COOLING
Axial-tech Fans
Better, faster, stronger
Newly designed for the latest generation of top-end ROG graphics cards, these fans feature a smaller hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure.
0dB Technology
Quiet intelligence
An advanced onboard controller brings fans to a standstill when the GPU core temperature is below 55 Celsius, letting you enjoy light gaming in relative silence. As temperatures rise past the threshold, the fans automatically start up again.
* To activate 0dB mode, please engage Quiet (Q) bios mode by using the onboard switch.
2.7-slot Design
Sink your heat into this
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER White Edition leverages a 2.7-slot design to gain more heatsink surface area. The extra thermal headroom increases overclocking potential and allows fans to run at even lower speeds in light scenarios.
Dual BIOS
Choose wisely
Do you prioritize low core temps or low noise levels? Performance mode will let the fans spin up to keep the card running cool all the time. Quiet mode keeps the same power target and top-end settings, but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at medium temps. For even more customization and control, check out our GPU Tweak II software.

the Asus Rock Strix white overclocked graphics card and when I saw it announced I just had to get my hands on it I thought it looked absolutely beautiful and that's why I'm here doing an unboxing make sure to check the kicker channel in January though because we are going to be doing a full review of this graphics card it's just very limited at the moment I'm currently at overclockers it's very kindly lent me a graphics card to unbox however the full review won't be coming in till January this is just kind of an early look at it but I was very excited and I
couldn't actually wait to get my hands on it so a little bit of background behind this graphics card it isn't just for aesthetic purposes as you're all well aware I really like my white PC computer proponents but also this graphics card comes with a really kind of high boost clock speed as well the normal rogue Strix overclocked card has a base clock speed on the box of 1665 megahertz and when you kind of use the graphics card you'll see it will boost up to like 1950
megahertz graphics cards often boost a lot higher than what was actually stated on the box with this graphics card it has a higher boost clock speed so it's written down as 1717 megahertz on the box so that's going to boost roughly about 100 megahertz higher than the regular Strix gaming overclocked card they're kind of like grey black and gray version so in a real world situation you're going to look at this graphics card overclocking to about 2050 megahertz or
even two thousand one hundred megahertz for out of the box boost clock speed that is a really really awesome there's only a couple of graphics cards out there that have that high boost clock speed there's one from gigabyte kind of their gigabyte horas extreme 2080 ti that has a the same kind of boot clock speed and then also the kingpin card as well from EVGA which is like another mental graphics card so this graphics card is really really up there it actually has a
higher boost clock speed then my all of Fame card that I took a look at that was a crazy beautiful white graphics card with great overclocking capability and this graphics card is technically going to be fast out of the box and that is really quite exciting so taking a look at the box itself we can see the asus have definitely updated the packaging it's white in gray to match the new aesthetic of this graphics card and it really does stand out it has a nice silver lettering
and things on it and you've also got the nvidia green as well just to tell you isn't r-tx 2080 TI on the back of the box you've got a few more pictures that kind of show off the graphics card told you a little bit about the other features it's got as well such as the RGB lighting you've also got the kind of auto extreme kind of like manufacturing process to enhance reliability is a lot of kind of marketing stuff really but the main thing about this graphics card is it does come with
that high kind of overclock out of the box ,] and yeah there's software and stuff on the back here it tells you what connectivity it has it also tells you about the other specifications and things as well but essentially it is a rogue Strix overclocked gaming graphics card with a higher boost clock speed and it does come with a three-year warranty as well so I have got a knife and this graphics cards brand-new so I'm gonna crack it open and we can take a little look at the
graphics card itself I'm really excited to see what it's going to look like what the kind of white colors are and things are gonna whether they're going to match the backplate to the cooler etc the box inside is also white and it has some more of the nice silver lettering and it's got Strix written on there just to remind you what graphics card it is oh I'll show you guys that's a really nice kind of presentation it looks like there's some sort of ruler in that and also a little box with
maybe the guide in that tells you a little bit about the graphics card I'll open it up and take a look yeah so we've got our little booklet and that tells you how to basically plug it in and set it up and also it will thank you as well for purchasing the graphics card I mean you haven't bought it but you know you kept the idea yeah it's just is essentially a QuickStart guide and a little thank-you note yeah that's a ruler ifou that's a nice little freebie it doesn't actually say you
get that on the box but it's an asus republic of gamers ruler and it has some kind of information about I think that's like motherboard manufacturer and stuff on it I suppose it's probably like GPU manufacturing information I don't review GPU so one I don't know too much about the technical side of things if I'm honest I'm here for the unpeople the aesthetics of the white card so here it is it comes very packaged very very nicely it's got a lot of foam in there it's got the
anti-static bag there's a couple of white velcro cable ties and there she is so it's probably about time to go over the pricing information because I didn't actually mention that on the start so this graphics card and overclockers UK currently which is so painful to say because that is such an expensive graphics card the 22 TI is a really expensive graphics card anyway and then when you bump it up to that much money it's just crazy
however they have told me that they've sold seven of them already they've only cut this card in stock for let's show a couple of days so it's clearly a market out there for people that have a lot of money and really want a white graphics card and two there you have it it costs a lot of money but people like it and people buy it and if you're reading this review you clearly talk interested in it as well so I'm just going to take off the anti-static bag it's pretty weighty it's pretty heavy I imagine actually it's pretty similar to the existing card it's just gonna be that it has a higher
boot clock speed and obviously everything is nicely coated than white so the white is a really nice bright cool white they've definitely got a really good match between the backplate and the actual cooler and the fans so they've done a really good job with that obviously it is quite hard to match plastic and metal and you see that a lot of white PC cases but a so seem to have done a pretty good job like I said it is definitely on the cool side it's definitely more of a bluey white but I think that does look better in systems anyway if you're gonna have RGB lighting it tends to
like reflect it a little bit better if you have more of a yellowish Y it can definitely look more on the cream side so on the back plate you've got the big rogue I here and I imagine that's probably gonna light up RGB and the PCB looks like it is black so if you were to water cool this card you aren't gonna have any of the white effect essentially because it is the same kind of PCB on the hoff card that i took a look at and i own that has a white PCB so that's something quite unique to like KF a2 and they're hall-of-fame cards and however it does have the white
backplate and it does have a white cooler so I'll turn it back around take a look at that cooler and yeah it's it's really nice it this bit along here it's like the other Strix card that is going to light up RGB and I imagine that looks really really beautiful I love white and her love RGB on the back you've got the various ports for different connectivity and it looks like they've also made kind of the little plugs to keep dust out those are also white as well so that's a nice touch
the GeForce r-tx lettering is in silver the Republic of gamers in the silver silver and white is a winning combination really and also quite a nice little touches that the little cables on that for the RGB lighting I imagine that's probably four on the cooler those are also white as well so that there isn't any kind of ugly cables or anything and it's also powered by two eight pin connectors which I'm pretty sure is the same as the regular Strix card and so it's not like the
hall-of-fame card that I think needs three eight pin connectors this card only requires the two but I imagine it's gonna be an absolute beast like I say this is only an unboxing review so please and make sure to check out our full review in January it is definitely coming kicker is just waiting on our sample that we can actually review this one it actually bonds to overclock OC cake because they're going to be using it they've just allowed me to unbox it basically and take an early look at it but I really like you I think if you're in the market for a white graphics card
that also has really amazing performance and you're not really worried about too much how much it costs because obviously you are paying quite a bit of a premium for this card over a regular 2080 TI which is already an expensive graphics card then I think you're going to be really happy with this at least from an aesthetic point of view anyway of course we're not sure about the performance quite yet that it should be a very beastly card and I'm looking forward
to ASA scraping some more white PC components as well I imagine with this graphics card coming they're kind of dabbling in that market so maybe we're gonna see a case from them maybe we're gonna see a motherboard or something as well I mean they already have the prime Series but I used to have one of the ASA stuff motherboards before it's their budget line the I think it was called the sublime Coe and that was a beautiful board I would really love for Asus
to kind of head down that snowy white road again and make some more white PC components cuz I'm really happy with the way this one looks .
ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming Graphics Card (ROG-STRIX-RTX2080S-O8G-WHITE)
the new rogue Strix gaming white edition and it's the 20 80 TI although it's only a short-term loan I don't get to keep it despite what a lot of you guys think with youtubers now inside the box its it's a white box
they've even changed the foam to white I know it's something minor details you get a couple of white velcro tabs and then you do get this rather funky it's silicon like a bit like a motherboard but you get that funky ruler which is rather cool now this is just a preview and I will explain why it arrived today I didn't know the board the graphics card was coming and apologies just have a rather late delivery so as I was trying to say I didn't know this was coming today and I
actually have to go away if you follow me on my facebook page you'll see that I'm going away to do some stuff for the next week and I'm not gonna get a chance to get this tested we also have the RX 5500 launch coming up so I'm gonna have to do this when I get back so rather than me sitting on it and you guys not to see it I thought I would give you a little preview now one of the
things I will say about this is it's not just white they are cherry picked and what it does is it's gonna come with better boost so up to 360 Watts maximum power delivery but the power target is up to 300 although they don't say what it was originally but what they do say is it's sixteen hundred and sixty five megahertz boost and it's now up to 17 hundred and seventy so it's got a fairly flippin healthy overclock on it and the other thing that they've done is they've
always had a BIOS switch and the other streaks is do have this as well but this is just something I thought I would kind of draw - so it's got P mode in a Q mode so the P mode is performance but the Q mode people think it's going to like down clock and stuff and it doesn't it just runs the fan slightly lower so it's a much quieter environment so in P mode you're going to get full
speed but you're gonna get the temperatures are gonna be slightly better in Q mode you still get full speed but you get a slightly warmer temps so it lets de temps increase a little bit so other things with this card because it is packed with details and I know it might sound silly but they've even changed the cap covers to white and what I did notice as well if you have a look up here on this vrm heatsink that is white as well so no pink thermal pads although that one there
is gray something else I did notice was underneath here and the camera may change a few times as it tries to focus but there is a cooling plate underneath here with some fins on you can see it's white inside and that is also it's all bolts into this but it's actually metal when it's still white so you can see it comes all the way along here and bolts in notes I it could be perceived it's being plastic but it is metal you can see it comes all the way around the card so the strength metal
strengthening brace is also white and this is an active cooling plate for it as well there is our D bar G or RGB on it as you would assume or expect with one of the Strix cards it's the 20 80 TI as well so it's got their new fans on it beyond that I mean you still get your normal 8 pin you've got 2 PWM connectors around here so you can actually have these if you wanted to plug fans into these then they can be set to run off of a fan profile with the graphics card so if you have a
let's say a vertical mount in your case and you have two fans underneath you could plug those into the graphics cards and then when your graphics card warmed up the fans underneath can actually react directly to it that's kind of cool but it's not new for an Asus card they've been doing it for ages there's also an RGB header on as well it's the 4-pin one to a normal header so maybe you've got an RGB fan that you could plug into this and then it's also got an RGB
header that you can plug into that and you can actually set it off of the graphics card as well white back plate and I have done some ASMR kind of like mumbo jumbo which I'm going to put on the TTL page that's a mirror I know I don't know whether this lights up yet I've had a look around the back and it's kind of I'm not a hundred percent sure yet normally the eye lights up maybe it'll be like a two-way mirror with some lighting on it I don't know yet one thing I
will say about the back plate though is it's kind of a satiny matte approach it's not gloss white and all the plastic is the same as well but the back plate is really nice because where it's like powder coated then they've got the silver print over the top it's a really really nice effect one of the other things I did want to draw attention to as well as I did mention RTB if you don't like RGB there is a switch here you can literally flick the switch and it goes into full ninja quiet I'm
sorry full ninja no lights on mode so you don't have to worry it also means if you don't want RGB you don't have to install the software to turn it off and that is a big plus so 20 atti in why I am a self-confessed white hardware fiend so then the only other thing that I was thinking to myself is what motherboard would I use and I have just reviewed the prime TRX 40 that something else Isis surprised me with which I wasn't sure about was I've also got a x2 99 prime
edition 34 the Asus 30th anniversary now I know a lot of the view out there I'm going to say about the fact that it's Intel and I'm fully aware that AMD is quicker with thread Ripper slightly more expensive but I get all of that but it is a properly properly pretty white motherboard I think you've probably seen Peter brands has been posting a lot of pictures and videos on his Instagram because he got one a few weeks ago it's a very pretty white
motherboard and it is making me wonder if I should maybe do a quick build with my custom white cooler mass that SL 600 and put all of this in there with it so let me know your thoughts on that this was just me sharing white hardware with you guys yes it's not a review it's literally just me trying to keep you guys up to date with what's going on here you can follow me on the tiny Tom Logan Facebook if you like I totally get there is no it wasn't lit up and we've not got
any performance data it was just for those of us that are a member of the PC master-race .
