all right so this is a viper - four gigabytes a gigabyte pack of ddr4 ram was just I'm just gonna show you guys the Box gonna be using this on my PC build and they can see everything there you can pause it if you guys want to see it we're gonna open it this is a pretty cheap Ram got it   on outlet PC and free shipping no art no RGB that brings a price 

much higher I don't care for lights just care for it to be a little bit faster right so this is 3000 megahertz cast latency is 16 or I think no actually 15 yeah 15 I believe I'll actually double check right now it's 16 you can see there so I honestly did not want to go for 3,200 I believe is a the next step up on frequency because usually see there's problems with your processor and then your motherboard accepting it and you got to fiddle with the BIOS there's gonna be my first 

build so I don't want to spend for something and then end up not being able to have a clocked at that particular speed so I believe three thousands fairly fine probably the board's gonna downgrade it to 29 33 I believe if you want to go even safer you can always get 20 400 megahertz and just save all that money but I'm sure you can do the 2933 there's going to be 

paired with the rise in 1700 you can see it on my channel as well I doing bought unboxing it's gonna be paired with the be 350 motherboard I'm gonna just do a dual channel this should be fine I don't really I'm not gonna be gaming really it's mainly for work and yeah that's pretty much why I got this Ram gonna be doing the build soon there's gonna be an affiliated link in 

the bottom so if you want to buy it you should get it if you want a normal nice-looking Ram that's not too expensive this is the one it has a lifetime warranty let me see the box let's see I know I saw somewhere is the lifetime warranty yes when the box is safe the middle lifetime warranty and it comes with stickers I wish it was blacked or not white that's not really gonna go with my computer I don't want to touch the bottom part so there it is guys it actually looks 

better than the picture because the actual P PCB II or the actual silicon on it and the actual board itself is they painted it black and it comes black it's not green like in the pictures because I know that may look a little bit cheap .


Patriot VIPRE blackout Rams and this blackout edition and these are two times eight geeks ddr4 3,000 megahertz and it says ready for rise and AMD in watching other reviews and watching other stuff and hearing from forums and stuff like that I would say with my conclusion and everything I would say this is a sweetmeat oh when it comes to when it comes to megahertz for the AMD rising third generation even though they some of them mentioned 

37:33 but okay let's stick to 36 for now now let's unbox them they don't have RGB this is something completely different that I'm doing right now in the Box you get of course two sticks and you get two stickers with Patriot Piper with Patriot by Pullo go now let's open and let's check it out they have a nice I mean they won't say blackout for nothing and the design is really nice let's check this ok so here we go now I understand why it's blackout edition it's completely 

nice the heatsink is completely black and you have the viper logo right here with a bit darker black the top has I would say heat spreader or something like that they kind of do look like some things or something but I think that's for better dissipation of heat without a doubt we're going to place them in a build run some tests for you to check without the XMP turned on and with the XMP on make some conclusions that's about it okay so the benchmarks were basically 

you know one with XMP disabled and one with XMP enabled and we were running everything on the ass rock x5 7tm Pro for now I took them out because they look really cool in this blackout color right I have to admit the design is really slick so if you're basically all suggest these ramps if you're going into non RGB built so if you hate RGB or basically hate is a strong word if you don't like RGB then these ramps are really cool just because of the design I mean 

we're talking about the design right now right yeah so okay they look really nice when you place them in a build and I think they'll look even nicer if there was four of them in populating all the slots on the motherboard now I ran tests in the aida64 memory and cache benchmarks and we were running and on the a stroke motherboard I had the horizon 530 600 X the scores are actually very interesting and you see the difference now between the lower megahertz and 

the higher megahertz and how they affect the transfer the cache and stuff like that without the XMP you can see that the read memory is around 30,000 megabytes per second and the write speed is nineteen thousand megabytes per second the copy is 31 thousand and the latency is 102 point six nanoseconds l1 cache is 1600 gigabytes per second the that's reads the right is almost 

800 gigabytes the copy one is well basically it's almost the same as read and the latency is 0.9 nanoseconds now l2 is 800 gigabits the right one is 767 and we have the copy at 800 almost the same as the read now you see the difference between the read and write speeds so basically these are the results read 550 1000 megabytes per second that twenty thousand megabytes 

difference and as you can see they were running on 3000 megahertz and the right is 29 I would say 29,000 megabytes per second which is 10,000 more copy is 40 7400 so that's like 18 almost 18 and a half make up thousand 18 and a half thousand megabytes per second difference now the latency is lower for the memory by 30 nanoseconds the l1 cache latency is the same as well as the l2 and l3 basically that's it the difference in l1 l2 and l3 is so minimal that you could 

barely notice it so basically you've seen the difference between turning the X and P in a bolt turning it on in the memory with the memory that actually supports higher frequencies and now you might understand why it's good to have something like this I didn't have any problem turning on the exampie and the they work pretty well after the test seven everything was perfectly fine so yeah I mean the tests show everything that they worked nicely at 3000 

megahertz these are the patient Viper black out edition Rams now RGB guys know RGB this time it says here ready for horizon AMD ddr4 technology designed for the latest Intel and AMD platforms XMP 2.0 ready and basically that is it guys this was a small introduction to D patriot VIPRE blackout Edition 2 times 8 gigabytes where XMP turned on they go up to 36 hundred megahertz so check out the links below where you could get these if you're interested in on

 Patriot the VIPRE blackout edition of ddr4 memory this kit here is Rison ready for AMD but it will work with Intel CPUs as well of course and it's a kit of two eight gigabyte modules as you can see right here blacked out you have embossed the VIPRE written on there here are the specs you can pause the screen at any time the first thing that stands out to me of course XMP 2.0 support aluminum heat spreaders the frequency obviously 3000 megahertz and the timing 


17 19 19 19 so CL 17 timings on this one you can see here it's got a pretty nice heat shield on there that aluminum heat shield that's blacked out it looks very nice I mean very aggressive fins at the top you could see those sharp edges there that's very aggressive cool looks obviously very thin you can just imagine these in your machine how it would look pretty darn good I mean they're not RGB obviously that's the whole point of getting this you want it to be blacked out

 but it's there it's stealthy it's sexy it's fast it's fast memory you're gonna see that now coming up in the benchmarks but you know there's a quick 360 look at it so that way you really know what you know you're getting when you open up one of these out of the package and here's another look of it on the motherboard so you can see what I'm talking about so if you get a nice board and it's all blacked out this'll look sweet in there as you can see and those aluminum fins 

they really do dissipate heat very well so good quality and construction there I love it now here's the system that I'm going to be testing it with I did a review on the processor and I'll add the link at the end of the video the motherboard itself the asrock steel legend using the x5 70 chipset they're from AMD you can see there when I first slap the meri in there it sets it up to 2133 but I'll go in through the settings to change that and I'll enable the XMP setting for this 

memory so as you can see they're in memory details it recognizes the XMP profile for this thirty six hundred megahertz at one point three five vaults and the timings at CL 17 so I'll go and load the XMP setting by selecting that in the menu and basically it'll populate all the values for that in the bias in the ufi settings here and once it's set up well there's nothing else to do really you just save your settings and exit out of here I also later on came back and tweak this further

 to overclock the memory of course I'm going to see that later on in the video but here I'm just showing you the profile for XMP that it has now overclocking it like I said all I did later on was come back in after doing my testing of course and changed the DRAM frequency value there from the 3600 megahertz to 37 33 and then I changed the Infinity fabric frequency to match and I had that set up to 1867 and changed the CL timings to 18 22 22 22 and and after doing 

substantial benchmarks it was very stable now going back to putting it at default so at the XMP profile settings that I showed you a second ago I did some testing with it just at defaults first okay and you can see there the XMP settings in Windows 7 here using CPU Z or Zed the tool here shows you the XMP profile has been selected and the benchmarks with a 264 using the memory read write and copy those are the three that I focus on at the top and latency of course for speed so we look at the bandwidth and how this ranks when it comes to reading and you can 

see there how this system performs compared to these other machines with other types of memory in those speeds and I'm very happy to report how well this machine is performing with this memory it's definitely fast high performance memory and I'm very very happy to say that the latency is also very quick ok now overclocking it of course you get a boost and even the latency went up so when I overclocked at the 3733 with CL timings of 18 it still gave it a higher boost obviously the CPU is running faster the bandwidth everything the latency has gone up 

very impressive W Prime is a good example when it calculates the square roots of 1024 million integers here's the score that I got with it without it being overclocked okay so let's just say it came out to a hundred and thirteen seconds to calculate that now when I overclock the memory it knocked off a good five seconds off of those calculations so those five seconds adds up if you're doing a lot of calculations right pass mark doing great here on the rating we're 

concentrating of course on the memory mark okay the memory mark is what I'm looking at and if we look at the memory mark and break this down I'm really looking at the memory read memory right and the latency okay those three scores so let's start with the read here the uncashed read results you can see how it performs there the bandwidth 18 4 4 3 megabytes per second and of course I compare it to other memory modules and then on the memory right you 

can see there 12 four four nine megabytes per second this is memory right uncashed and then on the latency you can see here how fast this benchmark gave it 31 nanoseconds great results again right at the top of the pack now overclocking it of course you get a little bit of a boost on the memory read and write and the latency so that's without question going to be expected but there you have it again what I am trying to say here is that I was able to overclock this stable so 

I ran it for hours I had it running up full steam I had it running on idle of course I had tested it with games and not once that I get a blue screen of death the system was stable like a rock ok so I'm very impressed with the Patriot VIPRE blackout edition 3000 Hertz overclocked it to 3733 without hassle running it stable I tell you it looks great it runs great what else can you ask for I mean it's high quality in construction you can tell that they spent time testing it they stand 

behind their product with limited lifetime warranty no blue screen of death stable easily overclockable well the results on the performance speak for themselves definitely recommend this comment below if you want to see that further benchmarks that I did on the CPU or the graphics card or the motherboard click on one of these other reviews that I did here right now.
