today what do we have what do we have we have turtle beach ear for stealth 600 review that's right that's what we got stealth 600 review now I've been I've been kind of excited about this
the 600 they got the 700 they're coming out and I figured I'd I grabbed the 600 and as soon as I could just to do a review just for you folks and I decided to get the Xbox one version because it's slightly special it's just a little bit special it is natively Wireless with the Xbox through
Windows audio and it does surround and it does all that kind of stuff so I was excited to kind of check that out and see how well it worked and see if it was pain in the ass see how they sounded see how they felt so today I'm gonna talk to you about what we've got here build quality sound quality mic test all that stuff and then I'll give you my conclusions you're darn right I will so let's take a look around I mean they got the xbox green they've got these this is not as rough
and as rough as the previous years in terms of the texture of the fabric but still a fabric that I don't like that much now one thing that they've done is they've taken from the elite pros the sort of little cut out for a glass so if you're a glasses wearer like me it has a little bit of relief in here which is cool which is cool they're comfortable enough they do not isolate your ears very
well they do get kind of warm if it's warm in your room so they are not the most premium of headsets but you want to walk around and see the controls we've got again turtle beats logo this is your microphone it's got two points of stopping so you've got away you've got mute you've got all the way down I've got a mic test coming up and let's put it in here right now hey folks Jason JTL painfully honest tech I am doing a mic test of the Turtle Beach ear for stealth 600 for
the Xbox one testing one two three testing one two three the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plane Moses supposes his toeses are roses but Moses supposes erroneously moses he knowses as moses supposes his toeses to be okay so what do you think mic test power button mode button you get four modes super-hearing mode is I think the one that I like the best I think that's number three your mileage may vary but I played some battlefield 4 and really enjoyed mode 3 in fact mode 3 was the only one that was really loud
enough to play and then in fact if I turn the volume all the way up it would nearly blow out the speaker's like everything else would sound fun but then there would be an explosion and the in the headset with a black black so I had to turn it down a little bit then it was fine nice lively sound with the crisp sort of sound whoring mode of the super-hearing but the other modes I didn't really care for all that much I couldn't tell really a big difference between all of them
they were all we're quieter and they all were a little bit more muffled yeah it wasn't all that great so that's the modes on the bottom here we've got the microUSB for charging and for connecting to the computer so that you can upgrade the firmware and you can also adjust the the loudness of the tones that happen inside the headset and you can also adjust the mic monitoring level so if you're somebody who likes to have some fold back and be able to hear
yourself talking while you're looking at the while you playing a game then you can adjust that I did a little bit and it sounds pretty good here though this is where it gets special if you guys have if your Xbox one players you guys know what this is this is the the pair button so you dude pairing just the same way that you would pair a wireless controller with your Xbox one in fact you can do the same thing with your PC if you have one of these so native wireless on PC and
Xbox one pretty darn cool and it does work took me a little bit but I mean I always seem to have to fiddle around getting those controllers to hook up so anyway we also have here on the back of the earphone the volume up and the chat volume on the back of the headphone now these are just little rotators volume knobs and I'm gonna tell you what the problem is this is where I encountered my first real problem with these guys so you put them on you got your
headphones at the right volume and then like say you're playing on the couch and you turn this way it hits right on it hits these things with almost 9 times out of 10 changes your volume changes your chat level whatever and it's kind of not cool so on the up there's nothing else on the other Year Cup just another turtlebeach logo build quality wise I mean these things are there okay the plastic is not the best feeling plastic in the world but it is strong and you can beat the shit out of them and they're still okay they have a different kind of connection here for
adjustment now usually these are on some kind of hinge and the hinge will break as people know if they use the X the gold Wireless for Sony these are not gonna break however they're also not the easiest or most pleasurable things to adjust in the world so there's that comfort wise like I said and there will lay flat if you like the lay flat it's just better than some it's not choking me so overall plastic build with some low quality but better than before ear pads and
had been I warm for a couple of hours watching movies playing games and there were no pressure points there was no no pain or anything the the volume thing was the thing that bothered me the most so what else do I want to talk about I guess the last thing to really talk about is the sound they sound okay the 500p was terrible it sounded like two trash can lids banging together when you were playing something like battlefield 4 this is definitely not that
these are improved turtle beach's has improved the quality of their stuff the elite pros are really really good these are okay I don't know if they're okay if you think about what's in the price range for Wireless head wireless headphones you've got the gold Wireless you've got some other things out there but also gets you the HyperX cloud too in fact usually they're less than and for my money the HyperX cloud - is still the best headset that you can get one thing that
bums me out about these is that there's no way to connect them why there's no wired connection so if you ran out of battery needed to charge whatever you can't plug this into your controller you just gotta wait for it to charge that would have been a nice feature to see on here but again they do have the 700s coming out soon and I'm gonna grab those as soon as they do come out and I'm gonna check them out like I said before the sound whoring my number
three so when you press this you get a beep you get two beeps you get three beeps you get four beeps I like three beeps the other beeps weren't very good so your mileage may vary overall more impressive than the previous stealth line really impressed with the wireless native mode for PC and Xbox one these will get you by in a pinch and it seems like they will last a long time and not break so I know I gave them about a 7 out of 10 7 out of 10 it's my rating for these guys another you know a few things here and there a little bit better sound on some of the other
presets and it would have been at 8 but it's a 7 have you guys tried these are you looking to try these I'm excited astro also has in there a 20s native wireless on Xbox one coming out as well and so that's going to be exciting so the lower end of gaming headsets is getting better it's still not great but it's getting better internal Beach has a pretty decent offering here with 600 the ear force stuff 600 so let me know what you think down in the comments if you have any questions
if you want to know anything else that I didn't cover in the video I tried to cover everything I always do but if you have any other questions let me know down in the comments.
a brand new headset from turtlebeach now it is a new wireless headset it is priced and this particular model works with the ps4 and your PC they also make an Xbox one model and I'm going to assume that they both sound and work the same but this review I'm going to gear towards the PlayStation model so today we're looking at the turtle beat stealth 600 alright so first things first we're going to jump right into accessories because
normally with the accessories it's pretty minimal and in this particular headset you don't get a wired option so you just get the wireless USB dongle now this again plug straight into your ps4 it does not take the optical cable this time all you got to do is just plug it straight in and then you get the micro USB to USB charger for your headset it so but the headset gets about 15 hours of battery life which is really impressive for this headset but unlike other headsets in the
past you're not going to be able to use this one with your mobile devices as well it's just PC and just your console first thing I want to point them out about the headset would this be in the ps4 you see that it has the blue accents if you have the Xbox one it's going to be green the cool thing about these is they weigh nothing but yet even though they weigh nothing you have very thick soft padding at the top the ear cups are extremely soft these are the same ones that were on the
stealth 400 wireless model that came out three years ago and so I would say that this is the one that's here to replace those as you can see right here on the edge they have the microphone now the microphone is non removable but the way that it folds back and as you can see these stick up pretty far and there's a huge gap here and again the reason for this is VR you know companies are now designing their products to be able to work with VR the microphone you
know once you push it down it turns on once you get it about here it will you'll hear a beeping noise it will mute the microphone now this is where you can hear yourself in the microphone itself but right now let's go ahead and check out the microphone quality on this by doing a mic test right now alright guys so here is a mic test of the turtlebeach stealth 600 I do have the mic monitoring turned up so that I'm allowed to hear myself as I'm talking to you guys now what that does is it keeps me from screaming at you and it gives me better awareness of things that
are going on so if somebody comes up to me and starts to talk to me while I'm playing the mic will pick it up and I'll be able to hear what's going on around me but overall mic quality I think sounds really good for a wireless headset that's under a hundred dollars I found that most wireless headsets seem to lack in mic quality and turtlebeach designed this you can see where it sticks back pretty far it keeps from hearing the pup pup pup in popping sound so it's not right in front of me and picking that up also it keeps from hearing a lot of the esses that's a lot of
times if you're used to gaming you'll hear and other people's microphones but overall for and a wireless headset it's really hard to top the mic that's on the turtle beats out 600 you have your volume control for the game and audio on the top and then your mic control on the bottom I will point this out first before we even get into sound before we get into everything else I do think that for some reason the volume on these could be a lot louder it will get into the sound
overall and and what it all sounds like but the volume I just felt like could be some notches louder and maybe it's just me maybe it'll be fine for just you but I do need to point that out and you can see turtlebeach is right across the top branding is pretty minimal I mean you see the little Turtle Beach logo on each side but it's not obnoxious and again you can see it in the ear cups but again nothing too over-the-top as you can see here there are you know adjustments are right here that go straight up and down that to me is like a very unique look turtlebeach also
made it we're on the middle part of these of the earpads it's really really soft now that's for people who have glasses so that when you're wearing them it's so soft that it's not adding pressure to the side of your head controls are pretty simple on your left hand side which is where your microphone is that is where your controls are and that is where your power button and your mode button now both of these to me I felt like if there were actual physical buttons over on the headphone it would have been better because these are kind of hard when you have
them on your head to be able to feel which one that you're hitting now the modes that you get they have a signature sound mode they have a bass boost mode and they have a bass and treble boost mode but if you just have the power button while you're using it it will turn it on to super human hearing mode now what that does and and people that do a lot of online gaming or even people that do like competitive gaming that amps up your meds and your treble so much where
you can hear footsteps it really is made just to focus on being able to sound whore and hear people in different directions as to where like bass and treble boost mode is more just for like explosions and stuff like that so there are different modes and they do each sound pretty different so they all have their own use I personally like the bass and treble boost mode I left it on that and it sounded great for games and sounded absolutely amazing for music I do want to
point that out because I do listen to music on my PC and these right here just all sound alone I'm telling you you know I was surprised I was really really surprised at how incredible music sounded again I wish it were louder I wish I could just turn it up a lot louder and it's not to say that these aren't loud I just think you know I at least like to have the option if I want to turn it up to a level to give myself a headache I do want to point out that in trouble
and bass boost mode the treble is boosted enough that vocals sound really good a lot of the other sounds and games sound really good but the bass is there to be able to add some excitement some punch into the sound so that explosions sound like they're happening right there with you you're starting to feel a little more that's in the game that you don't with most gaming headsets that have a flat sound signature or the gaming headsets that have bass boosted
signatures seem to lack everything else so Turtle Beach has a really good balanced blend so that if you want treble boost you can also boost your bass and then it gives you a more balanced sound but overall comfort these are pretty breathable you can leave them on from long periods of time and it doesn't get hot it doesn't get warm so as you can see overall package was build quality you do want anything that's all plastic and anything especially like this is straight up and down that I think like if you have a bigger head you might want to be a little concerned just
be a little careful but you are talking about a wireless headset battery life is incredible on these sound although I wish volume is louder I felt like is really incredible with games really amazing even better with music but again it has a virtual surround feel so it gives you really good spatial awareness in games which is what you want and on a wireless set it's going to be hard to top or at least find better alternatives that are wireless so Turtle Beach I think did an
incredible job with this I don't you know there was a few little changes that I would have done personally but nothing drastic .
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset review
this is the stealth 600 by turtlebeach it's a gaming headset that was released recently alongside its bigger brother the stealth 700 physically the headsets are very similar they have the same body the same Wireless integration and the same 50 millimeter drivers however the 700 has a few extra features such as Bluetooth connectivity so you can take phone calls or listen to music a mobile app to change headset settings dynamic chat boost active noise cancellation leather accents instead of this mesh fabric and the 700 is a little bit more expensive than the reviewsample I have here the stealth 600 retails while the stealth 700 is more expensive at 149 this is of course the Xbox version there is of course a PlayStation version which works with PlayStation 4 PlayStation 4 Pro and PC right out of the box it has a little dongle that comes with it the Xbox version is a little bit different it only works with Xbox it can work with PC but you have to buy a separate dongle for that to work the look and feel is basically what we've
come to expect from turtlebeach it's made up of glossy and black plastics with green accents on the Xbox version and blue accents on the PlayStation version it most certainly has the gamer aesthetic going on however it's definitely less obnoxious than a lot of other gaming headsets out there I'll put it to you this way you can definitely sit around listening to music without looking ridiculous which can't be said for most gaming headsets out there there's also lots of cushion all over the headset any part of the headset that touches your head has basically an inch or more of
really plush cushion again this is the mesh version I imagine the leather version is equally comfortable but I have no problem wearing this for two three hours at a time with no pain around my ears it's a completely over the ear design you can adjust the overall size of the headset for those with smaller heads and those with very very large heads and also the ear cups tilt in and out to better augment the side of the wearer's head and another thing that I really like is the completely fold flat design for easy storage or transportation but I mentioned at the
beginning this video that this headset has a feature the I believe to be the next step in the evolution of wireless console headsets what could that feature possibly be it's not the fact that it's wireless but it's how it's wireless there are no dongles there are no wires there are no USB receivers this is the simplest connection process I've ever encountered with a headset it connects to your console much the same way a new controller would you simply turn it on and press a
little button on the side to begin to search for a console and then you likewise press the search button on the side of the Xbox they find each other and that's it that's really it it really does function just like a controller you can sync it to an Xbox you can sync it to another Xbox you don't need to bring any dongles or receivers with you it can even be used to turn on the console again just like a controller would you simply turn on the headset then it's gonna turn it on it
also features surround sound gaming which has become a staple in the headset marketplace there are two options for virtual surround sound that the headset supports the first one is already on your console it's called Windows sonic surround sound and all you need to do to access that is go into your console settings go down to the audio settings and under headset audio you will find the ability to change it from stereo to Windows Sonic's round but there you
will also find an option for Dolby Atmos now I've used both I'm currently using a 30-day free trial for Dolby Atmos and I can definitely say with a surety that the Dolby version sounds much more immersive than the Windows version however it does cost money it typically costs right now at the time of recording it's on sale for 20% off I don't hope it's worth as far as I know it's a flat rate it's not like a monthly subscription thing and in likewise carries over to your PC so if you listen to audio through your PC on a virtual surround sound headset
you can likewise use Dolby Atmos on there as well you only have to buy it once and you can use it on both platforms for those of you out there like me who often wear glasses you'll definitely appreciate this next feature it has a very glasses friendly design in that the cushion on the lower and upper part of this pad harder material it's more dense but this space in between is very soft and is not going to press your the arm of your glasses up against your head as you can see it creates kind of a channel for the arm of your glasses to go through it also comes with four pre-
loaded audio presets which are signature sound which is the intended sound that the engineers behind the headset intended for that had said the type of sound signature they were going for then there's a bass boost if you want to listen to music or you want a more boomy cinematic experience then there's a bass and treble boost which is just much punch here however I notice that high volumes if you have the bass and treble boost on you definitely get a crackling sound
if you have the volume maxed out and then finally the fourth one is a voice boost which if anything just pushes down the bass and treble a 15 hour battery life is what turtlebeach says you can expect from this headset and from my testing I didn't quite get it to last that long but it did last well over 10 hours without needing a recharge these tell 700 which is the more expensive version is only rated at 10 hours of battery life and I think that's because it has that added Bluetooth functionality and unfortunately you cannot listen to it and charge it at the
same time this is one way that it departs a little bit from a controller of course if you have a rechargeable controller you can simply plug in the controller into your xbox and continue using it as a wired controller while it charges that functionality is not present here even if it was the court comes with is way too short it's only about two and a half three feet long and I don't think anyone says that close to their console and then finally it has independent chat and game
volume knobs which are definitely useful you don't need a little dongle sticking out at the bottom of your controller to control that or have to open the Xbox settings to mess with it you can simply do it here on the side of the controller and you get used to where those are pretty quickly let's talk about my experience well in my experience the stereo sound that is playing through the headset right out of the box is pretty unimpressive I would most definitely
recommend that you turn on either the Windows sonic surround sound or splurge a little bit and get the Dolby at most version it also doesn't get super loud and again if you have it on that really Bumi setting and you have the volume back style that's going to crackle at really loud areas so you don't have to keep that in mind I would have appreciated it being a little bit louder I understand it's wireless so they're probably trying to conserve battery life by not letting it get
too loud but for me personally I pretty much had it maxed out the entire time and if you have a lot of exterior noises you may want to spend the little bit of extra money on the stealth 700 as opposed to the 600 which I have here the mesh and the overall design of the headset doesn't do a really great job of canceling out background noise the stealth 700 has active noise cancellation and the 700 has leather which I can only imagine would do a better job of blocking out noise
anyway turtlebeach is known for putting pretty decent microphones on even their budget-friendly devices and this microphone here is no exception well it doesn't have the active noise cancelling that stealth 700 us it still does a pretty decent job of isolating my voice I have a mini-fridge running over here and my computer's running right now so there's plenty of noise and it does a pretty decent job of filtering that out and of course it implements this functionality that
we've seen on other headsets where to mute the microphone you simply tilt it of course you bring it back down to unmute but let's get to the elephant in the room and that is the reported connectivity issues many users have experienced you're definitely going to encounter multiple reviews with users saying they experienced connectivity loss this is definitely a known issue and turtlebeach has been addressing it but again I can only go off of my experience and my experience at least early on reflected a lot of these claims every minute or so the sound would
cut out for two to three seconds which doesn't sound like a big deal but when it happens so consistently and then so repeatedly it definitely gets really annoying and sometimes it would disconnect for so long that would actually completely disconnect from the console and I couldn't just turn it back on I'd have to resync it so I reached out to my media relations contacted turtlebeach who also got me in correspondence with one of their engineers and they
suggested several troubleshooting steps that after I took those steps the headset then began to work pretty much flawlessly I was also able to connect the headset to my PC and there I had basically a problem-free experience I listened to some music played some Wolfenstein the new Colossus and watch some YouTube videos so here are some troubleshooting steps that they shared with me if you have one of these headsets and you are currently experiencing the issues
that I experienced earlier on first the most important thing is to update your firmware headsets going forward are already going to come with the most recent firmware that's functioning however if you bought one that came out of the factory several weeks ago it's obviously not going to be preloaded with that firmware update so you need to make sure you update that and they're going to continue pushing out those updates as much as they're required you also may
want to look and updating your console now the Xbox ones by default are going to update their operating system automatically so you may want to go into the system settings and make sure that your console is set to automatic updates and if not that you're going in there manually on a regular basis to update your console then after that you may want to hard reset your console you do that by holding down the power button for several seconds of course I feel a need to mention this do not do this when your console is reading or writing information because this
could potentially corrupt your hard drive also make sure that your headset is completely charged I for one noticed that it seemed to have an easier time staying connected when it was fully charged when it started to die that's when I noticed a more frequent disconnect from the console and then finally I didn't have to do this but I've seen several users out there mention this you may want to move your wireless router because some people have reported that the
wireless router is interfering with the signal now I can't substantiate these claims because I haven't tested it but I do know that enough people out there have mentioned it that I feel it's worthwhile mentioning here in conclusion if you're someone who purchased the stealth 600 or 700 for the Xbox earlier on chances are you likely experienced some of these issues however according to turtlebeach representatives in my own independent testing the connectivity issues
appear to be largely resolved as with any new technology there's bound to be some growing pains but when it works it's almost magic when I turn on the headset for the first time and press the connect button on the side of the headset and saw it instantly connect to my console I had this moment of clarity where I realized that's how this is supposed to work all headsets should do this it felt so natural it immediately made dongles receivers and wires just seem so obsolete I guarantee you from this point forward you'll start to see more natural compatibility
between consoles and headsets the stealth 6r comes in usa which places it in an extremely saturated part of the market there are a lot of really good options out there for that price the stealth suit on it isn't alone there however where it is alone is this new wireless technology and if you want to experience it for yourself but I definitely recommend picking one up.
I'm reviewing two headsets from turtle beach in the past they sent me the XO threes which I highly recommended for your xbox there's also a version for the PlayStation 4 if you want to know more about that a link in the underbar to this review now what did they send me yesterday I use these for the last like 12 hours straight on my xbox one X because I have a review coming out for that you probably have seen it I'll link in the underbar to that probably
as well but they sent over the ear Force Recon camo headset which is a lot like the XO 3 headset the only difference between these two headsets is not the quality of the sound that comes out of them it's the box itself this one says surround sound ready on the XO I'm looking at this one doesn't say anything about that however a lot of these systems obviously have virtual surround sound built in now and when you plug a headset in that's essentially what its going to go over
into so this isn't a surround sound headset but you can use the virtual surround sound that might be built into your PC or through some of the console apps that are out there now I know that Adobe did release one for Xbox one X that allows you to get a surround sound vibe through a headset so these are identical almost identical in design and I have them right here the cool thing about these is definitely the camo style to them they're very comfortable they
have the same mic as the x3 it is detachable so if you want to go out into the public and not look like you're losing your mind talking to people on the bus hey then you can take that off that's that's kind of important for certain people out there because these I do recommend these I mean they're really really really good in terms of gaming in terms of audio for watching films and stuff there are definitely better headsets out there but these are gaming
heads so they work with what they're supposed to do the audio through the microphone is really good very clear I do use this for Skype as well I use it on my Mac for when I'm talking on Facebook audio all of those things I even use it on my iPhone when I'm talking through there as well so these I do recommend as for the style of this I I can't knock it but I I mean I honestly would never go out there and buy something that has this style on it because I I'm I don't know
I I prefer like a nice black opposed to the active camo but I'm not knocking anybody that wants to go out there and purchase these because a lot of people are into the military and that sort of thing so I obviously have a lot of respect for them now the headset that they sent over that I'm most excited about is the stealth 600 this is designed for Xbox because it has a lot of features that work with Xbox and Xbox only it only will work with your Xbox when you open
the box for the 600 model here you'll be presented with the headset itself and a cable that's about two feet for charging now yeah great that's that's not the important part the cable does its job it charges the headset what's really amazing about this headset is this is the first one to have the same technology as the Xbox one controllers built into it so you do not need any USB dongle to plug into your system anymore don't have to worry about losing that you don't have
to worry about connection issues I use this thing for six seven hours straight yesterday playing on my xbox one X and it really really really was impressive to me it's works with the same technology as the controller so pairing this headset to my xbox one X was as simple as pushing a button here for three seconds and pushing a button on the Xbox and that was it now when I turn my xbox on I hit the power on this and it connects almost instantly right to the
system and you're gaming right away another cool aspect to this that the other headsets do not have is something that a lot of people might be kind of looking for in a headset but not sure that it was available this is glasses friendly so how this works is on the typical headset you have phone that's built into the earpiece and the level of density stays the same throughout it to have a comfortable feeling to it on this one however it actually goes down and divots down you have
the usual foam density around the whole thing until you get to the section where your glasses would be sitting it actually kind of is softer in that area and I thought that's such a good idea so when I have the headset on my glasses kind of just get sucked into it and it just was like whoa that is a big difference I know a lot of people out there have issues with having glasses on and getting headaches from playing with the headset so that solves that issue I'll say it is a very very
very extremely comfortable headset the next thing that I love about this headset is a 15 hour battery life built into it so once it's fully charged you're gonna get 15 hours out of it without having to worry about plugging it in that really is something special for this headset the flip up microphone on the side is another cool aspect of the headset that I really really thought was cool you put that set on and when you're gaming obviously you bring it down it has 2 clickable you
know sort of sections here and once it's down you're you're good to go the mic is on but what's cool about the set set is when you actually click it back into the start position here it mutes the microphone for you like literally dead you hear a beep and it turns it right off so this activates it this turns it off that's a really cool feature especially if you have an annoying person behind you pissing you off you can just gaming mother and then put it back down and you're good to go
the next thing that I think is really cool he is that Windows introduce their own sort of surround sound system for headsets built into the Xbox one X and Xbox one s how this works is you have to go into the settings to actually enable it for headsets that can use it now it's called windows sonic surround sound what this does essentially is deliver surround sound to the attached headset so when I plug this in I had to go in my settings and switch it to Windows
sonic then you hear a major difference because now it's actually outputting it to your headphones in a surround sound this is spectacular for games like Forza destiny to all of those games that you really have to pay attention to the sound if a car is coming up on your left behind you you want to know that it's there is it the most ridiculous over-the-top mind-blowing surround sound no but it does the job in terms of gaming now for people that are obsessed with surround sound they're gonna go out there and get something a little bit more serious than this
but for you're getting a really ridiculous package here it also includes something called super human hearing mode which some people might consider to be cheating and gaming but I really don't what this does is doesn't really change the audio presets like boost the bass or treble what it actually does is takes the sound of footsteps in surround sound so let's say I'm playing destiny - you simply hold the power button and it'll amplify the sounds of the footsteps or certain
aspects in the environment that will let you hear things coming at you a lot sooner than when it's in normal sound mode normal surround sound mode so when you're playing call of duty online and you really want to know when somebody's coming around a corner from a distance in surround sound you activate the superhuman human hearing mode oh god so many words and it lets you hear things that are usually covered in the full mix of the audio so that's
something cool for a lot of people out there I personally think it's good for like the pro gamers out there but is it kind of a gimmick I wouldn't say it was a gimmick I'd say it definitely does what it says it would do on the box but it's still gonna come down to how well you react to those situations just because you can hear somebody coming doesn't mean it's gonna make you a better gamer it just means you heard them maybe a little bit sooner than usual last but not least it has an audio preset built into it for different presets such as boost on the base or the treble or
just the voice if you just want better clear audio on the voice only and not worry about the game you can do that as well let's get into the pros and cons of this headset first of all I'll go with the cons the only real con then I kind of see with this headset is that the audio volume and the microphone volume on the side of it are still on a spin dial which is very old technology and I'm kind of worried after a while you're gonna get that kind of that kind of like popping sound that comes through that usually because of dust sitting within the spin wheel now is that really
a super- no but I mean could they have put buttons on the side of the thing to go up and down in the volume yeah maybe they could have put a rocker could have could have been a little bit better in terms of that the other aspect that I'm not a huge fan of is the fact that when you're kind of fooling around the superhuman hearing aspect of this it is like a lot louder so if you have the volume already at max which I think a lot of people might do when they're playing call
of duty and you switch over to the superhuman hearing mode it sometimes is like boom in your ear now is that a negative not really but I just wanted to bring it up that it was like oh my god turn it down right away and you know unless you're used to the headset you're kind of like fiddling for where everything is but once you understand where it is you'll figure it out the positives well there's a lot of them it's very comfortable the glasses friendly aspect of the
earpiece here is a very big plus for me the fact that it connects to my xbox one X and Xbox one within seconds is a huge plus that is amazing the surround sound again I'll say this for you're not gonna get anything else as good as this it really does an amazing job of delivering a you know a surround sound that a lot of people might have never heard they might have only a stereo sound headset and when we're gaming on Xbox 1x you want something like this you
definitely want to experience the game with surround sound the audio presets that are also built into the headset are cool but I mean I want the bass all the way up if I'm playing like call of duty or anything like that anyway so I honestly just put that on to the highest setting now the most important aspect of this is the sound quality through the voice chat and obviously the headphones themselves honestly I keep saying honestly because I like to be honest on the show
for these are spectacular I could not recommend them anymore for anybody out there that's picking up Xbox 1s or X it works flawlessly through both of them and I highly highly recommend at least looking into these if you want a wireless headset because the other wireless headsets involve the USB dongle and like I said this technology is brand-new in this headset and it's not in any other one now there is another version of the stealth that's even better than this
one that includes bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices and a few other things but I'm not reviewing that here I'm just letting you know if you want to go even above the 600 range they do have those so thank you so much to turtlebeach for sending over the review units for these things I am being a hundred percent honest here these are the headsets that I'll be using on my
PlayStation 4 with the sounds funny but I do use the XO 3 on there because it can plug into anything but for Xbox one s and X highly recommend means highly highly recommend them thank you so much for tuning in and I'll see you in the next review.
