now this is very curved screen not two curves but it's 27 inches of gloriousness okay what yes so this is this is the ace our white screen and this is a curved display 27 inches it's a 1920 by 1080 resolution we're going to be talking about like the little thing how.what from this side is the color off is it and that's okay what can it do can't twist left and right up and down that sort of thing so let's just get right into it so first off we're going to go into the menu actually first off

I will ask to play with this I kept turning it off so it has a button on the back and you press it to turn it on you press it sent it off if you got to commit some computer you just wake up a computer and it was just come on but I'm gonna I click to the right so this way and it brings up this menu right here which is pretty quick you got your contrast you've got your brightness

you've got to cut attempts so ninety-three thousand six two five five fifty five thousand and then user don't move like it sounds like that so under like Calverton to me like the kind of ratio or to see I so it could be that then we've got going down skipped one completely I think this will obviously work if I wasn't clear to computable it should be yeah and yes you can connect it to a TV and that's pretty good as well your own screen display so on-screen display with a higher

position vertical position your on screen display time on and how long it's going to take to carve which 10 seconds it went off right there so and then obviously I've got it connects to HDMI it's got VGA DVI and HDMI so I wouldn't hate him I'm gonna get a lower signal compared obviously connected to a DVI where I guess a full 60 kilohertz out of it as well for the resolution anyway so I'll go down here and let me go and screen this play a little bit longer so I sketch I'll scroll down us and then I'll select it and I've turned it off again see this is the

problem so I'll turn it back on then I'll go back into the menu this so long it takes we've got a solo go there lovely curved screen little bit of bleed into the back of that screen not too much the blacks look pretty strong I've done it again turned it off a lot I thought what's going on turn it back on going a little LED light that comes on as I said you can see little bit of bleed through the screen and then I'm going to click towards me bring up the menu scroll down click towards the right again scroll down to on-screen display then hit to the right at the moment it's at 60

Hertz and then I was just going to boost it up so up and down is where down there's obviously for your - increments and pluses through your plus increments so I'm going to put it up to about 20 seconds and then you got transparency as well so I'm going here and if you've got anything in the background it'll make it like visible as you can see depends on your own preference is how you want your screen to look we'll have it like this naturally for this video I better change it back there we go do that get out of it different name which is Spanish France

Portuguese Tut teach Chinese or tongue wherever is Holland's Italians Italian or Finnish I finish you like Mortal Kombat it got loads of him Russia and polish brats Portugal never heard of that one before but yeah we've got quite a few purple of them different some languages right this is good scroll down to the hammer and a spanner this is where you fix your computer your monitor you got mode say some PC mode game a movie so s movie mode game and PC so PC

know bit brighter gets darker game mode gets McBrayer movie gets a bit more brighter so that all I'm doing is moving forward to move it up and down for this you've got your volume so you've got volume on there we'll just avoiding and see how loud it is so what we'll do is we'll turn it up so max we will try to have with a 3.5 more jack in the back then we've got signal sorceress I said bji DVI and HDMI then we've got aspect ratio 16 point 900 to forty four point three so that's Auto so you've got an auto connect anything in Xbox Playstation anything like

that and it will just switch over for port free resolution Square old-school depends some Scalia or sixteen point nine and one sixteen point now going all confused Moe turned down an aspect ratio for again before again that was down but I'm confused right now back bend down we've got DC our can have it off or on and then we've got to reset the functions on what have you set up and then you've got HV frequency H six or seven point four kilohertz and V that called fifty nine point load Hertz and the mode is normal and it says it down there because you know

relation 1920 by 1080 60 Hertz 15 seconds they should go off which it did as I said on and off with a bottom and we're going to test the sound and we're going to just play some YouTube videos really quickly and see like what kind of clarity you're going to get and then obviously the screen goes down a certain percent so you could be like what that kind of doing whatever if you're doing anything I wouldn't say this would be great for color grading color grading should be a squirt like a proper flat screen and all that sort stuff and everyone keeps complaining

though you know we threw this in the Sun and all that wet stuff today it's raining I'm gonna shut the screen outside I'm not ready anyway oh so this is it's just flat so it looks pretty good flat on but from the side I'm getting a little bit of glare it's not too bad though so okay let's say oh no oh yeah also this screen  now get it now and the link in description down below anyway says ten percent office ed curve monitor an order that sort of

starts us pretty good response times four milliseconds at any for no naps brightness 250 CD over in point two energy class and a so if your business user it'll be good but not really I would say if you're doing color grading and also staff as an amateur level most probably but if you're going to be doing anything that's professional not a 250-pound because it's curved as well you probably get away of it over more straight screen this is more like for TV and plus it's white to go in with aesthetics and stuff but yeah it looks alright it's quite nice everything plugs in from

the bottom and all that that's pretty cool but trying to  you can't really go wrong with it let's go with a YouTube video now and check out how nice is going to look so what I did is I just got quick YouTube video what this is a 4k resolution base obviously being broadcasted in so 2160 okay and you can tell when you put this on a 4k and obviously it's much bigger you can see ordered like bits the colors and all you could just see everything is it's really nice this looks

really clean but it looks a bit washed out it's a it's like it's trying really hard to compensate to to map to 4k kind of thing so from even if I lock this down to not even swing by 1080 resolution aspect it looks a little bit more sharp on so obviously this is 1920 by 1080 a full HD monitor but yeah it looks pretty cool I think it looks really good but we'll get some nice payroll of it from different angles so from here on there straight on screen down spring luck so you can never look and they're simply finger and I'll move down 1920 by 1080 resolution Y so now we can

hear how great these speakers are from the sound of this monitor this is not one of my review that I've done it was meaning description down below anywhere but yeah that's as loud as it goes so my phone is actually like loud up but it's 259 power to get curved screen it's what it's even what able to get cable is quite long got a DVI output HDMI VGA out you've got 23.5 build in ports one blue one green , that's a lie I love chrome bits well anyway so now we're

gonna just get some b-roll shots of all the screen close-up and ass looks why I was just going to quickly just go up Parrilla Street are on the computer real quick just to see what it looks like quite decent why you get quite a bit of real estate on there , it's sharp enough but obviously when you start looking at Asus more premium range lapped laptops monitors then you start to think man it's a bit powerful and stuff now let's see there's not much super sharp but it's sharp enough to do what you really want to do with it that's pretty cool I do like it is is

what it is why yes it's not too bad you probably could work in Illustrator from the lice intermediate it's not like proper professional when you get paid loads of money for it but it is good it's curved screen from this side it looks a bit bland and if you're grading and gradients it's in look a little bit different but so far so good the stand is a bit plasticky nice but I don't really like that but for 250-pound how can you complain anyway on would it be, did you know

that this stream will sink heavily or really well with AMD graphics cards so you got AMD sink or what's it called its called AMD freesync which is their technology a bit similar to end videos syncing technology as well but you can't really remember off the top of my head what it is but yeah it's good to know that AMD this screen will work really well of AMD plus is in the what price bracket for you gaming and obviously this is the gaming monitor as well which I kept
talking about work really which is more than gaming just about.

Acer Gaming Monitor 27” Curved ED273 Abidpx 1920 x 1080 review

a review on the Acer edy 273 now this monitor is a 27 inch curved Full HD monitor and it has a v8 panel to boast now in terms of pricing it can be found on Amazon USA and on Amazon the co 2 UK links will be down in the description in case you're interested now in terms of the specs of the monitor it's got a curved 1800 or display it's also got full HD so that's 1920 x 1080 P resolution it's also got a free sync AMD freesync built in has a quoted full milliseconds response time it has a v8 panel as I previously said and in terms of

inputs it's got HDMI DVI and VGA oddly enough there's no DisplayPort inputs there's also a 3.5 millimeter jack input and outputs and finally there are speakers that are also included which are decent enough for Windows notifications or basic music listening now in terms of those competitors there's actually quite a lot of different monitors there is the AOC 27-inch which can be found for 170 pounds which is really aimed at gamers you've got Yama's 27-inch as well which is a kind of a mid ground between gaming and browsing then you've got the

Samsung and Dell monitors which are really aimed at people who are more looking for a professional video editing or just watching movies and looking at pictures or browsing Facebook or whatever it might be I'll link all of these in description below so that you know of other monitors that are out there in the market which are similar size and/or suit different different types of people now first of all let's talk about the build quality you know the build

quality of monitor is actually very nice and it has a nice white stand white silver stand however the stand it only allows and tilt adjustments and in all Steve I felt that the stand is a little bit wobbly when it comes to actually just using it so if you're going to be keyboard raging or whatnot you might not notice a little bit of a wobble now in terms of the monitor itself as I said it's got a curvature at 1800 curve I don't really notice it all that much when you're sitting

straight up straight ahead but if you do pan around left and right you will notice that there is a lot of curvature and therefore adding a little bit extra to immersion so if you're going to be watching movies or gaming and whatnot it's always useful now in terms of the sides got a three side borderless design which is beautiful and it's got a silver finish around the side as well which is kind of different from most monitors which use a normal map black or glossy black black finish so it's quite nice to see a different looking monitor and it must say I must say it

does look quite nice in comparison to some of the other models as I've seen now around the back of the monitor on a bottom right-hand side you've got a little joystick and this is to access the OSD now I must say out of all the OSTs have gone through this wall is really counterintuitive and even worse so it just doesn't really work out very well now you can see over here that the contrast is a hundred and brightness is a hundred is it shouldn't be always

the case like that it should be actually a much lower 70 odd or 80 it's what I would normally set it at but the reason I'm mentioning about the OSD over here is because it's just a bit counterintuitive if you press down on the bottom it will actually cancel it will actually cancel what you're doing and also switch off the monitor which I've seen which I feel is a bit which bit silly to say the least now in terms of its presets you basically have three separate modes PC game and movie in my opinion I felt that a movie has the best the best sort of colors and overall look to it movie just looked a lot better than the other three other than that you've got if I just

go in here it's really counter into a state enough you have different aspect ratios DCR as well overdrive which you can enable or disable and blue light filter as well other than that other than the model number and the OSD setup and then obviously the contrast and brightness and you can see where you've got a movie mode it basically ramps up the contrast to 100 that's pretty much it through to OSD it's pretty primitive OSD and the look of it is it's not very not very good in my opinion now let's talk about the colors and how the display does now first of all let's talk about colors now in all mostly when I got the monitor out the box and even after I just

played around with the settings a little bit I just wasn't that impressed the colors feel a little bit washed out it feels as something missing and it just doesn't look that great it doesn't look that color accurate then when I put it through a color calibrated because I had one over here I found that the average delt ease around too with the maxdale to you just a sitting under five and so it's not really the most color accurate to monitor out there it's decent enough in order for color editing and whatnot but you will see if you do get the mortar and you do compare it to a nice IPS or VA panel out there some of the monitors that I mentioned terms competitors

you'll find that this monitor looks washed out one other thing I did notice is that is quite dull and at 280 Kelvin it is quite Candela sorry it is quite a dull looking as well so if you've got a bright sunlit room or you've got bright room then you will notice it being not as bright as you might want it to be no matter how much you ramp up brightness and in my example of here I have brightness set at 100 just because I feel that I need that I would have liked it to go a little

bit brighter and it would have worn out the colors potentially a little bit more in terms of the contrast ratio it's got a sensational 4000 in the year 4000 100 to 1 contrast ratio obviously is contrast set to 100 in movie mode and that's what it gets it's absolute sensational in terms of its contrast and it can be seen when you're looking at images the contrast between the road over here and the trees or the sky the background and a mountain really comes out fantastically it's

really up there with some of the best monitors in terms of raw contrast ratio but that doesn't really paint the whole picture unfortunately contrast ratio is only it's only something that can be defined between blacks and whites other than that in terms of how the colors respond to it as well is a completely different aspect so as I said due to its washed out nature the contrast ratio is kind of lost I would have just liked a little bit more accurate colors and flicking through

images over here especially this image over here you just expect the Blues to be just a little bit sharper the Pink's to be also a little bit sharp over here it's very slight and you might not notice it when you get out of the box or if you have no reference monitor to look at but if given the fact I've looked at over a hundred different monitors I can definitely tell you it has a slight washed out look to it so overall colors aren't great contrast ratios fantastic and brightness is decent

finally I want to talk about the brightness uniformity which actually is relatively good top right hand side on my on my monitor has got minus ten point two but given the fact it's a normal consumer grade monitor is absolutely acceptable and it had no sort of procedural problems with a display uniformity so top marks they're from ASA finally it's talking about gaming now it is a sixty Hertz panel out the box however I could factory overclock it as in just overclock it

through the Nvidia control panel and have it is successfully running at 75 Hertz now 75 Hertz obviously do get the you do get the extra the benefit of the refresh rate and therefore less tearing now in terms of overdrive I did notice though it's like ghosting that occurs it will be even more apparent if you play games like fortnight or overwatch then a game like counter-strike I would leave overdrive at its at the on position when you turn off overdrive the response

time on monitor slows down even more and I must say in terms of the overall response time the response time isn't great its its average I would I would be happy in terms of casual gaming in terms of competitive gaming it could be seen as I can lower ranked competitive gaming but if you start gaming a more a higher level then I think you'll find that this monitor is a bit too slow to respond so overall decent for casual gaming I wouldn't pick it over some of the other

monitors I recommended in terms of competitive gaming or just more if you're more serious about gaming it's not really aimed at gamers anyway but nevertheless it's always worth pointing out I'm ourselves very impressed with its input lag at least is perceived input lag it feels very low and ASA are relatively known for creating monsters with low input lag and and this one also seemed at least to be to have a low input it's just this response time that let it down so overall what do I think about the monitor well  I just think the

monitors that I mentioned at the beginning of the video just do a lot better a lot better job overall like let's say da OC that monitor is I'm not better for gamers although its colors and contrast ratio will not match this this ace and monitor the armor is a good all-rounder so it will provide better color accuracy but won't have that curvature finally there's Samsung it's a curved monitor it basically does everything that this Acer monitor does just looks a bit different and has a different stand other than that I would choose that Samsung monitor I'm not sure if

that can be overclocked or not or if there's AMD freesync support like this Acer monitor on top of my head I don't think it does but no it actually does nevermind ignore what it just said so um it does have free sync support so you know let's see if you're a gamer and you're looking for a decent monitor I'll pick the Samsung even though it's just  more it'll be definitely worth it and if you're someone who's just looking for color editing or video editing then this

Dell monitor runs at 75 has AMD freesync and yes it's not the fastest monitor in the world because it's IPS 6 milliseconds response time but overall it will be a much better pick so obviously if you're not interested in gaming you can save yourself a little bit of money and get  very nice or IPS monitor so those are my recommendations and unfortunately I can't see myself recommending this Acer monitor it's a nice motor don't get me wrong but in terms of its color accuracy I just feel that it's it's let down severely its OST is

actually primitive as well in terms of gaming performances response time isn't the best out there so there we go guys having totally dubbed if you've enjoyed this review make sure you give a comment let me know in a comment of what you think of the monitor and favorite share as it always helps the site grow alright guys totally dubbed out bye bye .
