now if you'd have said to someone ten years ago that you were buying an Intel Celeron processor they probably would have looked at you and wondered why on earth you are doing that thankfully these days Intel have more than made up for their Celeron name and their new skylake Celeron processors are really something great for a budget gaming PC in this one I'm going to be reviewing the G 3900 and seeing how well it performs now the G 3900 is clocked at
2.8 gigahertz and it's a dual-core CPU unfortunately it can't really be overclocked unless you're using it with a z170 motherboard and an old BIOS now I'm going to be leaving the overclocking segment out of this review because I feel that if you're buying this processor you're not going to be buying a very expensive motherboard to go with it as like I say it's considered a budget component some of you may also be thinking well the Pentium G 4400 is only a little bit more
expensive and I'll probably get better gaming performance out of it now to be honest guys that is 100% true you're likely to see a 5 to 10 frames per second difference between this Celeron and the Pentium that being in the Pentiums favor aside from that I'll have seen this processor gain some very nice reviews online recently and I thought that as some of you are probably going to be purchasing this it was well worth the review so let's get into some gameplay performance tests now as you can see from those tests the games do run pretty smoothly and
I'm overall happy with the performance I tested them in 1080p 900 P and 720p as you saw and I never really had a problem with any games hiccuping or lagging too much especially when I turn the settings down a little bit I was using the gtx 750ti as I do with most budget processes and like I say I'm generally happy with the outcome of those tests now when it comes to general performance I was more than happy when doing a little bit of video editing this exact video was
actually edited using this CPU and I never really experienced any slowdown when opening multiple tabs or flicking between programs in Windows and the CPU stayed fairly cool and quiet throughout something which is always a bonus now let's get back to the elephant in the room and that is the G 4400 now whilst I say I'm very happy with the performance of this processor the G 4400 is only about more expensive and I just can't help but feel that you're better off going with that even if you're on quite the tight budget that
really will make all the difference and I really do believe you should go with that over this processor however if you've already purchased this Celeron all you want to save that extra little bit of money then don't worry guys the Celeron is still a great gaming CPU and an all-round performer too and you won't let you down especially when it comes to everyday tasks so guys I don't want to make this review too long I've said all I can about this processor it's a really nice
budget buy if you're thinking about going out and getting one please consider the G 4400 but like I say if you've already bought this or you want a nice little setup that saves you that extra little bit of money by all means go with this Celeron .
