Kable mod power cord power supply direct replacement kits are now available for coolermaster v-series power supplies hey guys it's TTL back another rush kit video for you and today we're going to be taking a look at the Crucial Ballistix ddr4 where they call this sport kits but here's the packaging that they came out of and it's a 16 gigabyte kit 2 x 8 gigabyte 2400 megahertz and it's 1.2 volts now I've already taken them out of the packaging I'm going to

move this other one out the way so that the focus in doesn't get confused at any point but they've got this lovely white and grey digital camo down the sides we spin them over we can see that we've got the label with some information on that side and then on this side we can see that the timings are 16 16 16 39 at 1.2 volts so that's your timings but most important things to point out is these are the first white ddr4 kits that I've seen released they're available at overclockers this kit that I've got is 82 pounds for the 16 gigabyte and that's 8 gigabyte x 2 but I'll put the

link underneath for you to be able to have a look at them and overclockers because they've got other kits with their 4 dims it for items sake if you wanted to fill all your slots up or maybe possibly you've got an X 99 rig that you were considering these for now they're not the fastest ddr4 kits available to the point where we can obviously get ddr3 kits like this but you know as far as ddr4 goes the the price is still pretty competitive but also we've there 8 gigabyte sticks

they're white and they are the first white ones that I've seen and I'm actually going to be using these in my said 170 deluxe oh look now this is going to be the basis of my server build it was called wd-40 and previously it was on said 97 we're now going to be going on to Zedd 170 this is an i3 6300 T in here as well now we are talking about the memory but the whole point was to show it to you in the z170 deluxe like I said it's the first of the white DRAM sticks that I've seen

if you have a look that the PCB is white as well cephus is an off-white compared to the heatsink but nevertheless it does look the part in the DLX as I like to call it it's going to look the part obviously we're going to be hanging a huge well not huge we're going to be hanging a red card off of this for the main without the video so there's your Crucial Ballistix white so if you're thinking about doing a white themed build or you need some white accent at the moment the ballistics are the ones that you want to be getting well it's the only choice that you've got at the

moment we honestly don't know whether we're going to be seeing any other colors either from other manufacturers so it might be the only chance that you get anyway let me know what you think guys this was literally just a quick shower off because the the reason why these have been sent was to go in the server anyway but I just wanted to make a quick video for any of you out

there that are actually interested in possibly buying these and seeing what they look like then there we go so not going to take up any more of your time I'm going to love you I'm going to leave you TTL out Kable mod power cord power supply direct replacement kits are now available for Coolermaster v-series power supplies

the ballistics ports LT memory kits are available in three different colors red white and gunmetal gray in this review we have a 16 gigabyte kit of memory that features the gunmetal gray color scheme in addition this color also runs at a steady 3,000 megahertz out-of-the-box so it is ideal for risin and tradeable platforms that will greatly benefit from higher memory frequencies by default from the factory this kit uses the timings 16 18 18 and 48 with a voltage of 1.3 5 volts a decent set of timings for 3,000 hertz right from the start sure lower timings

could have been used however that will increase the overall price of the kit because you need chips that will actually be stable at 3000 Hertz with lower timings going back to the design of this kit the heat sinks are made from a metal and feature a linear brush texture that will not easily stain that's great the middle of the RAM sticks is covered by a long ribbon camouflage

sticker here we can also see the glorious ballistic logo there are also chrome inserts present on both lower edges and side edges of the heatsink the top of the heat sink features angular vent gaps that allow for some air to reach the top side of the memory chips but their main purpose is the overall style of the heatsink however the important feature of this sport LTS heatsink is the height or lack of to be specific these heat sinks barely rise above the height of the PCB this

means that the sport LT kits will be compatible with most if not all CPU coolers available on the market right now having no interference with the fans thanks to the low height of the heat sinks now we can move on with the performance and first let's see the overclocking potential of these micron chips without changing the timings or the voltage this kid was able to o'clock to

over 3200 megahertz of course 200 megahertz is not a lot in the grand scheme of things however this kid was completely stable throughout the whole testing process and all this was achieved by only changing the frequency and nothing else for a 200 megahertz overclock some kids will require a looser timings and a higher voltage to even boot 200 and Hertz or not let's see the actual performance gains by overclocking this kit of memory starting with the shadow of the

Tomb Raider and using the in-game benchmark we can see that the overall gain of eight frames per second is achieved of course there are multiple factors that count when we speak about game performance but nevertheless there is an increase in performance while overclocking in terms of synthetic benchmarks the Ida 64 memory tests provide a better look at the overall increase in performance the approximate increase is 9% for both read write and copy sections

of this benchmark but keep in mind that these results will vary across the board text to the differences in the quality of the chips and the rest of the components you use the potential for overclocking is quite good I was able to lower the timings while maintaining the factory 3000 megahertz frequency with ease this is altered in more performance gained especially in synthetic benchmarks however as always each platform and each kit of memory will perform

slightly different due to the quality of the internal components this kit is ideal for a budget oriented riser platform thanks to its competitive price and performance out of the box the design and multiple color variations add more value to the overall package as these kids are easier to match to the color scheme of the rest of the components in a system and what ballistics did with the spot Elte series was to also offer a

completely white kit of memory at an affordable price I emerged in this as the white PCB and all-white components were usually found on limited edition and high-end products from various manufacturers usually found at a high price the ballistics sport LT is a very good memory kit that is available in a wide range of colors capacities and frequencies all this paired with a good overclocking potential and tweaking of the timings to increase the performance even more these features are integrated in what is essentially an entry-level racket that is devoid of any RGB integration or design elements that are meant to increase the price

guys I think this has happened before but I'm doing it again I have a product that doesn't have RGB lighting I mean what am I doing here I don't know how long you guys are gonna keep putting up with me like this okay quick closer look at these guys and we can pretty quickly see that there's a not lot not a lot going on here it's a very simplistic design of course we've got a

nice aluminum heat spreader here we have just some tiny accents of some yellow and we have some tiny accents of some camouflage and of course that is courtesy of partnering with Asus tough branding so it'll match well with the tough reigning motherboards and so once we get to the flipside here and kind of got the same situation going on just you know got a little bit of some stickers here for some just you know you got your timings you got some codes and stuff

but overall it's just a very very minimalistic design and personally I think ballistics made an excellent choice here the tough branding from Asus while they do have some RGB lighting and a little bit of flair it tends to be a pretty straightforward design therefore I feel like what ballistics is doing is matching up well for what those kind of builders are gonna want I wouldn't know for sure but it's just my guess now performance that's the other thing that these guys are going to matter a lot on if we're gonna be matching up with a system we're gonna want top

tiered performance and these guys performed great so of course my real curiosity was hey how well he's going to measure up compared to the tactical tracer RGB because if you've seen that review I really liked it and these guys performed excellent a 264 we had excellent performance numbers for the timings and speeds overclocking again I almost got a thousand megahertz in fact the reason why I didn't quite get a thousand megahertz this time is I switched to a new

board and I have an X 470 motherboard instead of an X 370 it did hamper my ability to get to higher frequencies but my overclocked numbers even show that since they weren't the same testbench my actual overclocked numbers on the performance were a little better even though the frequency was a little lower so it tells me that the x4 70 motherboard that I got from gigabyte is doing a little better on stabilizing the frequencies which is definitely a good thing

yeah 8a 64 did good of course then I took a look at Cinebench just to see and once again we see very little difference memory has very little - almost none impact on the rendering benchmark I checked out a gaming with far cry 5 and crossfire even and even with that extra bit of GPU load and and anti-aliasing and all that fun stuff very little improvement on the performance but what did find my memory benchmark that showcases what extra memory or extra speed does and that was win rare file compression and extracting the extra memory or extra speeds really

showed some nice improvements I mean we were showing close to 20% improvement with overclocking on win rare benchmark that was pretty impressive the only complaint that I really have on a performance level is as ballistics did not include a temperature monitor in this kit I threw up mod checked it didn't didn't have it went to HW info no temperature sensors I was a little bummed about that because I really liked the temperature sensors because if my

temperatures are low enough then I'll keep pushing voltages and push higher frequencies but because I didn't have a temperature sensor I maxed out at one point four volts and didn't go any higher and saw where my overclock would go from there getting a max overclock of 30 over 30 500 megahertz with that kind of voltage so it was phenomenal and what was also

impressive is even with the full four sticks I still came just a notch below that in the frequency at over 3400 megahertz excellent overclocking excellent performance numbers let's go ahead look at some pricing and wrap this baby up there is a slight problem the ballistics port 80 memory kit and it's kind of the same problem we ran into last time with the tactical tracer RGB it's expensive I mean for this sorry 2 gig kit right now you're looking at almost on

Newegg now Ram has gotten pricey and it's starting to slowly come back down but it's still staying pretty high up there but even compared to other kits that are closer to this is a little bit up there and you can look at castle agencies you can look at timings you can look at voltage and you know they're not standing out in any particular way and and that's kind of the only knock against that because otherwise we are looking at a phenomenally performing

product I mean once again they knock overclocking out of the park so it's not a one-time fluke deal the tactical trace our RGB overclocked well this stuff overclocked phenomenally can't be more impressed with that but the biggest thing is though if you want RGB lighting and temperature monitoring you can actually get the tactical tracer for less than this kit right now so I feel like while price might hold it back a little bit that's just kind of a ballistics

thing that's happening and because they overclock so well that might be the reason for the higher price I'd have to do more comparison with other kits to know for sure I do really love these kits so I could definitely recommend that if you want something it doesn't have RGB you

like the looks and you're like hey I want some overclocking or I just want really high-quality go first kit of ballistics I think you're gonna be pleased all right guys well I hope you liked this review I'm gonna actually go ahead and do my quick easy overclocking guide so I will add that over to the end of this review have a card have a kind of an end screen thing going for guys you can check that out I will catch you later
