because they have released their k63 entry-level keyboard which comes in $$ though one has to question whether this keyboard is worthy of a spot in the life of the yes man well let's find out  welcome  this is your yes man coming to you guys today with another keyboard review though this time it's coarse as entry-level Cherry MX red switched ten keyless solution so it has the 10 num code keys on the right missing making it a bit narrower than your standard keyboard though with this model coming in at 365 millimeters wide by 170 millimeters tall it also weighs in at 1.1 kilograms so it does have a little bit of weight to it though what about the elevated key switches well of course they have decided to go with the Cherry MX Reds in this model which actuate about halfway down enter a linear switch with ABS key caps the key caps allow the static red LED backlighting to show through there's also a red backplate underneath the keys which allow the red light to shine through and looks quite good especially in the dark I have

found typing on all the keys to have really good consistency and also be very rigid in that there was no flexibility and all the keys and the way they have been implemented in the k63 are all top-notch that's the noise on this keyboard I found it to be about midway between that of a blue switch and that of a top-rate though I'll let you guys take a listen the responsiveness of the keys however is only a flash behind that of their new cherry MX speed switches which Corsair using the K 95 Platinum Edition which actuated a slightly higher point than that of the Reds so this is something the professional gamers looking for every bit of advantage may want to consider with the K 63 versus a higher-end model I personally prefer the higher actuation points even though I'm a scrub has been nowadays when it comes to professional gaming looking at the top of the keyboard Corsair ever included media playback keys a window is lucky and also a brand new ski that allows the three different levels of brightness adjustment I personally preferred
max brightness kind of late one is to prefer mr. max powers to miss the no game and on the rear side of the keyboard you get four rubber feet and an additional level of height adjustment there is no wrist rest included with this keyboard and the cable is a good two meters in length testing out the k63 and games showed it to be just like any other mechanical keyboard when gaming and that is a matter of opinion and what's best for you though I will say it was a good experience when playing some csgo very responsive and also very easy to use though I do feel like your mouse is a much more important choice if you are serious about being competitive the included q2 software also allows you to change standard keys to different keystrokes and also program individual macros the lighting effects also allow for multiple effects at once where you can adjust speed and opacity of those effects though on this keyboard you can only do that in the color red lastly Corsair claimed this keyboard has anti-ghosting properties and full and key rollover and with my super spam test it performed very well missing no keys at all so when it

comes down to it the key 63 is a solid keyboard from Corsair one with consistent build quality all throughout the keyboard was an easy matte black look as well that doesn't soak up any fingerprints and sure there are cheaper options out there for keyboards especially ones with knockoff clone switches but I don't think that will be as consistent as this keyboard is the only thing I'd like to see on the K 63 in the future is the use of speed switches instead of the Reds though that is just a personal preference and I think it is price it is a great option for someone looking for a premium keyboard but doesn't need the features that more expensive keyboards have especially if you aren't going to utilize those features anyway and better still there is the option to assign macro keys with the software and you still have the backlighting to see your keys at nighttime or in a poorly lit room anyway guys the k63 at its current price point definitely gets the nod of approval from me and let me know in the comments section below what keyboard are you currently using and why I love reading your comments as always

take me here with a keyboard review in this keyboard you know what before we get into any of this spoiler alert add this thing to your cart right now because it is that good but anyways we're reviewing of course here case 63 mechanical gaming keyboard 10 keyless here and let me tell you what this thing is coming in at 50 bucks right now that's on Corsair Amazon whatever 50 bucks and honestly even at the regular MSRP of 79 bucks I still think it's worth it it's that good but what I'd like to do is pop it open bring you guys didn't show you the keyboard a little bit then I'll be back with you we'll do a sound test or you talk about the pros and cons you know what it's really not cons there's really only one thing I don't like about it but let me bring you and show you and I'll be right back with you, so let's go look at the software
right now now we are in course your IQ software and honestly a few guys have caught some of my previous videos I love the IQ software it is just fantastic anyway so we got our K 63 selected right here you have actions and this is where you can get down here and adjust some of your settings your macros and all that stuff as you can see I have all this to adjust in there I don't use any of that but if you do hey it's there so anyways right down here we have the lighting effect and this is where you can adjust the effects that you saw in the close-ups down there you have all these different effects and I really like how it shows you up on the screen what you have going on you know you have your speed right here where you can go faster or slow and it shows whatever you adjust right on the screen which is really really nice and then of course your brightness right there over here you have your custom where you can adjust like say if you got a ripple and you can just where it starts where it stops what not your speed your color and all that stuff again I keep mine on static pretty much all the time and it's just right there and then

right down here in the performance tab you can adjust what the windows lock key does if it's alt tab whatnot or just the basic disable the windows key and then your lock indicator right down here under performance so that's the software it's straight simple to the point and I love it so what did you guys think about the close ups and the software me personally I love it I think it's simple it's to the point and it's getting everything done here and before we go any further I want to get that one flaw out of the way since we just saw the close-ups and talked a little about that software the one flaw I have and you know this is something I don't like this is just that something someone else may like is that it's just black and red the RGB is only red and then underneath it when the RGB is off I can click it off by this button right up there so the RGB is off and you still have that red accent underneath it that is the only flaw with this keyboard again for me it's perfect because my entire setup is black and red you don't mean but some people might have any blue or green setup and this will just throw off your vibe so that is

the only flaw right there all right so now that we got that out of the way let's talk about some of these pros and right off the bat while we're talking about that RGB or just are other things just like some bread it's crisp and it's vibrant as you can see right here if you press this button right up here to control your brightness you have three settings so right now we're off one two and three I know it's not you know just shining out here I got these lights on right now but it is crisp and it's vibrant everything he has its own light underneath it now let's talk about the build here and this thing is made completely out of plastic there's no metal underneath it or anything the base is all plastic and let me tell you what this thing has some serious weight to it hands down probably the heaviest plastic key port in a high of use yep I do not took as a box I was like wow you got to be kidding me you know and that's a good thing that means whenever you're playing or anything it's not gonna be budging and moving around on you again this thing feels
incredibly solid now talking more on the bill on the back side as you see you got four rubber feet right here and then these guys your little feet that pop out the bottom of them are rubber right there so it does not move around on you at all and again you got that weight kind of helping ya out as well so like I said whenever you're playing this guy does not budge on you and on top of the ball as you saw it up here you have audio controls it's right over here you have your windows lock key in your brightness button like we just talked about but your volume up/down mute and then your trap track skip and stop and whatnot so in this  price range you're still getting all those features like wow like come on like you gotta be kidding me and yes like I mentioned in beginning this is a mechanical keyboard it is using the Cherry MX red switches as you can see right there and they sound fantastic man let me give you a quick sound test they're gonna put you guys about two feet from the mic right here again we got Cherry MX so they are smooth and they sound absolutely solid now you might be kind of wondering like that space bar down there for example sounds a little different compared to some other ones

right so it's not as loud you kind of just got a little bit more of a UH I don't know how to explain it but it's right you know what let me get a mechanical keyboard the metal base lets you hear the difference alright so right here I have the HyperX alloy FPS pro it's used in Cherry MX Reds as well and again I just won't let you hear the difference of a mechanical keyboard with a plastic base and then one with a metal base so let's start with the Corsair with the plastic base spacebar on that one now let's do the spacebar on a metal base with the HyperX here now I'm just going to hit a couple keys over here let me bring it in for you as well so again Corsair HyperX metal base so I don't know if you guys could tell the difference but honestly I don't know how to put it but it sounds like these keys are hitting metal and these keys are hitting plastic obviously right that's what it's doing that's the best way to explain that's honestly how they sound but this honestly sounds amazing it almost brings down the sound level just a little
bit more you still get that great Cherry MX red feeling but it's not really loud it almost brings that sound tone down a little bit and it sounds fantastic it really does now this thing does connect by USB and a USB is attaching it back it doesn't beat and this is a pretty big sturdy USB is not chintzy by any means it feels incredibly solid now one other thing you're probably question about the keys is that spacebar let me show it to you right here lets you see it has those little bumps on it right there now those my concern is well I'm like man that thing's really gonna get annoying and just kind of pressing on 2 kasa cuz we're using our spacebar a lot right and I honestly don't notice it and it doesn't hurt my thumb or anything so I don't like those mice with these big chunky grips on or anything right so I still kind of the idea I had of this like man I just can get annoying after long play session and you honestly do not notice it at all one other thing I want to show you why we had that spacebar off right here it's now it has those nice stabilizers right there those little mach switches if you can see right there so again the spacebar feels just like any other key so no matter where you press it it feels fantastic you know

what why are you looking at that check that I you can see the red underneath it really well right now so again back to that flaw that would be the one flaw I'd say like if you're not into black and red I don't know this might be a bust for you but if you love black and red I mean you can't beat it solving all my take on the Corsair k63 keyboard here I'm sure you guys can wrap it up for yourselves right and kind of get my judgment from I love this thing I think it is fantastic I'm in fear in the market for a keyboard and you only have 50 bucks which again 50 bucks is pretty much what the majority of the membrane keyboards run for right well you're talking 50 bucks for a mechanical Cherry MX red audio switches 10 keyless I mean come on this should not just be on your list this should be in your shopping cart right now you should be pressing that checkout button it's that good so please

the brand new course their gaming k63 wireless gaming keyboard yes I showed this off for you guys on a first look back at CES but we've had it in the studio but using it for the past two weeks now I'm ready to give you the whole lowdown the pros and cons all the good stuff in case you're interested in picking up the corsair k63 wireless gaming keyboard so first off down to the basics this keyboard is nice and compact because it's 10 keyless that means you don't have the number pad or anything on the right side it's a much smaller form factor which I like because it's not gonna take up as much room on your desktop on the top left-hand corner we still have dedicated multimedia keys big thumbs up for that next to the Corsair logo you have your LED brightness button and in windows lock key then over on the right side you have volume controls turning it around on the back side is your on and off switch plus a micro USB slot for charging this thing up then on the back for rubber pads so it doesn't slide on your

desktop and then two feet so you can slightly elevate its backside when you're typing your gaming and in terms of build quality very very solid and rugged absolutely zero flex even though the design is primarily plastic nothing shoddy going on here and also inside the box they include a nice rubberized wrist rest for you that attaches easily on the bottom here so to give your wrist some little padding while you're typing or gaming now since this is ten key lists you're gonna be missing out on some of those keys but they make up for in most of your function areas function f knives can let you control the wireless set-up here whether you want to connect this over like a wireless connection with the wireless receiver or if you want to pair it via bluetooth you can with function f10 holding down f11 is gonna give you a little wireless indicator which is gonna be right above that you'll see a little power button the LED that's

gonna tell you whether it's you know fully charge the batteries starting to die or it's pretty much dead next up let's talk about what's going on under the key caps and here you'll notice you have this kind of blue backplate underneath all the keys because the LED lights that are in keyboard are blue yes only blue no RGB in these models and having that blue backplates gonna help kind of accentuate the color in the lights so it appears brighter and more saturated and let me tell you it definitely does because at nighttime these things glow really really bright and they have a pretty good amount of effects you know usually what a keyboard just has one color they don't give you the full option to picking different effects uses just like breathing or you know

fading in and out but here you still have the typical coarse hair effects that you see it in other keyboards and then to a very important thing is the key switches in this model it is cherry MX red and there as of now only selling red I assume or it's going to be available especially this thing sells really well down the line but now we only have red in these and they're your typical gaming switch because they're linear a lot quieter than blues and I'm pretty sure last time I checked a few months ago rads were still like the the most top-selling switches you can get in a

keyboard so I've showed them off before but I know you all want to hear I'll do a sound test now so you could hear how these red switches sound in the k63 Wireless now before we move this along this keyboard also features 128-bit AES encryption which is gonna help protect your keystrokes from say someone who's trying to like hack into your computer and they could read that wireless data I guess going on from what you're typing in so for example some wireless keyboards I set the ball to someone hacking the information so you type in like your password a lot they could read that info but with this 128-bit AES encryption it protects that I honestly you don't know a lot about it it is a feature I'm just telling you guys what they told me pretty much that's cool if you need something like that so now I'm moving on they're also selling this keyboard with the k63 Wireless lap board it's an essentially gonna give you a really cool

Corsair K63 Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard review

solution to something like wireless gaming in the living room you have nice rubber padding on the back side so when you have it on your lap it's not gonna like you know feel heavy or anything and also has a built-in wrist rest they built-in mouse pad the cell made to go in unison together with their wireless ecosystem just a few days ago I reviewed their course they're a wireless dark core RGB mouse so obviously with this k63 Wireless you plug it into the lap board use the wireless mouse on the built-in mousepad and you now have this whole in-house wireless solution for you and there's no tools needed you just snap the keyboard into place there's just little like clips on the back that locked the keyboard in and it's nice and secure may also include four sets of extra clips in case they you know fall off or break you they include two sets for the front of the keyboard where the wrist rest is and two extra clips for the backside

then once it's snapped into place it's locked in you can turn it upside down shake it all that good stuff those little clips definitely do its job and like I said if you're looking for something like this where you need wireless gaming whether it's like in the living room setup or something like that and you want that you know that reliable one millisecond response time for online FPS or whatever you're doing a duo like this and even with the the dark core RGB Mouse having a great wireless setup is gonna go hand-in-hand with something like this unintentional horrible pun or you just say that you're fine when you're not really funny and after my time using this I've had zero issues I've constantly had it plugged in with a wireless receiver which is a 2.4 gigahertz connection with a 1 millisecond response time and you know just as important as a wireless mouse is for keep before your online gaming keyboards gonna be just as important as well because you're constantly putting in these keystrokes they need to register the second you press them in and sometimes with peripherals in the past that we're wireless there will be sort

of some sort of delay where it could interfere with your online gaming but with this zero issues in fact the other day when I was gaming I played to pub G games in a row won them both back to back and I was also using the dark core wireless mouse so I was like alright I guess I guess it's legit it's supposed to be so I think it's really solid keyboard and battery life I almost forgot they say 15 hours so like three days if your gaming five hours at a time not too bad for a wireless keyboard you can always plug it in while it's charging to use it wired you know I love the media keys you still get the lighting effects really not too much to complain about so honestly I'm pretty impressed with the little duo here I mean it's nothing you know revolutionary or groundbreaking but it just works it does what it's supposed to and that's it's rugged its reliable and I'm a big fan of that even with the k63 the lap board here you get for an extra 50 bucks like I said if you need something like this for what like 160 total you now have

that whole living room set up solution for you so really really great stuff here from Corsair like so just just the little things like having the little clips replaceable and stuff like that for the lap board it's all good in the end the only con I'm gonna mention for this review and it's such a stupid con that I'm really feeling stupid for even saying it is the lack of RGB in this keyboard because I know the comments section is gonna be crazy about the RGB you can only get the k63 in the blue that I have here or in ice blue LED variant which I mean is an odd switch up if you mean they're both blue at the end of the day it's just you can get a lighter ice blue I don't know I think they should have had either all RGB or do what they did with the older vengence

keyboards like have blue LED lights for blue switches and red for the red switches but uh right now only Red's available so I don't know just one of the photos to cents out there in the end like I said great stuff definitely a big thumbs up for me if you want to check them out I have them both listed for you in the description down below like you're a few guys let me know and if you have any questions hit you up and follow me on twitter and that's gonna wrap it up

it's course is k63 compact mechanical keyboard now super quickly Before we jump into this review our play tech is auctioning off one of their pre-built pcs it's a rising system it's really cool and all the proceeds are going to charity  so I suggest you guys go over and take a look at that and if you are in new zealand i think about bidding on the pc because if you win it it's going to be a hell of a computer for one and all the money goes to a really good cause now let's talk about the design of this keyboard then kick off this review so as you can see it is a 10 keyless design a very compact design that makes it a good for people who are traveling a lot or just don't have much disk space or whatever the situation may be there is a market for a 10 keyless keyboards and this one is a very very compact so that's good now it is a plastic fantastic there's a no middle on here that I can see however this feels incredibly well built I'm really surprised actually there's no flex it feels a you know very very sturdy and that's what you want and a keyboard that

you're going to be you know taking with you if you're going to another country or something like that now it still has the media keys up on the top on the top right are left and right which is quite interesting for a combat keyboard I didn't expect to see those but these are there so that's quite a good addition I always forget to use them but I guess if you got really used to the Skiba wood you may really like them after a while now it has quite a flat stance to it I personally don't like that so I head up on the stands then it felt really good added a bit of angle there but for those people out there that like a very flat keyboard it'll be good for you but if you don't want that you can just prop it up in the stands like I did and it feels just fine and it also has an option to put a wrist risk resting which is a interesting thing because consume this is a compact keyboard and it doesn't actually come with one which is also quite interesting so I yeah the option is there if you really want but I'm not sure how many people will actually take Corsair up on it now let's move over to the keys then so key switch wise is using the Cherry MX red

switch so a cheery mix keys made in Germany the best by far I've told you guys a million times they're my favorite they're the best yet don't let anybody tell you otherwise the Ritz which is a quieter switch it's a linear switch and yeah a lot of people like them for typing especially I'm personally the blue switch is my favorite probably followed by the brown but the red is still a very nice switch and I think you really like it if you get to this keyboard now it does take a while to get used to allow obviously not having the numpad and stuff like that for users like me who use that all the time it does take a bit of getting used to however if you're a person that never uses the numpad then you probably won't really notice that it's gone to be perfectly honest you just always use a numbers up top then hey you know you'll be just fine so you wouldn't even miss it in terms of that part to bail out and personally yeah I think this is a good keyboard I used to play games or playing a Starcraft last night with a Steve and Brian and it was actually

fantastic we had a lot of fun and yeah it's a great keyboard for gaming and everything else and for typing on I had no issues with it at all now let's move over to lighting then so lighting why's it only has the red LEDs so there's no RGB here which is a good thing from a sin perspective because it does keep the cost down we will talk about that a bit later on see only the red LEDs as red backplate as well which kind of like extenuate the red LED look to it makes it look a bit brighter and I think it looks pretty good this is a pretty good-looking keyboard obviously the RGB ones will look even better from courses line up but for just a single color LED it looks pretty nice at contrast really nicely with that red backplate so I don't really have any issues with it now as far as our features go it comes with the corsair q software which is slowly getting better honestly and considering this guy there's not much that you can do in it it's just fine in

that regard so there's no macro buttons on the keyboard as you can see dedicated one but i'm in queue you can disable alt-tab all day for shift tap and the windows key which is really nice in case you you know do that i always disable the windows kits or something I've always done so I like that it also comes with a few lighting modes a handful so you get a visor ring wave type lighting key type lighting ripple and of course static color mode so there's a few there I'm enough you have a bit of fun with it anyway I mainly just wasted on static but I do that with most of my keyboards anyway although the rain one looks pretty crazy so if you put that one on that your friends are really going to notice the keyboard then or if you're like a PM spamming and games and having the typing one with ripple makes the keyboard just go crazy so that can be fun also which brings us now to the conclusion and what do I make of the corsair k63

compact mechanical keyboard so price-wise it's going to be coming in at a hundred and thirty nine Australian dollars when it comes out in mid April for that price for a cherry MX keyboard ah that's pretty good I must say that is actually pretty good cherry makes keyboards obviously go for a bit more than other mechanical keyboards which use Chinese switches I'm just by the virtue that they're bitter switch more well made you know made in Germany so at that point price point I think it's fair I don't think that's like a super good deal but not a bad deal I think it's a sort of fair price for what you're getting now the compact design is going to be very useful for a lot of people out there so they will really like that it feels well built and the design of role is quite good so yeah this is a pretty decent keyboard in that regard it feels nice to type on the Cherry MX switches are always fantastic so that feels really nice the key caps also feel really good too and they have that big font on them which some people like the lighting is basic but

hey it gets the job done and looks teaching at the same time and overall this is just a good compact keyboard if you're looking for something small looking for a good 10 kilos keyboard if you're someone who travels a lot or whatever your case may be and I listen to you really well you shouldn't really have any complaints that I can think of maybe the lack of RGB LEDs might you know some people might want them but honestly I don't think that's the biggest deal in the world and overall I think this is a really solid compact keyboard.
