So we are going to look at a 1080p gaming monitor today, which has an IPS panel with a refresh rate of 75 Hz. And I thought that it was really great to have a monitor like this available at this price point. But it turns out that it was actually too good to be true, and this monitor does have some serious issues. Hey guys, I am Siddharth, and this is LG24MP59G review. So the assembly of this monitor is pretty simple, just take it out of the box, fix this part into the

base of the stand, and then fix the stand to the monitor. You get a power adapter which does not have a brick at center which is nice, an HDMI cable inside, and this clip for cable management, you also get the drivers in a CD if you have an optical drive. The overall look of this monitor is probably the best thing about it. It has a very smart and sleek look for a gaming monitor, and it doesn’t look boring or cheezy, so it’ll also for very well in an office. It is fairly thin, but it

doesn’t have a bezel less design that some other monitors in this price range have, which I don’t mind, but thinner bezels do look nice. This monitor doesn’t support VESA mounting, which sucks because the stand doesn’t offer any kind of adjustment whatsoever. And being able to adjust, at least the tilt angle is something I consider necessary. For the inputs, you have VGA, HDMI, and DP, so you can run it with older and newer computers, you of course have a port for power, and you also have a 3.5mm jack for audio with headphones or speakers. This

monitor doesn’t have inbuilt speaker, which is what I prefer. The monitor is controlled completely by the joystick under the panel, and LG has one of the best ways to control the settings on your monitor, so this system works really well, and you also have the LG software to adjust the settings if you prefer that way of doing it. This is a 24 inch full HD IPS display, which is nothing special, but it does have a refresh rate of 75 Hz, which wasn’t available in this price

range earlier. 75Hz is a decent step up from 60Hz, it is very noticeable even when moving your mouse on the screen, and while gaming it also makes a difference, and you do get a taste of higher than 60 Hz refresh rate, without spending much, which is a nice trend to see in newer full HD monitors, and it also doesn’t require a very powerful GPU. But you cannot overclock it, even a little, it just shows that the display signal is out of range, even at 80 Hz, and I used to

frequently overclock my BenQ 60Hz VA panel to 75Hz while gaming, so 75Hz refresh rate is not that special. This is an IPS panel, which covers over 99% of sRGB color gamut, but out of the box the color accuracy was an issue, and I had to calibrate this by adding 10% to the blue channel, and reducing 3% of the red channel to get rid of the warmer than neutral color tone on the display. So this can be used for content creation, but you’ll have to know how to

calibrate the display, and have a reference point like my 4K IPS monitors at the back, but most people buying this wouldn’t have that, so you can just try my settings and see if it feels more neutral. But after doing all of that, the colors do seem to be pretty nice and saturated, and it does deliver to the expectations of an IPS display. 250 nits of brightness is plenty, and I keep it at around 30%, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio and very good viewing angles, which this monitor

has are typical for IPS panels. It has a 5ms of grey to grey response time, which is fine for gaming, and it also has a 1ms response time mode with motion blur reduction, which makes the display visibly flicker, and also makes the games and moving objects on the screen look worse than how they look with motion blur, so that is useless, and there are other gaming features like black stabilizer which brightens the darker parts of games which I personally never used in 2

years with these monitors at back. But this monitor allows you to display a crosshair on the screen, so if you want to take those no scope shots in games, you can cheat without using a marker or sticking something on the monitor, so this is the only gaming feature that I think can actually be useful. And it also supports AMD FreeSync, which you can take advantage of if you are running an AMD GPU. And now lets come to the biggest issue this monitor has, and that is

the terrible backlight bleed on both of its sides. Now, IPS panels are known to have some IPS glow, but this is extraordinarily terrible, and it is pretty noticeable whenever you have anything dark going on the screen, and you do notice it while playing games or watching dark scenes in videos, and I really didn’t expect this from LG. It is not noticeable in general desktop operation, and it is also not visible when you don’t have dark scenes in games, but it is

disappointingly bad when you see it, and this is something that you’ll just have to get used to, if this is going to be your primary monitor. There’s also two bright white spots on the panel, and you also see faint vertical lines in orange and blue colors, which doesn’t bother me, but it is noticeable. And all these issues are not because I received a defective unit, because if you check out the reviews of this on Amazon, you’ll see that other people are also facing these issues. One

issue that does seem to be present on my unit specifically, is a dead pixel that I noticed one day after the return window was closed, and while you can get dead pixels with any display, I’ve gone through around 8 or 10 monitors including 4K monitors, and none of them have had a single dead pixel out of the box, so take that as you will. So overall, I don’t know if I can recommend this monitor. While I think that it offers good display quality and features for the

price, and 75Hz refresh rate on its IPS panel with its sleek design are nice, you will just have to consider whether the issues I talked about are something that will be deal breaking for you. If this is going to be your primary monitor, then I would recommend searching for alternatives, and see if you can get the same feature set without these issues. This could be the best value monitor for someone who wants to do some content creation alongside gaming, but I haven’t

done much research on monitors in this price range, and I would really recommend going for higher resolution monitors, if you can afford that, because now the prices are not as bad as they used to be. So that was it for this review, if you did decide to buy this monitor, I would recommend doing that with my affiliate links in the review description, give this review a thumbs up I it helped you understand the pros and cons of this monitor.

LG 24mp 59 G 24-inch monitor that possess few exciting features especially for gamers who are on limited budget first thing it's an IPS panel display with a 75 ads refresh rate which is slightly faster than the conventional 60 Hertz model available at this price range so users desiring a mixture of good color accuracy and budget refresh rate will appreciate this on the second main attraction is the inclusion of facing technology to reduce the tearing effect

occurring in fast-paced scenes that is when the monitors refresh rate and the PCs framerate go out of sync and you should own an AMD graphic chip to enjoy this option on the last feature LG's one millisecond motion blur reduction mode for further enhancing your gameplay experience with minimal blurring keep in mind this mode doesn't work in conjunction with free sync option 1080p on 24 inch screen size results in a moderate pixel pitch size of zero point two

seven millimeter which is the distance between each individual pixel on pixel density is quite decent at 93 PPI that is 93 pixels per inch so texts or any content produced on the screen will be reasonably sharp when viewed at certain distance the actual response time is 5 millisecond great to gray and one millisecond motion blur reduction mode doesn't measure through 1 millisecond response time present in the faster TN panels and I believe awkward gamers must

be aware of this it uses a 6-bit IPS panel which is standard in most budget models and supports sixteen point seven million color shades but covers only 72% of NTSC color gamut as a result this monitor is not suited for professionals who demand perfect color representation but to regular users all those who are coming from the poorer peon display will see a tremendous difference in color quality by choosing this model inside the box we get a HDMI input cable a plastic clip that fits behind the monitor stand for managing the cable slider under power

adapter the power circuit is built outside of the monitor on the monitor draws its power using this external power brick the matte-coated v-shaped stand looks sleek and modern with red accent running around the borders on the base portion is metallic and occupies a small footprint and the monitor is placed on a desk the screen height from the disk surface is adequate for most users and I remained here this model lacks eye adjustment feature apart

from the elegant design the stand also holds the screen firmly without causing any serious wobbling when subjected to moderate vibrations the stand allows only adjustments for back and forward tilt the entire body construction is made using plastic the frame surrounding the screen is glossy finished and most part of the rear panel is done with matte surface the monitor looks absolutely slim when look at side or top angles due to the use of external power security

and with its beautiful stand design the monitor offers a stylish appearance when placed on the desk of the overall build quality is just average and you should avoid moving it around very frequently anyway we can't complain on it given this price point this model doesn't support thin bezels or zero frame design elements on the thick plastic frame surrounds the screen and makes it unsuitable for multi-monitor setup The Scream service is coated with hard matte

finish that effectively cut the reflections when used under arched light conditions at the same time it eats away some of the color vibrancy contrast level and also affecting the text quality which is not the case with glossy surface LG placed all the i/o ports facing towards us instead of downside and is very easy to reach when connecting the cables it comes with a VGA input a single HDMI input DisplayPort under 3.5 mm audio jack this model lacks two essential features

which may be disappointing for some potential buyers first one it doesn't have all mount option as you see here no visuals present or that ear panel and the second one is the absence of integrated speakers which you may use it in emergency cases home screen settings menu is controlled through this single joystick button placed under center bottom Bissell buttons gave good feedback when navigating on the menu system is quite simple to use on within few

minutes you can take complete control over the monitor but I heard one question keep asking myself about this single joystick approach how long will it survive if used frequently and then LG's own tagline comes before me life 3 is good so let's hope for good the down phase power button glows in weight color after powering on and it's not distracting even in a complete dark room you can completely turn it off using the on-screen we know if you still feel disturbing

when watching movies when you dig inside the middle you will notice a lot of gaming enhancement options to a so different type of game genres and this blacks tablet mode is really a worthy option as it significantly better in the dark areas of a scene and is very useful while gaming or editing photos and videos to bring out more details from the dog portions the LG's split screen feature is definitely worth noting here as it immensely enhances multitasking and

switching between windows is considerably reduced when using this option it's really a solid feature which I'm sure you will start loving it once you begin using it out of the box colors are mostly accurate with right amount of saturation on delivers good image quality it doesn't demand better color calibration from user side unlike the video monitors but I noticed a blue tent when screen is filled with white color envoy shades seems more blueish due to this I corrected it to some extent by lowering the blue value in the user preset option I used gamma

setting set to option 1 as it produced a well balanced image after using been qzw 2775 via monitor for few months I immediately felt the content producer on this IPS monitor to be less brighter I greatly missed the deep contrast ratio and rich black levels of the via panel each IPS monitor will exhibit certain amount of back light leakage known as IPS flow which is much evident when we will dock content in a dark environment new angles were excellent as you expect from an IPS monitor and colors are consistent on all angles there will be some contrast

loss when viewed at extreme angles but still current stability is maintained at all sets the maximum brightness of LG 24mp 59 is only adequate and at times the display fields less brighter when used in strongly later on 1920 by 1080 resolution on 24-inch size is quite adequate in pixel density and you won't spot individual pixels when you maintain certain working distance on the text reproduction of this model or default scaling is not too small or

overly large games works gorgeous with more accurate colors on this IPS panel and combined with 75 adds refresh rate it give a smooth start a free experience I didn't notice any serious input lag or ghosting in my entire gaming session users who prefer good color reproduction over fast refresh rates can happily grab this monitor but this model is still far away from butter smooth gaming experience provided by 144 Hertz monitor free sync was a great addition to this

model and give joy a free game play by perfectly matching the frame rates of my RX 570 GPU to the monitors refresh rate in this free demo video which is released by AMD shows us the benefit of free sync option with freezing off you can notice the jagged edges in the windmill blades on the moving grid bar and even amplifies more once the speed increases with freezing on those jagged edges entirely vanishes and the moment was completely stuttering I know it's odd fiema camera to capture the actual result so please take my words the difference is very

much noticeable after enabling freezing on please don't mind about the ghosting effect it's due to my camera are not actually happening in the rear this model does not use pulse width modulation method but all brightness levels on the screen is flicker free until we enter the one millisecond mode the screen flickers badly once we enabled the RTG or blood reduction model so gamers who are sensitive to such flickering should make a note of this coming to conclusion

well that LG 24mp 59 G is a decent buy for regular users on budget gamers and offers allowed for the money with many useful features especially the free sync and split screen feature but still 75 Hertz refresh range may seem bit slower to our core gamers but budget gamers still appreciate it as driving 1080p at sound effects is not too taxing for a budget gaming system and here are the some of my concerns with this model first one the display is not very bright and

also lacks HDR option 1 millisecond blur reduction mode adds a lot of flickering to the which may cause eye strain to some users and finally the color temperature is not accurate even after the edges banter .

LG 24MP59G-P 24-Inch Gaming Monitor review

a brand new hardware review today with a monitor and since it's a monitor is no point in actually having a green screen on the background because I can pretty much get the best effect possible by pointing a camera at the monitor itself this is the LG 24 MT 59 G sometimes - P which is a horrible name for a monitor it's very easy to confused with the 24mp no I think that 1:24 vqc no I think that was an MP - there's another monitor just like like identical to this one

and because they're both on sale now they're the same price only that one doesn't have DisplayPort this one does and I got this mantra with my own money because I have a day job you do the Sun pay the bills I wish it good but it's yeah and because I got it today why not review it I mean I've looked a lot more the internet for review of this thing none of them exist because people like Linus tech tips and other stuff they don't review stuff that's you know this

cheap they generally review stuff that's making kind of wonder who are they the main source of meth for Canada who knows maybe I don't know I I'm just making jokes I'm not anyway accusing them of producing meth do not send hitman after me oh good they're gonna set a headband for me I'm gonna die well let's get on with the actual review of this thing and see what good it is because according to the internet you don't actually know and what would I say

you don't actually know well it's because when you look at product reviews of this thing on the web you generally don't get us accurate sense of what exactly it is capable of because and here's something you should probably know and you should know like be attained pay attention the people that review things on Amazon on different sites of storage sites they are generally people

that bought these things they are not experts necessary so when they say hmm it doesn't seem to work with the kibo they are actually saying that mmm it doesn't seem to work with the cable that I have which is HDMI one and not the HDMI test that comes with it so yeah that's the reason why wouldn't work with other HDMI cable because it has a different standard than your one that allows you to use free sync so yeah that's one of the main draws of this is a monitor that is 75 Hertz and is capable of using free sync if you have a Radeon graphics card

built from huh basically anything that uses the the new standing nothing standard the the CD you know what was called the the thing they built at least 6000 series the 7000 series and onwards yeah the graphics core next GCM yeah that was think all those video files like involve using free sync which is a method of more accurately allowing you to synchronize the frames that are being output by the video card with the monitor itself it's not this thing like vsync does

something else vsync locks the maximum maximum frame rate you output to the top end of the monitor and they still may not mesh well with each other that's that's one of the problems that's why g-sync and freezing were made free sync that does basically gay opposite it tells the monitor hey you don't display something until I have a free look at me do not display did you just display no you didn't you know good good good now display this now that's what that's

what free sync does g-sync doesn't even matter because it has a module built into it and I believe actually has lower latency I gotta be honest I don't have the proper tools to do a full professional review of this monitor I did not have color accuracy testing method so I did not have a high-speed camera to actually test well how well it works at high speeds I did take some footage with this camera you sing it now in the background it is wretched absolutely wretched I

cannot move anything on the screen without it just becoming an horrible blur and that's not because of the monitor like what I was seeing on the monitor was still looking good but on the camera because it's 50 frames interlace meaning 25 frames a second real frames it does not look good so I'm sorry but I cannot give you proper footage of this month or working at high speeds or I cannot give you a accurate assumption of how well it displays color I can't just tell you my

experience in which is probably what this review is gonna be going to boil down to so let's get on with the details of it this is a twenty three point eight inch monitor and not sure how inches work because LG seems the thing that twenty three point H is the same as twenty four they even wrote it on the box as being 24 it's not it's twenty three point eight with it it's point two per inch so it's not that big I'm guessing it's maybe maybe it's the same thing you know so it's

bigger than three inches like the monitor next what is just twenty three inches and the difference is kind of non smoke that one by the way is a bank you something rather with a ESP panel that's kind of an old not sure exactly 100% what kind of IPS panel it's using it's an LG one I'm not it may be one of the newer ones like well no it's a new one because it's 75 Hertz display but I got accurately tell you exactly the precise type of display it is using currently

because I couldn't find it it's usually in the indeed manual I don't think it was in the manual sadly well I checked but I couldn't find it but important thing is that the display can output pretty much 99 plus percent of the srgb spectrum well the gamut and I'll get in get on that soon and yet the most important feature this thing has well one of the reasons this there is a negative form is that it has a refresh rate of 75 Hertz now if you're a younger person you have not seen

monitors with more than 60 Hertz in your life if you're an old geezer like me you remember back when month or CRT ones went all the way up to 85 routinely 75 Hertz was the baseline you would use for one of those monitors 60 was going to you eyesores 85 that was even better but hey I'm not and don't have a 95 Hertz monitor yet but hey I'm getting like at least I'm back 75 I'm back to the baseline of what is your T monitor could do now is it noticeable because

there's a very fine difference between 60 and 75 it's just 15 frames a second so is it actually no small well it depends there are some scenes like really small ones where you know you have a lot of particles like snow or ashes or something blowing in the wind quickly you do actually notice the difference in fluidity I would have wanted to try and do an accurate side by second person between month or one month or two by cloning you out with a month or one - hundred - but

here's the thing I could only do that by making this month or look wretched because it would be outputting at 75 Hertz on both windows or not to let me actually output that different Hertz on each of them which is kind of sad and so the the experiment would've been completely futile which is sadly also the reason why I couldn't properly test the difference between response rates of this one and this one though from what I've been using until now they kind of flow serve the

same I mean they're both IPs they're both quick enough IPS screens I haven't had issues with ghosting on either of them in normal working conditions now though 75 Hertz are very very useful because well no wait first very first first first we have VA the inputs this thing it's HDMI how much it is running right now I've been using it to the HDMI Airport it also has DisplayPort which I have not tested with yet I don't have a cable for it I am planning a doing a

separate video where I compare the implementation of freesync from HDMI with a one from direct input from a part from DisplayPort direct input DisplayPort same thing it also has VGA which I won't be using because there is no point in to what no point to using VGA currently so has the an audio jack if you want to output sound via the HDMI already goes for this plate fork works too and also I believe I wrote something here but I forgot what it was oh yeah that's it something about scaling I'm gonna get that soon yeah the reason why I got this mattress

particular is because it has both hdmi and displayport and i've again from people that have written reviews I have read that there are problems with them with free sync through HDMI or with 75 Hertz monitors that run through just HDMI namely that unless you enable free sync it will not run at 75 Hertz and it may not even run in 75 Hertz on non aim the cards also you could not actually enter in the BIOS in any non operating system type screen if you didn't have

the free sync enable or you were using it on the on with 75 Hertz enabled but on a Nvidia card and I want to avoid that as much as possible so this is why I got the mantra that also has a split board and the belief at 12 if HDMI has a limitation that maybe at least I can use the display port and circumvented well I don't have to like them internals people were wrong about the air monitor where this one just has different connections because also has DisplayPort and doesn't

exhibit any of those issues it runs perfectly at 75 Hertz people want a free sync through HDMI it works in the BIOS it works over it it just works it's it's what I would have said it worked out of the box but you know I've had issues with with the graphics card when I install it right where it didn't work like my system didn't work at all well when I installed this mantra I did not hot plug it even though HDMI is hot pluggable the the video card would not output anything to the monitor this one or the other one and it would just still at a parade meaning that the fans were

going 100 percent or close to it or very high and was just not do anything it would boot in the window so I think the huge boarding the windows but he didn't actually display anything so it was kind of annoying after I got in the other PC and showed the this PC that yeah the monitor works it out of shame decided to cooperate and now it's been working fine as long as I don't actually move it because it's kind of I'm pointing a chin you can next year I mean it's about time so let's get to the most important thing first freesync does it work well yes it does it it

absolutely does I've tested it in as many games as I could in as many situations I could I tested this in half-life 2 because honestly there are only a few handful of games where I had trouble with the screen tearing those were half-life 2 because it was running at over 200 frames a second by the way the half-life 2 is capped at 299 frames a second so it's at least not gonna burn out any video cards by yeah you know over overexerting them and I also have troubles in older

games like severance Elite of Darkness which I didn't actually test on this one because I don't have an install right now and I couldn't get it but I did this start in several other games that exhibited some issues with wood tearing and freesync does alleviate those problems as long as you are in the Refresh range that is enabled in three sync namely between 40 40 and 75 Hertz this monitor does not have low framerate compensation meaning that if it drops below 40 the free sync option will shut off by the way the free sync option can just be enabled through the

menu like under game adjustments free sync it comes with it off by default in case you have an Nvidia display but once it's all it's basically just on forever like in the display and you can disable and enable it on the fly through the AMD Catalyst then it'll work it'll take a few seconds for it to kick in or kick off but it will just work so that's a very important thing to note but there is the issue of you need to keep your game between 40 and 75 frames a second and

honestly that shouldn't be that much of a problem I actually had to turn up the detail in games like Rainbow six siege because in exterior shots it made that below 60 but in interior shots that would jump over to 100 in some areas so I turned out the detail to 4x msaa so it will rabbit slower so that the effect would be more noticeable without enabling the vsync vsync is an option you can enable vsync and you will be kept at a maximum of 75 frames a second meaning that

the month or any video card to free sync and vsync will do their best to cooperate and try display the exact frames that you are outputting and it is displaying now if you - vsync does add some latency I cannot tell you how much I do not have the tools to measure the latency again Highschool a camera it's just a camera it can do even 30 frames a second normally the 60 would have been better could have probably let me do that test but I don't actually have one the the

phone itself can't really do 60 frames a second 1080p that well I mean in terms of accuracy would frame up it it's it's still a really real tiny phone but it still looks better in camera sometimes that's why I queried some of the video with the phone that you may be seeing from time to time in the background when I have to cut this and make it seem a bit sim a CMOS so I wouldn't say that vsync adds so much so much overhead in terms of ladies it is unplayable with

it it is still playable I still have not a noticeable appreciation my ability to play video games do again and not what you'd call a twitch shooter I am NOT the eSports kind of person I don't count my my success in the world average games via my actions per minute I just played them for fun which I know is kind of a very very unusual thing so um three sync works that's basically what have to say oh yeah there was the thing about the free sync accommodation for

borderless mode borderless mode is a bit of a strange thing you don't actually output the you don't see the output of the Herschel padas you're locked to what the Windows desktop managers thing can do not to what the game engine can do so there is a bit of an issue there I read up on the Internet which means it's probably wrong that freesync does work for borderless mode I cannot tell you for certain because they is not airing with or without it but

there is a bit more of the kind of you know stirring with you sometimes get with vsync if we think my weight yet the freezing does help with the decreasing starter that you may sometimes encounter when you just enable vsync even that would do that test with the windmill that shows you basically how well it works how well both vsync works both with free sync enable in being disabled and vice versa I tried to do that test again and but manually in gta5 then I did get some results some of them I can see some of the phone footage where I tried to enable some

stirring by disabling free sync and putting the some motion on the video and it I did get some some tearing there and I didn't actually need to just by enabling enabling free sync again I have been told why I've been told by people that actually have necessary tools to test out that freezing may add some bit of ghosting I honestly I have not been able to confirm this because I don't have again the proper tools to actually take a snapshot that is that fine of a single frame

but I did not notice any visible ghosting when the monitor is set to its default standard operating methods with free sync enabled it does however feature ghosting if you set the response time too high by default it is it has a system for compensating for for response time by default set and medium you can set it to off and when you set it off it it feels a bit sharp here I'm not sure exactly if it's something you can see on the background because I may try to insert

this but it felt a bit sharp here with it off with it in the medium OD at work just fine and when you set it too high and the high setting it rises space to draw as fast as possible it will do it without actually and properly cleaning the screen first so that's when you get tearing and no part that's when you get some ghosting so you see an afterimage of things moving but in the medium mode it actually works out just fine this photo monitor has the exact same problem if

you said it would both problem eight survey it's how they're built if you want faster drawing but without the advantage of you know everything being wiped you can said that you can enable that otherwise your well you're fine with what it does by Center by standard this has a five millisecond refresh millisecond you know what time between drawing something deleting it and running anyone you know the greater gray or something response time it has a one

millisecond mode it's called a blur reduction though it is incompatible three sync and it's quite easily noticeable wire is income battle well it should be actually what I recorded in this video it was clearly visible on the any little display on the camera that the screen was being strobe like the the LEDs behind the panel were being strobe on and off on and off on and off in an attempt to reduce blur and yeah it did reduce blur but the strobing effect was incredibly noticeable it it

for me it was jarring and I wouldn't use that like in any circumstance yeah blurring was less noticeable but no it they just look horrible the camera however does not seem to have picked that up I mean I I watched a video a while ago and it still looked like a normal like the normal image so yeah sort of it seems that the sensor can take up these row being the LSD can display it on it but in the end it just can't actually properly create the video that will show you what you

should what you should have seen which is why I really really want to get a new camera one day maybe next year in two years apart from that it also has something called a black equalizer which is something that is enabled only to each EMI according to the manual oh by the way you may have seen going back to fishing a bit because it's important some of you have pointed out

that this does not support freezing to HDMI because it says so on the bottom of the site on of the screw of the monitor of the LG site that HDMI that freezing is only available through HDMI through part through DisplayPort that's not correct that's maybe there because every other monitor net a couple of years only had free sing through to DisplayPort but this one does support it through HDMI no says VGA VG does not support free sync it's an analog standard so maybe maybe it was a typo maybe directed there by accident but it it absolutely works

through HDMI I should know I've been using it through HDMI for a month now going onward there is the black equalizer which is only an HDMI thing it says so in the in the manual it doesn't seem to be available for 4 DisplayPort what it does is it makes the screen darker if you set it too low so with the lower is the blacks I think with something if you said it the high it's the default the default one a little of blackness you have in the in the contrast ratio you set in the

color profile go set oh by Doh it does come with the default color profile which I found a bit too dark so I just made my own yeah the thing with the darker black sort of a seemed pleasant at first like it can make movies seem a bit you know more clear it doesn't really compensate for the fact that you're still looking at an sRGB monitor it's not it's not really well you know HDR wide gamut or something like that it's not a noisy screen but it also because the blackness isn't

actually created by lowering the light of just a black spots is just darkens everything near them you also lose detail in that and those dark areas for example you have the color greeting like maybe it's it's a dark it's it's an it's a forest at night and it's what but led by a blue moon you're gonna lose all the green in that picture but it won't look darker but you'll lose all the windows just look blue from the moon it's it's afraid of that I really don't want to make also you have the

the black level setting which you can actually set the amount of highlighting that the the colour black will have in the in the display by default it's set to 50% so frightening half but you can set it to be either higher or lower depending on you preference the reason why you will say to the lowest thing possible is what you're playing something like Rainbow six siege against characters that are wearing wearing all black and dark environments it'll be easier to notice them if you

set it to basically nothing but I honestly don't like it because it just makes everything else look washed out on mediums and the standard setting it looks just fine so now let's get to the 99% srgb as I said I cannot test it but from what I've seen it's basically kind of the same gamut that the air monitor has and I'm okay with what that one does I got the other month or a couple years ago when I still using DTN that now died and from when going from DPN to this when I was just blown away that the video I was working on using the TN looked just horrible on the

IPS screen because it didn't the IPS could actually display all the colors so some things were just horrible like my face oh my god my face was horribly colored started using collaboration since then well not in this video because I don't well maybe a bit let's see how it works in post so is 99 plus percent srgb good for professional work now it depends on actually what kind of professional work you're doing if you're doing what I do yeah it's it's no problem it's no issue

srgb is what everybody has you won't have any problems with it if you're actually working on high in photography I mean photographer for for magazines or for people that know what photography is not people that bought a camera and are now super duper photographs professionals that may not be enough well I know it's not enough srgb is not enough for accurate proper print level high quality photograph like super professional work but again this

is a month or take us around well it says  which is scanner yeah that's that's around what it costs you're not gonna get a professional level grade screen for hundred bucks those cost and they are manually calibrated in the factory and they're usually made by a easel or something like that they nineteen that proposed sRGB is fine if you're not going to make Lord of the Rings if you're not going to great movies that are made to

be shown on the cinema it'll work just okay there'll be no problem with it it's fine no issues whatsoever but again if you do want to make a magnum opus of color and variety that will be displayed in the Louvre get a more expensive monitor that actually has HDR because each year is a thing and this doesn't have a scare it's it's a really kind of okay i PS happiest cheaper IPS panels have come a long way since the ages of them costing a billion dollars now on to the other

thing oh yeah if you don't particularly if you have problems with seeing colors this monitor has quite a lot of options for you you can set colors both in RGB mode like red blue green and also you can set them in these six color variants you know see on magenta yellow the other ones you can set them individually so you'll have the exact tropic are you proper color palette you want what's has color weak the small meaning that you can set it to be more properly in tune to your inability to see a certain color like it will have that by default the options also let you oh yeah it

comes with a software a software that you can install it's optional it allows you to use the multiple displays on the same monitor you can use it to basically split this monitor into several displays like side by side picture in picture and all sorts of stuff that's come with many default presets for coloring and lighting but oh yeah and for game modes do not actually enable those because one of them is the strobing low you know the low the blur reduction mode which will

disable freezing will have enabled again and it's kind of a pain because you basically it's kind of a pain okay no I didn't actually mention any of the physical characteristics of it I'm still not gonna I'm gonna get in a moment two things I like no further note first is that there is a bit of a bleed like IPS spells sometimes have a light bleeding and there is some of it in this corner a bit it's really only noticeable if you're watching a completely black scene and it's not all that

disturbing if well if it's just black and that and some detail there you may lose the detail but if it's something brighter yeah you won't have that much problem it's not a big problem and again it will change depending on well it differs from panel to panel from monitor to monitor and the other thing is that it does have one it certainly has one that pixel it's it's right there it's near the Battle of screen it's not in the middle of the screen it's near the middle of the screen

and it is going to wrap in same but I'm gonna try and make it a separate video where I try to remove that that pixel to revive it or break it back to life hopefully without ruining the monitor I I have seen that there are methods so-called methods on the internet that alike you revive a dead pixel on monitor it may work it may not I'm gonna document it and maybe hopefully with the money I make from that video get a replacement because I probably I'm probably gonna

break this by trying it hopefully it won't happen if you're an enthusiast of of our games you know like any older game that's not running in widescreen you'll be happy to know that this thing does come with well I'm gonna actually show you you can set the volume if you have a year you have something you know headset good put in TD Jack of the the monitor you can see the volume there oh this thing you probably can see it but it says aspect ratio original by default

is set wide you're gonna have to go into a game that is not not sixteen by nine you know any DOSBox game will do and you will then have game mode the module and tell hey you're not in the right resolution not in the rate right aspect ratio that's when you go to that menu and that the ratio part that was way out will be now usable and you said that from white racial and bam you will get games that will work on their proper proper aspect ratio that will not happen if you

have a GPU display scaling on I kept it on at first because I thought hey the GPU can do it right now GPU display scaling on irradiance seems to be a bit borked some reason they sometimes just won't work something else at this port on Radeon from time to time is the what going matter freesync a bit the frame way to limit ever it in some games it will work like I try to set it to 70 70 frames a second in half-life 2 and it work like it were flawlessly with freezing enabled I

was getting 70 frames no tearing basically no lag it was just amazing but in games like Rainbow six siege and the one actually tried it first on the SWAT 4 it did not work like the the frame winter was not working and it was still spiking over the limit of freesync and going into Terran territory which was kind of sad so what we have left on this thing oh yeah the physical characteristics of it it's got one of those antique anti-glare coating on it so it's impossible to

clean if you get it dirty with any categories don't eat anything greasy next to it ever and when you clean it be careful also use microfiber I didn't I the first day I got this I've managed to get it dirty now celebrating and things happen and now for the stand itself this thing I'm not sure exactly what you can see it on the camera it's it's not the best not completely the worst it's you tell me if it's shaking it is kind of shaking a bit also each you're gonna type like a maniac you

may have some shake to it but for the most part it stands still I really wish it had a bigger like arm connecting the stand to the device itself and maybe a bigger base that you know is not just a v-shape it's more of a round thing well this thing has a rounder thing but it still shakes from time to time so it's really not that the more mountains were gigantic and had stands the size of your doubled size of your head those things never ship those things were solidus right we need

to go back to those or just get month or arms and both them down to the desk I think this has a vase amount I shouldn't even check behind see if it has a base amount it may have not exactly sure don't actually care I'm not planning on actually bolting anything to it anytime soon one thing that is that this is actually quite a lot thinner than the other one mostly because the power brick is not in the power delivery system is not inside it it's in the power brick like right next to

the cable right on the cable the cable is quite short by the way also comes with an HDMI cable is also quite short so you probably want to keep keep the maunder too far away from a power outlet or from your from your computer I'm guessing well that's pretty much all I had written down all the areas on this thing I had written down about the monitor let's see freesync again if we sink works we add the luminosity it's 215 it's which is it's kind of on the low side like I've

seen monitors go down all the way to 200 but still it's it's okay again you're not gonna get HDR here though honestly something like 300 or 300 350 would have been better but again that's and that's not what the panel can deal with since it's more of a cheaper panel but again it's it's 75 Hertz that you get real 75 Hertz not interlaced or anything and it works so like I said in the freezing range from 40 to 75 oh did I mention the I mention that this thing doesn't have low

frame accommodation right low framing compensation is when the at first I thought that the driver was responsible for this but now it's the former of the maunder it's the actual motor itself that I believe asks for a second frame when that when the frame it goes below what you can do what it needs to sustain an image it'll ask for a second frame for a clone of the frame which is displayed and display it again so it will basically double its it's apparent refresh rate

but still keep the same frame rate it it doesn't do that the juicing monitors all do that they have that enabled through the what you call the g-sync module and newer monitors that sportfishing do have that option this one does not and c14 that the blur reductions is not something I would use it's a strobing effect that's kind of annoying the ghosting on response life yes I've said that

black levels let's see black level equalizer it has hdmi displayport and VJ like i said i'm gonna try and do a different video with how free sync works between hdmi and displayport it's got 99% srgb which it's so srgb it's it's not gonna blow your socks off if you had a CRT monitor because I think not policy RT monitors had 100% srgb so we're still playing catch-up up until quantum dots and HG are no leads he aspect ratio you should disable GP stealing free sync

yeah keep unity it had some kind of problems which they might it doesn't I see borderless mode yeah I covered that one color weakness covered the multi you know partition monetary support in the software it's ten short cables although bleed and yeah basically that's it what I recommend is monitor yes it works unless you go crazy because it may have one that pixel your favorite part of the screen it's it's an excellent monitor for the price it's got DisplayPort it's got HDMI it will work with either it works with HDMI better than I carted would like Marshburn interlude I'm happy with it unhappy with my purchase I kind of wish I could afford a 27-inch

one though yeah since maybe not oh yeah part of me the most important thing I didn't mention this is 1080p it's 1080p so the Tony 7 each one would have been better like bigger it would have been bigger but the pixels on 1080p would have been a bit more noticeable than they are now I'm guessing oh yeah this is probably the biggest size you would want for a 1080p monitor any bigger and the pixels like you'll see the pixels individual pixels when you're looking at it at close range so yeah it's it's probably fine do you think idea is that it's a good month or at Worlds I've

not had problems with it apart from when I install the D video cards died for a moment or two my tenant sort of got back and now works it's a monitor it works it's functional the 75 Hertz may be quite good for you because it has a refresh range while a freesync range that goes from 40 to 75 that's that's 35 34 35 from the second 35 frames of room we already have there that's more you would get on a 60 frame freezing mother much more it's it's quite good yeah I'm

happy with my purchase and if you get one let me know how your experience is with it so far I've not have problems but it but hey you know maybe there is something I miss then maybe you'll run into something that well I will encounter later on I again I wish I had better tools to actually do this with you properly but hey yeah I got to do what I can with the things I have and suddenly the D phone and that camera is all that I can afford right now sadly and again I'm

gonna do a video about the different freezing implementations to display board HDMI and I'm gonna see about getting rid of that what that one that pixel which is sputtering oh yeah one more thing because this is a gaming monitor does have a crosshair mode that lets you enable a quarter on the screen it's kinda useless unless you're playing games they don't have the crosshair but in that it's fine good .
