I've always been a fan of Razer's MMO-focused Naga mice, even though I've never really used them much after reviewing them. That might change with the Razer Naga Trinity. a mouse that's just as good for World of Warcraft diehards as it is for people looking for everyday productivity. Before we get into the Naga Trinity review we’ve included links in the description to various pricing options for the mouse, so make sure you check those out. The only major
problem with the Razer Naga was the sheer number of buttons. Having seven thumb buttons could be useful in Final Fantasy XIV, sure, but it wasn't so great for The Witcher 3 or Google Chrome, for that matter. The Naga Trinity solves this problem neatly by offering three distinct side panels: the traditional 12-button layout, the circular hex layout and a simple two-button layout, similar to what you'd find on Razer's popular DeathAdder. Essentially, Razer is selling
you three high-end gaming mice for the price of one. The Naga isn't cheap, but it justifies its high price with tremendous customizability and with part-swapping that couldn't be easier or more intuitive. If you play MMOs but still need a more traditional mouse for FPS, RTS, RPGs or simply getting work done, the Naga is simply the best mouse for the job. It's hard to ignore the religious implications in the Naga Trinity's name since it, too, comprises three distinct
entities in one body. You can swap out the thumb panel at will, thanks to some well-placed and fairly powerful magnets. It takes a minimum of force to pop off the panel, but unless you specifically try to remove it or accidentally drop the mouse, the Naga's left side isn't going anywhere. The 12-button layout is the most straightforward of the three; the hex layout has seven buttons surrounding a central, ridged thumb rest; the simple layout has two curved
buttons and a large, ridged thumb rest underneath them. All three panels are easy and comfortable to hold, although you've seen them before on other Razer mice. You can even use the Naga Trinity without a side panel although you probably shouldn't, because you'll just be resting your thumb on exposed metal. The rest of the mouse resembles previous Naga designs. It's a large, wide mouse with a high profile and a rest for the fourth finger. There's a left button, a right button and a scroll wheel that clicks three ways with two DPI sensitivity-adjustment
buttons right beneath that wheel. If you prefer to keep your mouse small and sleek, the Naga probably isn't for you, but if you want as many buttons as possible at the tip of your thumb, the size is a fair trade-off. The most important and most distinctive feature of the Naga Trinity comes in its swappable side panels. However, there's not that much to actually write about them. They simply work beautifully, successfully turning the Naga from a genre-specific one-hit wonder into a versatile powerhouse. Beyond that, the Naga Trinity works with the Razer
Synapse 3 software, which is still in beta, but looking better all the time. With the software, you can reprogram buttons, create profiles for individual games, change the RGB lighting, adjust the DPI between 100 and 16,000 and tinker with a bunch of other technical settings. The best word for the Naga Trinity's interface in Synapse is "polished." You can swap out the side panels at any time not just between games and the software will instantly recognize which panel is attached. You can reprogram buttons in either list or pictorial form, and open up a set of
"Hypershift" buttons to completely change the key map when you hold down a button of your choice. You can also program macros, which is, of course, very useful when dealing with MMOs. There's one other small feature in the Synapse software, which I never expected to see. But it makes so much sense, I cannot believe I've never seen it before. In the Performance tab, there's a link to open the Mouse Properties menu in Windows. Considering just how much you
can customize your mouse with the default Windows options, I'm shocked that Razer appears to be the first company to ever think of integrating this functionality into its own software. The most innovative features are always the ones you didn't know you needed until you see them. I used the Naga Trinity with World of Warcraft and had excellent results. That's not a surprise, since the last two Nagas were ideal for MMOs as well. Playing as a Pandaren Rogue, it was
spectacularly simple to use all of my special abilities, especially once I memorized where each of the 12 buttons sat on the Naga Trinity's side panel. I didn't get far enough in the game to make macros a necessity, but it was nice to know I had that option as well as the Hypershift, for an alternate skill set. What surprised me more was just how good the Naga Trinity was at everything else. I used the hex pad for StarCraft: Remastered and SpellForce III, controlling
small groups of units with ease. For Life Is Strange, I popped the two-button layout on and just about forgot it was there. The mouse's large, comfortable design helped me get my work done for almost a week while I was away from the office. The only caveat here is that while you can do a lot to change the mouse's extra buttons, you can't do anything to change its overall profile. As such, if you want a sleek, streamlined mouse primarily for FPS or MOBA play, the Naga Trinity still isn't the right choice for you. So that sums up our Razer Naga Trinity review.
unboxing I'm on a roll as of late kind of excited about that we recently did the SteelSeries rival 310 as well as a Roccat Kone emo and now we've got the new Razer Naga Trinity this one I have actually been waiting a long time for since raids are announced it I'm not the biggest razor fan but I love the Naga when I was getting into Wow and now that I'm back into it this is perfect timing especially with the new features this is the same Naga we've grown to love
whether you were into MOBAs or you're in tech memos or just any game in general with the programmable buttons whether it be the circular or the number pad it is also the same 5th generation optical sensor up to 16,000 dpi I want to meet the person that goes up that high-end dpi but that is an option and of course the 19 programmable buttons the biggest thing is the three interchangeable side plates so now you are completely customize is to your liking for
whatever game you're playing so enough chatter let's let's crack this open guys and as you can see or I already ripped the box I'm just full of freaking excitement alright so we're gonna pull this out razors known for their presentation I'll leave that right there put the dog sir and this is what you're greeted to when you open the box it is just gonna be the mouse with the two additional place ones already installed of course you have your brochure making you feel all
warm and cozy inside with joining the cult of radar awfully scary if he asked me but with my stickers that's what I want you know we all love our stickers oh there they are the reason why i buy a razer i enough for the jokes I'm gonna dull I know how to do this thank you all right so once we rustle that out or pull the cord out nothing left inside here nothing inside the box let's
go back to the side and here is our braided cable which I love that's something that a razor quality has always been really high on is the actual cable it's not anything too thick like Logitech's and it's not anything too cheap where you're gonna have to deal with a plastic or rubber coating I do like this especially because DeathAdder that I used for a long time it never actually frayed when I didn't have a bungee so that's super super nicer than the continue on with that tradition pull this off so here is the standardized side of a mouse you've got your grip
as well as your two side buttons here it's your standard and matte black plastic and then if you want to I mean this is designed for MOBAs but honestly you can use it for anything so I mean I actually want to try this with pub G I think this might work out really well and of course on the back here you're gonna see it is magnetized backing you've got two magnets here and then the circuitry that's gonna connect everything that don't and then here is the standard MMO style again this is something that you can literally use it for any game but with so many spell-casting
than what not with an MMO it's a good idea to have something like that so you're not burning out your keys on your keyboard this is the best part that always feels so good yes so you get your profile changer there you've got your optical sensor you got a giant footprint down here you got two smaller ones up top and then of course for one around the sensor itself so that is the mouse right there compared to the RO cat that I recently just took a look at real cats still a monster this thing is still bigger oh my god makes you wonder why the hell they made
something so big but it's so comfy guys it's so comfy so when it comes to pulling the plate off it's literally just a matter of pulling it away from the magnets the magnetic force is not strong or it's not I'm sorry it's not weak and it's not too strong it's actually perfect and you get the satisfaction of hearing it snap right back into place which is awesome so let's go with the standardized one because that one's the one where most are familiar with of this style because when before this there were literally just the mm oh one and the MOBA version you had to buy
them separately now it's all intertwined and oh god that feels comfortable I like it they did add the grip on the back over here where your pinky and ring finger are gonna rest the only thing I don't like about this is it uses the same grip as the lancehead and the what was the one I looked at Bala sick I just don't like the lines I like the style of the DEF header grip that rubberized grip so ought to see if I can get used to this one but this mine is super comfortable folks so let's plug it in and shoot I don't even know if I have razors software installed well we'll find out
because all its gonna do is it's gonna yell at me and tell me that I need to plug it in okay that let's see if it's gonna yell at me it should any minute it actually just turned off both mice that's interesting okay all right now they're back on that's weird something with Windows I assume so here's Razer yelling at me let me know about the Naga Trinity congratulations on getting your Razer Naga Trinity connected have fun exploring the following and it's letting you know the usual it's installing tire folks but yes this is gonna be the RGB settings rage has always been
really awesome with RGB lighting all the products have been really bright I don't notice any creaking when I press on the mouse even with the modular design I love that here's the front angle of it so yeah I'm gonna give it a try and I'll probably report back in a week guys and let you know how I really really feel but right now I'm super confident in the use of this mouse I'm excited to give it a try so definitely .
with the Razer Naga we see some really good updates along with quality the Trinity now has a topical sensor and you can choose between three thumb panels you can have 12 buttons the standard 2 or 7 in a circle the entire panel comes off meaning the buttons don't feel flimsy there are actual buttons and the panels are held in by magnets of course it technically can be used without the side panels but notice it switches off as soon as I take the panel off I would say they
don't want you to risk damaging the pins and I'll just quickly mention the way they've done this is really good I can't for the part where it joins when I hold the mouse this is just like a regular Mouse pretty much perfect your thumb will be on all the buttons with the 12 a rubber grip with the 7 and the 2 buttons looks more like the other current generation of Roseau mice with a big rubber surface so like the others this is a textured plastic slightly rough that is still quite smooth
similar on the side panels but with the extra rubber and on the right side same again now let's talk shape as it's quite unique looking from the top you can see the basic design with a ledge on the right but if we look closer the left side doesn't really have a grip ledge it's kind of got a bolt here I managed to have my thumb underneath for some extra grip but it's not the most comfortable the rubber does help though so it feels fine in use on the other side again not a big
ledge but the rubber grips well and a Ledge which has a conflict for a minute so in true MMO fashion it's designed to allow your fingers to rest seen again on top with the combo grooves in the buttons which feel great forgetting about mmo's for a second see the shape here if they remove the side errors made it ambidextrous and love with the high profile and also straightened out the sides I think that would be an amazing shape because this top section is really comfortable I would love to see it on more of their mice looking at the base not only do
we see the profile button and the mouse V which glide smoothly we also see how around the shape is definitely not in line with a two to one ratio which I usually like the length to width looking at the measurements to group with there's about seven point two centimeters the length is about eleven point seven and it's about four point four centimeters high from the side the button slope is gradual with the hump extending from the middle almost halfway to the back which makes it seem more for palm grip I'd say hands up to about 20 by 10 centimeters you
should find it comfortable enough in Kluber maybe 16 to 21 the right side is surprisingly comfortable in claw and fingertip I can barely do it so above eighteen point five centimeters here it is next to some other rays of Messina the general size of it it's hard to put in a category because in some ways it's large in other ways it's medium it's between the abysus and death out of a so more like a medium mouse with some large elements as for the sensor as said it's a top
optical although not really needed in MMOs and mobis it's nice to have something that will work really well on desktop and in first-person shooters if you decide to play them obviously it handles rocket-jumping I can't make it spin out even moving it as fast as I can and was finding the tilts alone test 2 in the sniper test attracts pixel by pixel and it does this smoothly no problem there can't feel any delay but definitely aware the mouse is heavy so I'm not 100% on
that I can't find any acceleration or deceleration the lift up distance is under one dvd and knowing these sensors I doubt it will go much higher and in the line test everything looks good very happy to see razor using this optical in all their mice now I hope they continue to do so now here's a listen to the clicks you can use this as a way to check your own buttons for quality control but as always no two mice will sound exactly the same there are usually differences so
left and right have a nice snap to them it's satisfying and finding first-person shooters but maybe for comfort a lighter and quieter snap would have been better nice well feels easy enough two percent should be fine as a third button and having tilt left and right on the wheel is great too the Mossville was actually surprising it reminds me of the basilisk a little bit with the tension off dpi buttons they easy enough to click in and they're out of the way then each side panel has a different sound to it but I'll feel quite good easy to press in although not too
consistent on some of them usually I'd comment on ease of use but you have three panels to choose from so you should be able to find something that you like in a latency testing test it against the G 900 there's pretty much no difference so that's great performance felt good in Game two when tapping and shaking it unfortunately there is a slight rattle on my wheel hopefully others don't have that but it's not that big a deal either the cable is one of these
awesome new razor braids very smooth and flexible they could be the best cables on the market right now with a bungee it should feel almost Wireless and it's about 7 feet long as seems to be the tradition this MMO Mouse is fairly heavy 118 grams with the two buttons 121 with the 7 and 123 with the 12 I would have liked this to be about a hundred grams if they started with 100 grams and then allowed weights to be at it it could have said it a lot more people here's a
look inside the software he knows which panel is connected automatically and you can then assign the buttons to keyboard functions mouse sensitivity and assign macros I don't use macros personally but here's a look at the editor it doesn't pick up on mouse wheel movements but you can use middle click then there's profile and lighting and a great feature is to have the hyper shift so that essentially doubles the amount of buttons you have than the usual launch
autumn area and window shortcuts for the DPI it goes from 100 all the way to 16000 and that's in steps of 50 you can set up to five DPI stages and it has huge appalling rate options in chromis - do you have access to three lighting zones which you can match up with your other Rossa devices I find this one to be one of the better lighting editors it's simply enough and create some great effects and lastly you can calibrate your mouse pad and adjust the lift off distance if you
experience any issues also I set it up and I remembered the settings on a different computer so the onboard memory is working so in conclusion I absolutely love having three options for side buttons modular mice when done right are the best if the weight was adjustable it really could become an all-purpose mouse for people who like this shape for now it's just for the people who like heavier mice as of this review this is actually the best MMO Mouse I've tested comfortable versatile top optical sensor great buttons amazing cable Rosa are getting everything right these
days except maybe shape and weight depending on your preferences but those are two of the most important factors with first-person shooters not so much for MMO so it gets a pass that said I hit some amazingly tight shots using this map so maybe there's something more to it here's that shot in slow-mo looks like I hit the wall but that's just the beam the actual slope would have been time just right and watch this headshot I pretty much had to guess where he
was going to be because I was falling but the point is I got the mass exactly where I wanted it the shape was a bit awkward at first but that's fairly normal for a new shape I've actually been really happy with it so if you're playing mmo's or mobis or you need a lot of buttons for work this is definitely
Razer Naga Trinity Gaming Mouse: 16,000 DPI Optical Sensor review
this is the recent Naga Trinity it's the new Naga it's also pretty modular pretty yeah cannot awesome we're gonna take a look at the video sister current so I should point out I'm mostly an FPS gamer I play stuff like Clarence Barnes and Rainbow six siege and sometimes GTA 5 as well so these are so games that I personally play and test on and that sort of things so this is kind of a slightly bashed review towards those sorts of game types because I'm not an MMO ora MOBA player so if you are just bear that in mind when listening to my thoughts and opinions on the most with that said though this is a really very awesome Mouse into the box you get three attachable side pieces on the go on the left-hand side of the most both all three of these have two magnets on the Front's and the rear which are very easy to attach and attach but will not come off well you know regular gaming use that kind of thing is something that you
physically have to pull off but at the same time they stay on very nicely which is awesome the first side that comes pretty attached to the most is the standard magazine with 12 actually pretty firm but nice placed and generally nice buttons on the side you then have an FPS they almost sort of grip with a large rubber pad on the side for grip and obviously two standards of that slightly mushy and a little bit very kind of light to push in buttons that are in the more FPS
though and then you have a sort of mix of the two with a circle of again slightly mushy buttons that also have a rubber circle in the middle for grip and that sort of thing leaving those to one side for a second let's take a look at the rest of the most you do have a actually pretty wide Mouse here it's definitely a right-handed only style of most you have very nice feel on the left and right clicks and a very not she scroll wheel which I actually find very pleasant to use
although personally I still do love the MX masters infinite scroll wheel so I'm personally gonna use that but it's still very nice also on the right hand side you do have a place for your ring finger to sit and your pinky finger does have a nice rubber grip on the side too which is very nice and mix this a very comfortable Mouse and I really am very pleased with it the top of the
mouse you have to dpi switching buttons which are also very nicely placed actually quite easy to press as well and you obviously have the RGB sections for the squirrel will the Razer logo and the side depending on which side you have the sides with that multiple buttons so the eight button and the twelve button sides have LEDs built-in whereas the more FPS to button side doesn't on the bottom of us you have three very large feats for this of gliding surface and this is
awesome as it looks like it won't wear down very easily and even if it does you have a lot of surface to wear down there so that is nice to see so longevity side you do have a profile switching button on the bottom as well and obviously the sensor itself which i think is pretty similar to some of our KPM pmw 3360 it's a 16,000 dpi sensor is incredibly accurate and is also very nice for a general basically any gaming use both for the FPS that I was testing on and of
course for the more mobile centered most that it's kind of designed to be it's a pretty fantastic sensor the moving once of the adjustable sides they can also be controlled by the Razer synapse software the most auto detects itself and trusts and so the Razer synapse 3 beta this is a little bit buggy in my experience as you can see by especially when you're trying to use the advanced chroma configurator for a good while the mouse just didn't show up as one of the options so I
can adjust anything but it does kind of work for the most part and you can use the older version of synapse as well if you fancy but when you actually use the newer severe Razer synapse 3 beta you can customize Brickley anything it's pretty easy to do almost anything with any of the buttons here so if you want to use you know open programs with it they've also got the new hyper shift which is basically like pressing Shift key for your options so if for example
you do have the 12 button side on the mouse you can have say button 1 as the hyper shift button which then allows you to have two sets of buttons mapped to the rest of the 12 are the 11 other buttons that you can have a total of 22 options or buttons or actions available versus the standard 12 that would be here if you didn't have the hyper shift functionality so in my testing and experience with the mouse it was kind of interesting in that the standard mobis a the
standard 12 button side was actual one that I ended preferring the most I thought I'd prefer the eight button side as this has been great for stuff like Claire anons battlegrounds where you do still kind of need some extra hotkeys and to be able to switch weapons they're all medical supplies on and stuff like that and but you don't necessarily need all twelve but the placement for this just didn't feel quite right on the thumb where your end you end up resting on a lot of
the buttons and these feel a little bit more mushy than the standard twelve button side which is a bit of disappointing as it would be nice to see this just a little bit better I'd also like to see the slightly further forward just from my personal hand size but again it will depend on your a personal preference and hand size as well the one that surprised to be I'm actually going to let me down the most was the FPS side with two buttons now this is pretty comfortable with the rubber side is very nice but the two buttons are very very easily pressed there's no
distinguishing feature between them and they rock about quite a lot they're not really so centered very well so really it's a shame because this is a really cool idea personally I really like the the implementation of it the fact that these are very easily interchangeable they immediately switch the profile on the most so if you want to quickly switch to your fps you know setting to play some siege or whatever and you'll need a couple of buttons selected then threw this on
that'd be really cool but you know it's just that the implementation in the hardware side of things just isn't quite up to the sort of standard I would like it to be at with that said though the standard side that it comes with with the standard Naga a set with 12 buttons is very nice the actual buttons here are very tactile very clicky and very easy to place exactly which one's a which as there's slight differences between them so this is a really awesome side and this is the one that I'm personally going to use when I'm using this mouse and I think this might even
replace my steel series rival 310 as my so main desk Gaming Mouse or at least go for you know jump on my second desk as they sort of Ultra Wayne Gaming Mouse oh it's a very awesome dev kit and I definitely recommend it when it comes to pricing in the UK at the time of filming the most is retain for about a hundred pounds a percent a pretty high price premium brackets but does put itself up against some of the other higher price of premium ice like the G 903 from
Logitech and that sort of thing and actually has a pretty interesting set of features to go with it so I'm not too worried about that sort of price points when it comes to scoring for me this is going to be a four-volume money I think in terms of performance it's actually gonna be a five but in terms of functionality if they've done a little bit of a better job with the two set of non-standard nagisa's it would be a five year so that's why it's a four point five but in terms of
scoring it's gonna be a five in terms of styling it's gonna be a five and in terms of tetany be score I'm gonna go with a four point five and a gold award if they can improve the site's first of that Trinity b2 then then happily give this a top-tier award as it's a really impressive functionality aspect like that it comes with the sites in the box there's also really nice so you can hot-swap them really easily the software is decent if a bit buggy and it's a little bit annoying that you have
to sign in and create an account but otherwise it's a really impressive notice it feels very well built and I think if you pick it up I think you're gonna be pretty happy with it so that's my thoughts I'd love to hear yours in the comments down below is there anything that you'd like to see improved with this mouse or is there something you'd really like to see in your own hands like me all those comments down below and always if you have any questions just specifically about the most especially everything you have picking one up and feel free to also let me know
in the comments down below and we'll try and get back to you as soon as I can if you want to check out pricing for the most take a look at the Amazon link in the description down below that will be the top thing in the description for you so feel free to take a look at that and if you want to support the channel and keep me making these videos on a monday wednesday friday
