today I picked up some case fans for my PC so I just wanted to show you a little bit about what I picked up these are the cooler master 120 millimeter silent fans now I know a lot of people are probably thinking why the hell would you make a video about some case fans well I know that a lot of people have been looking at these these particular fans are a four and one pack and those are that's really like crackhead prices pretty much you're pretty much getting four fans for the price of one or two so I know it's something that a lot of people have
come across so I thought it'd probably be beneficial to just show you what you get with these fans and what you can expect if you're in the market for some fans for your PC so within the box of course you get a set of four fans they're all black there's no LEDs or fancy lighting with these fans which personally I like I don't like my computer looking like a Fast and the Furious car so as long as they perform well and they're low-key that definitely matches what I'm looking for so again all black they all come with three pin connectors so you do lose the PWM functionality but these do spin at a fairly low rpm so it's really not a big deal there each fan
comes with its own set of hardware mounting screws and then Coolermaster throws in some pamphlet but information which I didn't really read but who cares so that's pretty much it within the box it's pretty bare-bones as far as the stats for these fans they operate around 1300 rpm and their airflow is rated at forty four point seventy three CFM there's sleeve bearing type of fan and they're rated at around 30,000 hours of life I don't know how they came up with that number but I'm not going to argue because I'm not going to be to test it there 120 by 120 by 25
millimeters dimension wise and the cable length is 300 millimeter now as far as the construction of the fans themselves I did notice that they are fairly well made they're definitely made a lot better than the plastic exhaust fan that came with my cougar spike case they kind of the fan blades themselves kind of have like a a tin filling like they kind of feel like this so I'm confident that they will move a lot of air nicely just based on the construction of the fans themselves now as far as sound goes these fans do kind of emit like a high-pitched sound I'm not really sure
where to put my finger on it but it kind of sounds like a hairdryer had a smaller level so that may be something that you'd want to be aware of if you're looking for truly silent case fans these are not truly silent but they are well built and I'm pretty sure they'll last the life of your computer so you don't really have anything to worry about there as far as build quality but sound wise that is something that you may want to be aware of now you may be able to also help combat a lot of the noise that you get just by maybe throwing a rubber grommet in
between the case and the screw just kind of dampen the vibrations I haven't done that myself yet and I kind of have like a cheap budget case so it's not the quietest in the world and you do kind of hear a little bit of the vibrations so that may be something that you'd want to do just to help out on the noise level so if you're really sensitive to noise these fans probably aren't for you but if you're just looking for something that's quality fan on a budget and these definitely do fit the bill so I can recommend them on that level now one thing I am going to do is just let you
listen to how the fans sound this isn't really a scientifical test because this can be affected by the input level on my mic and blah blah blah but you can always hear it in relation to my voice so take a listen to this here and actually what I'm going to do is just stop all of the fans temporarily in my case except for this one probably don't recommend doing this but I'm gonna do it.
