which is made out of metal while for the alter finish it's wrapped in

this very good quality steel plastic shell which is also used on the ear cups bottom line one thing is in my opinion very clear and that is that this headset is one of the better-looking out there but it's pretty outside of the box design supporting this fairly minimalistic and simple approach while also keeping the build quality and sturdiness up there among best comfort wise depending of the ear cups is very thick and not too soft just the right amount and without

providing overwhelming lateral pressure they will cover up your whole ear thus bringing somewhat of a passive noise canceling feature and so isolating you from the sounds coming from the outside the top padding on the headband also sits comfortably on the head as it has this very soft memory like fold overall this headset is very comfortable to use just as it was before and probably slightly better even on my above-average side head and doing longer use

sessions and that can also probably be attributed to the headset fairly low weight one thing you can pick up right away in terms of being new is the noise cancelling microphone we still have this rubberized arm boom but now it's completely changed in terms of design while its internals are also upgraded expect wise the tip points of the microphone is also redesigned as we now have this red LED indicator for when the microphone is muted going around the bloom the

boom itself is pretty long and flexible and it will stay put in a certain position if you make it do so that's all well and good but let's check out how does it sound this raw audio recording was done using the microphone on Corsairs voice Pro RGB headset and that's without the pop filter well they throw audio recording was also done using the microphone on Corsairs void Pro RGB headset but now with the pop filter on feel free to tell me how does it sound in the comment

section below is it any good to you thing is pretty okay around average performing it lacks a bit of warmth and depth to it lastly for connecting up we have your regular 1.8 meter long rubberized USB type a cable and that's pretty much it having only this kind of connection available this headset is only meant for supporting PC platforms windows in particular in terms of supporting other platforms like PlayStation and Xbox feel free to check out the

Corsairs void Pro surround model taking the headset finally for spin although they've used the same spec 50 millimeter neodymium drivers Corsair claims that they've completely rebuilt and retune them the base is pretty punchy although it can slightly muddy out the mids and highs which are pretty decent in terms of music listening definitely above average for a gaming headset when it comes to games and movie watching especially taking into consideration all the

headphone 7.1 feature devoid proper form is really good I could pick up enemy's footsteps and bullets without a problem but it sets a pretty convincing environment in movies without changing the sound profile too much which is something I can get Maggie about thankfully if you don't like the sound profile of the headset out of the box you can fine tune it to your liking using the pretty straightforward Corsair utility engine application which might I add came a

long way since I tried it last time here you can set up a custom EQ profile or choose one of the presets turn on or off the Dolby headphone 7.1 support bring up microphones volume or size tone and of course let's not forget the option to change the RGB logo color and glowing patterns which we have plenty of as you can see it here in my demonstration RGB everything everything
RGB RGB that's it guys for this time .

a new wireless headset it specifically targets for gaming with a new improved microphone but exactly how Pro is it let's find out right after this cool master master keys keyboard lineup is now available and three sizes to fit within your space with large medium and small boards with either beautiful RGB or pure white LED illumination it little something for everyone make it yours with the master keys Pro by Cooler Master alright so the new avoid pros come in various

price points from this plus tradition for the wireless Edition I find these price points actually pretty competitive because even though if the sound quality is not amazing the wireless factor is valuable so what exactly is new you might ask between the avoid Pro and the original voids not much has changed so what Corsair has added now is a new flexible arm for the microphone so it's just generally sturdy or build but unfortunately it still feels kind of weak and that rotation

point just like the original void alright so this is what the microphone sounds like on the new void pros they have added a mic beautification alley by simply pulling the mic up but I find it weird that we still have a mic mute button on the side that you still have to go in and make sure not to press the on button instead I do like that there's a red LED on the tip of the microphone to indicate when the mic is muted in terms of the actual sound quality of the microphone it's

only okay it's passable for game chat but it's nowhere near the depth or the quality of like wired gaming headsets in a similar price range like the GSP 300 or the HyperX clouds in terms of noise cancellation there is background compression I am typing on very loud MX blue switches right now you can still pick them up but they are muted and what you're hearing now is the microphone from the original void RGB the thing is this microphone very flimsy it

doesn't have any flexibility in terms of where you want in position and around your mouth but in terms of sound quality to me they sound identical to devoid prose and finally for comparison this is the son Heiser game one which I think has the best microphone on the gaming headset it doesn't have as much noise cancellation as the other two but it has a lot more body to the sound it's very rich and detailed in the vocals so if you want to have priority and the microphone

quality then perhaps a wild connection is better choice for you we do still have all the same controls on the left ear cup so you can turn the headphone on you can mic mute here as well and there's that one joystick that can increase the volume or decrease the volume you can change the EQ profiles by signal pressing it or long pressing it enables Dolby Surround I do like that we can switch within five EQ profiles and you get an audible notification and letting you

know which profile you're on and you can play around with the you know the EQ equalizer stuff so that you can sort of fine tune and how exactly you like each preset to sound it's a nice implementation and the software overall is very simple to use so it's good they've also added an LED near the mic USB port to indicate battery level and charging the one thing that I don't like though is it's constantly flashing so I'm not sure exactly how much battery it's consuming but there are levels so green means you know it's good orange means you should probably check

out your battery and red means recharge is needed so the one thing Corsair definitely needs to improve is letting users know and how much charge they have left on their void Pro headsets you can check that in the software it gives you a little percentage but they don't give you how many hours is left so that's a little bit unfortunate and I wish that we had a little button combination that we could press on these buttons so that a voice prompt would say like 10 hours remaining on a charge or something like that so that it's a little bit more clear on how

many more hours you can use this headset you know before recharging but the battery life on this thing with RGB enabled is actually pretty terrible I lost 30% of my charge in just one hour that's unacceptable so you definitely want to disable this if you don't want to be constantly struggling to recharge the headset because these RGB LEDs on both sides consume a lot of power and in comparison you lose about 15% of the charge in three hours of game time so RGB by default should be disabled and really does not make any sense on this wireless pair a few

more things that I don't like are the glossy parts on both sides which are gross they just get covered in finger marks these size adjustable headband is actually quite good for bigger heads but it's not as tight as I would like and they can fall off easily with just a swift head movement the thing is they switched out the foam for memory foam which is now you can conform to your head size but because of this because it's not as thick anymore it doesn't sit as snug on your

head however they have improved the rotation cuffs mechanism which feels a lot more sturdy and not as loose as only original and can sit on your neck like this so you don't have to take them off now each avoid pro while this headset comes with this USB transmitter but unfortunately you cannot use the headset without the dongle plugged in for example if I was to charge the headset put the included USB cable I needed to have the USB dongle also plugged in

in order to use this thing so this USB microUSB at the bottom is only for charging it does not pass any data so this if you go for the wireless version is a wireless headset only now there is an auto shutdown feature built into the headset which is great to preserve battery life but unfortunately it doesn't initiate when I shut down my computer so we went from 17% to 4% in the morning which is kind of ridiculous the PC was off but somehow the headset was still pulling power why so you either have to turn off your headset during the night or get

accustomed to plugging it in so you have enough charge for the next day and for wireless headset you kind of lose the novelty of it being Wireless if you have to constantly think about the battery life have to constantly think about turning it off during the evening or having to recharge it everyday in half in order to have any power come next day so if you can overlook

the battery status which I think is the major sort of downfall of this headset the arrange and the sound quality are actually pretty good so in the range they advertise forty feet in my example I could easily go six meters with multiple walls in between without any interference to my sound quality so you know if my speakers die and I to walk around with a wireless headset with streaming audio from my computer that is absolutely no issues here with the signal so the 2.4

gigahertz band is doing its job very well and as for the sound signature for a wireless pair these are not terrible they look amazing by any means like my game one that have very good bass response and fantastic clarity for an open-style headset the Void pros have very good clarity nice detail and a lot of power at seventy percent volume I was listening to things comfortably and gives you a little bit extra juice in there if you want to really blast your ears and surprisingly without distortion if you go to like 100 percent volume and cs:go my map

awareness through audio cues was very familiar so if you want to use this in better scene without the cord that works and for more immersion and lots of layered audio cues with bass field chaos like bf1 still delivered very nice mid-range stones without the bass overpowering all the the other frequencies so if you want good audio without the cord the Void pros are way to go and that's what the surround sound itself it's using the Dolby surround sound and it's

actually not terrible all it does is just widen the soundstage a little bit so things feel a little bit distant stereo imaging becomes like you're trying to hear something from speakers right in front of you instead of hearing something really close in your headset things become a little bit more booming so the bass is a bit extended and it extends into the mid-range so it's not too Pleasant but for you know for gaming it doesn't fully destroy the layering so the positional

awareness that you normally get with stereo is not totally compromised in the Dolby surround sound and I normally don't recommend surround sound but here it's actually not too bad but I still would recommend going with stereo if you want to get full positional accuracy because again with Dolby surround sound that positional accuracy is coloured and there is some unpleasant bass happening as it extends it in the mid-range so I'm happy that Corsair has

developed a good wireless pair that looks good it's comfortable and performs very well at range and audio signature is actually pretty decent but I think they've really kind of failed in the RGB Department not in the implementation but how it effects battery life if he have a gaming headset that can only last for like six hours with the RGB enabled that's really no point in having a wireless pair at all and you know and the disabling RGB definitely gives us more more time but I feel like they if they put a slightly larger battery in there so that you can game at long

hours and not having to recharge this thing every like day in half then it'd have been a lot more appealing for the wireless consumer I also wish that these USB transmitters were labeled so for example if you have two voids and one Pro and one the original you'll be able to see exactly what USB transmitter is related to what because they are not unifying you cannot use them across your devices you have to use them with a particular device they come with which is a little bit unfortunate you know I wish they took the large tech approach and having one USB

and a transmitter that unifies all of their peripherals also the microphone here is actually pretty bad I wish that they have done some more working here so that the microphone was more clear but again at  price point you cannot compare that to other  wired headsets because you know the convenience of having no wire here is that selling point so they're compromising other features like the microphone in here so that you can have no wire or so you kinda have to look at it from both sides and see what you prioritize more having a wire and better microphone or

having a wireless integration that is more convenient but having worser audio and having a worse microphone always stay charged with linky power up power banks houston gorgeous aluminum enclosure with dual USB and type-c port with support for quick charge 3.0 to get two devices recharged fast available up to twenty thousand one hundred million power capacities check them out in the description below and so that's my take for the Corsair void

pros RGB I like the headset but again the battery status and the battery life is the most disappointing on this thing the wireless convenience of course is a huge benefit and you know it's gonna stay at my desk or when I need the audio and have to move around the office if I don't want to use my speakers and also you know for Gaming situation if you're going the fool wrong a wireless gaming setup that perhaps look at these as well .

Corsair Void RGB Elite USB Premium Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound, Carbon review

the USB RGB version first off inside the box along with the voice you get a manual and that's pretty much it so nothing really too exciting there but next let's check out the frame of the voice the top section is made out of plastic with aluminium inside the frame this gives the voice an extremely tough feeling design you're able to adjust each ear cup size with ten levels to make it fit almost any head size the advanced memory foam padding is nice and thick which makes it

extremely comfortable on top of your head the yukos frame feels like a stronger plastic than the headband frame and the ear cups itself feels a bit more lightweight but all the strong plastic does add a bit of white it weighs 770 grams or 1.7 pounds that's more than twice the weight of some of the other popular headphones but this doesn't really bother me because of how

comfortable it is then getting into the ear cups padding which is made from cloth with memory foam inside the foam is also nice and thick so your ears won't scratch against the inside of the ear cups all of this makes a cloth padding extremely comfortable so you don't have to worry about them irritating you after a long session of gaming a nice feature of the voice is that you

are able to fold the ear cups inwards for when you're not using them so they can just rest on top of your neck now looking at the non braided 1.8 meters or 5.9 feet long cable with a big USB connector at the front you do get a few different versions of the voice one being the USB which I appear but you also get the stereo one with jacks and a wireless one as well next up is the microphone so the mic is fixed to the left ear cup and is able to adjust up and down you can

bend it closer or further away from your mouth but not by much the mic is quite far from your mouth but it does pick up your voice quite well sound quality is pretty good it does sound a bit muffled unfortunately but that's expected from any it's microphone the noise cancellation is really the best feature of the mic it really does reduce the noise a lot which makes it super Annie for anybody playing games who have loud family members so I'll give it to Coursera they did

make a decent microphone then at the front of the mic you get two small LEDs they let you know whether your mic is muted or if your eq and dolby is on and if you have the wireless version that also lets you know your battery status you are able to mute the mic instantly by pressing the mute button on the side of the left ear cup you get a quick notification sound when you mute or unmute the mic to know what you did you can also adjust the volume directly on the voice itself at the back of the left ear cup is a volume scroller this is extremely handy for

quick and easy volume adjustments but I did find that a cable was a bit in the way and it struggled sometimes when you press it a bit too hard but these are small things and I did end up using the scroller on the voice instead of my keyboards volume buttons also on the side of the ear cups are the RGB cursor logos which you can go adjust inside the software which we'll get to now so the courser utility engine software that you change the LEDs affixing colors for

the RGB logos on the side of the ear cups you have a few different ones you can choose from like blink beat and rainbow and you have some extra settings for each of the effects you're also able to choose or create EQ presets to Nahant your gaming experience as well as turn Dolby on or off and lastly you can adjust the info max brightness mute intervals mic volume and side tones so the courser utility engine is quite powerful and the best ways for you to experience it it

is to go play around with it now that all of that is done what is the voice actually sound like well basically they sound awesome with the EQ and Dolby enabled you get such a tinhorn sound experience that it just sounds boring without it the 50 millimeter driver combined with the virtual 7.1 and white frequency response gives you such as great sound so the voice gives you a

super comfortable with great sound this is really one hits it you won't be disappointed in buying again that was it for my review of the Corsair voice I hope you guys enjoyed it if you did please like share subscribe and comment like always also if you have suggestions for any other projects you want me to review please let me know and if you are interested in buying you can check out the links in the description I'll link it there for you to go and buy .

so we looked at Corsairs Wireless flagship the virtuoso the other day and part of the reason why I wanted to do that video was so I could help frame this video a little better Corsairs back with a refresh to there void line and while this might be familiar for a lot of you this is the first time I've spent any real time with a void model so we're gonna get into it and see exactly what you get in a wireless headset for just under a hundred bucks you ready let's go today's video is sponsored by hosting if you've ever found yourself needing a webpage to handle merch host

tech to get started fast go over IP your watch your bad C Tech and today we're checking out the void RGB elite wireless gaming headset from Corsair the transparency course they actually did send this one out for review what is you should know by now doesn't affect my review in any way retailing for us the void RGB elite Wireless is a mouthful and according to Coursera sees an update to the drivers the mic and the comfort over the existing void Pro inside the box

you get a manual a USB to microUSB for charging the 2.4 gigahertz wireless dongle in a windscreen for the mic now I'm not sure what this dongle is overcompensating for but it is hilariously large versus the more modern offerings in terms of looks not a lot has changed here this is a design I think almost everyone has seen at one point another it's honestly starting to feel a little dated here the original void came on the scene in late 2015 while we've seen some

revisions over the years the design is pretty much unchanged the glassy exterior sides are kind of a bummer here because while they look fresh right out of the box they will be fingerprint magnets till quality is solid here mostly plastic to conserve weight but metal where they need to be specifically the aluminum alloy hinges and the metal inserts inside the slides where the hinges connect even the plastic on the headband feels pretty legit similar to what you'd see on like a Sennheiser game one minimal Corsair branding on the headband itself and it's got a

pretty huge range of adjustment markings on either side for indicators as well you've heard me say in numerous reviews that I wear a headset at the absolute max adjustment not the case here these things get absolutely huge bring me your Ford Fiesta sized heads and I promise you're gonna be just fine inside the headband padding is covered in a breathable mesh and it's very low density memory foam this is super squishy and really comfortable exterior the ear cuffs is

gloss plastic with the sales logo and RGB and trimmed in matte plastic the Wireless is available in either black or white the right ear cup houses nothing while the left contains the mini USB charging port connection indicator LED and the multifunction control this is going to control volume as well as toggle 7.1 surround on and off and even move between your EQ presets the same stock presets we saw on the virtuoso review and of course you're free to make your own

here as well you can have as many as you want but the hardware will only toggle between your top 5 on the outside of the cup you've also got a power button and a mic mute button which when long press will also toggle between side tone on and off or the ability to hear yourself back in your own headphones ear pads a breathable mesh memory foam as well much more dense than the headband though they breathe easy they're really comfortable they don't seem to

attract everything the wave the Lord those inside the drivers just covered with a thin textured fabric shape of the cuffs is really unique here honestly it works great the top and bottom of my ear make contact with the pads even though you can hardly ever tell but the outside of my ear never makes contact with the driver the ear cuffs swivel 90 degrees it can be worn very comfortably on the shoulders with a weight of around 390 grams they're not super light but they are insanely comfortable this is one of the most comfortable gaming headsets I've ever owned I can game in these for hours at a time no sweat the reason why has to do with what is

like a complete lack of anything resembling clamping force they don't move on me under regular but they kind of give the impression they're just like hanging on your head the headband since really far forward you could shake these off your head if you tried I don't know why you would but you can't compared to the HS 70 these are wildly more comfortable than that headset well the mic here instead of being detachable is the boom style we're used to seeing on the void so it also mutes according to position up is muted and the LED goes red down it's

live in the LED does nothing I did learn that you can deactivate the voice prompts inside IQ but this Michael also has a little tone that goes off when you adjust it the thing about this mic is it has like 10 degrees of rotation from the top before it goes live that means that all the way up here it's still alive and here it's muted so you really have to make sure this thing is all the way up there or rely on the manual mic mute button overall quality this mic is passable for a

gaming mic barely it's not terribly clear it's not really defined kind of makes it sound like I have a head cold as you can see here the levels on this thing are also really low luckily this boom arm is flexible so you can get this a little closer to your mouth to help out with the levels it is omnidirectional this time around so the background noise you're probably hearing quite a bit

of right now or Cherry MX browns if there's one positive thing I can say about this mic is that I'm really getting very little artifacting so yeah it's passable for a gaming mic last year around holiday time I did a little roundup of gaming headsets under the hundred dollar mark the HS 70 actually performed really well audio wise but the mic was definitely an area of opportunity listening back to it now yeah it's more nasally it's definitely brighter and it does have some

compression artifact ting in there but I still think I would take this over the muffled tone of the new void mic so yeah again it's passable avoid mic definitely not my favorite out there getting into sound quality in game it's actually pretty solid soundstage feels good for applo's backside detail is their world feels good the simulated 7.1 on offer here is Dolby headphone it isn't a game changer but it does make the world feel a bit bigger and it certainly didn't hurt

directional awareness even in a modern title like break point the Void pro got knocked a little bit for being bass light these are actually a little false bass heavy you may find you want to tone this down or try the FPS shooter preset if there's something specific you're trying to pick out in game like footsteps one big thing I noticed versus the HS 70 is that there's no background hiss when there's no audio playing these you can barely tell they're even on until something starts playing I also have no issues with range connection or either it performed like a champ now as

far as music listening goes these are gonna be passable for casual listening these can be eq'd and I'll share my preset here because none of the factory presets really deliver the goods for music the trick is to get a decent amount of bass while still having some sort of high-end to help cut through that I don't even think this preset really nails it but it's the best I could get like the bass boost preset doesn't really hit and it sounds muffled on the high end and I'm really not just being a snobby audiophile here yes these are Wireless but they're not as strong as something

like a hyper x cloud tube for a point of reference I mean  Wireless isn't really where you go for music listening so in game solid music listening okay battery life here is like 12 hours with RGB on or 15 with it off if you find yourself in the unfortunate position where you have to charge and play you can't do that but you're gonna have to have your wireless dongle in there and you're gonna have to be connected via a USB at the same time now the upshot is that the cable is plenty long enough for you to do that the downside obviously is it you're gonna be

occupying two ports on your PC it would be a much cleaner solution if like the virtuoso you could just use that single USB cable to charge and play lastly there's no 3.5 millimeter aux port here so while you can't connect to your ps4 wirelessly in stereo mode only you're not gonna be able to connect to something like a Nintendo switch or an Xbox controller or even your phone so the application here is gonna be limited strictly to PC and ps4 of similarly priced options out there I take it over the razor narya central I take it over the HS 70 simply based on comfort the

SteelSeries arced this one gives it a run for its money the sound isn't quite as good as the void but it works with like anything everywhere and it looks pretty subdued I guess that says a lot about the void actually there's not a lot of competition out there for wireless at the mark I don't really think there's anything here to quantify that elite name in the branding but it is extremely comfortable sounds really solid in-game and you have access to pretty much every control you would need right there on your headset if your budget is a sharp hundred

bucks I think it's down to this or the arc this one depending on how you're gonna use your headset if you could stretch another 30 more in the budget cloud flight as an option if your budget is more flexible the virtuoso even in standard edition addresses every opportunity with this headset with the minor step back in terms of onboard tactile controls as always links for everything we talked about today the description just launched today so it's available

everywhere right now any questions hit me in the comments or drop by the discord that's it for this time I bribe Pete thanks so much for watching don't forget to hit that like button hit that sub button and until next time stay up .
