Quiet and Intelligent Auto Fan for near-silent operation"hello and welcome, EVGA s600 be 600 watt 80 plus bronze certified power supply  what is this why should you watch and why should you care in short if you are looking for a higher-end 600 watt power supply for either an older machine that you have that needs a new one or you are custom building a new machine then stop you've come to the right place because for  this is an incredible value for the money this power supply provides all the power and all the cables you need for any low level or mid level

computer system that you want to add up to - graphics cards - now I'm going to detail the power connectors in a minute but just to be clear if you are looking for something that will power to rx for 70 or 480 cards or even two gtx 1070 cards this has enough power to do that just fine one of the main features of this power supply is the 80 plus bronze rating what does that mean it means that it is at least 85% power efficient in the middle level power bands where your computer is going to draw power from what's nice about this is it means it pulls less power from the wall if your computer needs a hundred watts of power then this power supply will

draw and no more that about a hundred and fifteen watts from the wall non-certified power supplies would draw more than that maybe 120 hundred and thirty watts from the wall not a lot of power at any given point in time but it adds up over time and so this will save you a little bit of money as the years go by it also comes with a three year warranty and a very nice silent 120 millimeter fan on the bottom many less expensive power supplies do not come with that instead they have an eighty or ninety two millimeter fan on the back and they make more noise this power supply is completely silent I will do an upcoming video showing the installation of

this into something what I don't know yet but I will use this and I will review it and put it on my page but it is a standard ATX size so it should fit into virtually any case that uses an ATX power supply even pre-built from Dell HP Lenovo I think it's probably overpowered for those the 500 watt version would be enough but you could if you wanted to this power supply provides 588 watts of its 600 watts on the 12 volt rail this is very important and something

overlooked when comparing power supplies what is that important for graphics cards in CPU there are three different rails 12 volts 5 volt and 3.3 volts many less expensive power supplies that cheap budget power supplies may only provide sixty to eighty percent of the power available the rated wattage on the 12 volt rail and so while you think it has enough power when you go plug in multiple graphics cards or high-end CPUs you end up having problems this will provide all the power you need five hundred and eighty-eight Watts on the 12 volt rail to your high power draw devices that is a very nice feature now what it comes with is of course a

standard wall power cable it comes with a tester this is a very nice thing if you want to verify that your power supply works before you put it in your machine connect this to the 24 pin ATX cable plug it into the wall turn it on the fan will spin it'll let you know that it's working there are also 4k screws in here in case you have a case that is missing it screws you can use that to mount it in your case now I showed you the ATX power cable this is our 20 plus 4 cable this plugs into your motherboard we certainly need that then we have our 8 pin EPS CPU power

cable it does split into a 4 plus 4 if you have an older system that only uses 4 of these pins it splits just fine otherwise press them together and use all 8 pins to power your CPU one of the most important cables is our PCI Express power cable now this has two separate connectors and they're called six plus two they can be used either as six pin or eight bin by simply combining the cables together so you can power one or two graphics cards with this if you have as I said before our x4 70 or 480 in crossfire or even a gtx 1070 that uses a single 8 pin

connector each you could use this to power both of them it would work just fine there are three more cables the first is an old-school molex cable this has 3 4 pin molex connectors this is very very old but it's provided for backwards compatibility odds are you will not use this at the end of it is an old four pin floppy power cable connector which they still provide even though I don't think most of us use floppy drives anymore it's there if you need it the other two cables are much more useful they each provide three serial ata power cables so you have six serial ata power cables to power hard drives DVD drives solid-state drives all your various devices will be powered just fine using these cables now this 600 watt power supply is a great choice if you

have two graphics cards to power or you want the option to have two in the future if you are only ever going to have one power supply then I recommend the 500 watt version of this it's ten dollars less there's no need for 600 Watts with one graphics card I will link to my review of that in the video description below it's plenty but if you just want a little extra power or the option to add a second card or maybe you just have a lot of hard drives then this is a great choice for $ like this review if you liked it share it with your friends if you loved it remember to

using the big huge red button directly below this review questions and comments in the comment section and as always check out my review description below links to my other power supply reviews will be down there links to Amazon and  where you can buy this for $ it sometimes on sale be sure to check both if you liked my review if this was helpful in any way please use my Amazon  links I would greatly appreciate it

EVGA 600 BR, 80+ Bronze 600W Power Supply 100- review

EVGA 600 B bronze power supply and I went with this for a number of reasons you always want to go with more power than your PC needs so that it has something called Headroom which basically means if it ever does need to pull more power you're not maxing it out you're

not using the max capacity of how much power that it has you're only going to be using a portion of it if you have a power supply that has this many watts you don't want to be using this many you want to be using about half so if you're gonna be using about 200 watts you want to get a 400 watts power supply so that you have a little bit of extra rooms that you're using 200 and you have the extra space there you don't ever want to be using 390 out of 400 you always

want to be halfway max you always want to be halfway now I know that could get expensive because if say you're using 600 watts if you got a really you know 10 atti or you got a really high end video card you should really get a 1200 watts of power supply and I know that's not cheap but keep in mind you should always go double about what you're gonna use so I don't really need more than 600 I probably don't even need 4 or 500 but I got such a good deal on this I couldn't pass it up so ended up going with a 6 it is bronze I would have liked to go with gold or platinum but you know again this is a budget PC that I'm building it's not a modular power

supply it does of the cord in it got the manual and power supply itself was bubble wrapped very very nice that's showing me that they really take a lot of time and caring and effort here it is here are all the specs on and off I've got the fan on top hopefully it's nice and quiet no matter how you mount it whether you mount it like this which is upside down you're gonna have the information showing on the window side of the PC or if you flip it over right-side up you're also gonna have the writing right side up which is a really nice touch because most companies have it they're writing the same way on both sides in other words if you flipped it over and you had

to run it upside down to have the exhaust coming out of the bottom of the PC this would be upside down so that's it that's a really nice touch that they did that no matter which way you mount it right side up or upside down you're still gonna get the writing so again here are all the plugs really big thick cable got all the plugs here so I was actually able to build this whole PC for five hundred dollars and these are the components I'm using in it again the price has changed but I'm gonna leave links in the description down below so you can see what the prices are for this up to date this is a really great budget power supply for the built that I'm doing

right now it kept me at the five hundred dollar mark and it's gonna have plenty of power and it is a very trusted name in EVGA

a great-looking box that has pictures as well as features and specifications about the product that I built it up and let's see what's inside the included is a user's manual for black screws power cord and the power supply currently there are two power supplies in the EVGA bronze line the 500 B and these 600 B these aren't them to be more affordable low wattage power supply options over the more expensive high wattage power supplies from EVGA now I'll be looking at the 600 B which is the 600 watt model today now how is this water is determined well to understand this you need to know what rails are and rails are basically well regulated

transformers which convert domestic currents into the voltages that your computer system can use and there are essentially two different rails the 3.3 so that's 5 volt rail and the 12 volt rail now in this particular case the approximate maximum peak output of the 3 point 3 / 5 volt rail is 130 watts and the 12 volt is 588 watts which is essentially how the wattage of this power supply is determined now the 3 point 3 / 5 volt rail is responsible for the motherboard memory PCI cards and so on while the 12 volt rail is responsible for the hard drives optical drives fans CPU video cards etc it's also important to know that peak amps on each rail while the Plus 3.3 volt rail is 24 amps and the +5 volt is 20 amps this power supply comes with a single plus 12 old rail which is 49 amps a power supply is one of the most important parts of your computer

system so do not cheap out on a power supply get one that's brand name and firstly one that's going to really have enough wattage for York computer system so you need to figure out that and generally speaking a medium to high end gaming rate would require a 500 to 700 power supply and that for the most part would encompass most people so this power supply will be perfect for that for a hardcore system though select a power supply that's around a ton or what's if however you are building an extreme gaming grid with a top-of-the-line multiple video card set up with lots of other hardware select a power supply that's 1,000 watts or greater second it should be at or above 80% efficiency a typical load and the efficiency of this power

supply is 85% at typical load third it should meet the latest ATX and other current standards environmental directives over voltage under voltage and other protections this power supply meets all current standards fourth I'd recommend choosing a power supply that has a PFC a PFC or active power factor correction assist the power supply in being more efficient and therefore stable under load a PFC basically reduces to the harmonics corrects input voltage and that allows for full input voltage range thankfully this power supply has a PFC v there are three main certifications 80-plus nvidia sli and AMD crossfire and many of today's high end power supplies meet one or more of these certifications and this power supply meets the 80 plus

bronze certification six look for a power supply that uses Japanese capacitors now this power supply doesn't use Japanese capacitors but that doesn't mean the power supply it's going to fail or it's going to have any problems and to be honest it's not surprising considering that it's a low wattage low-cost power supply option finally get a power supply that has enough leads for your setup also consider a power supply that has a modular design because it reduces the cable mess inside of the case also it's important to get a power supply with an excellent warranty and this power supply comes with a three year warranty it comes with a black paint finish and the

housing is steel they include a very quiet 120 millimeter fan so this fan and the lots of insulation here means that the power supply should remain cool in just about any environment also I of this fancy fan grill that they have it is recessed and their logo is in the middle note that they have a 600 stamp here at the top at the back here they've got the power switch and the power cord connection to keep costs down this power supply is not modular now personally I prefer modular power supplies but in this range it really doesn't matter a whole lot because first of all you don't have a lot of leads to start with higher wattage power supplies that are not modular can be a real problem because they have a ton of leads they look bad and they really hinder

your flow all of the leads are sleeved quite a good job it looks good and it should last a while as well they've got this plastic grommet here at the back this is to prevent the cables from chafing finally try and have a listen to the 120 millimeter fan it is super quiet power supplies and this water trains are very popular because they are affordable and to be honest this is enough wattage for most people even gamers now if you're going hardcore or extreme of course you're going to need a higher wattage power supply but I think this power supply is going to be very popular it looks great really good clean power it's 80 plus bronze certified as well from a very reputable trustworthy company

EVGA and today I'd like to show you the 600 B 80 plus bronze power supply now the 600 B is the big brother to the 500 watt we recently released for our braun series power supplies come in with the additional hundred Watts you also see and improve 49 amp 12 volt rail this improvement here will allow you to run some higher-end 7 Series graphics cards and some 6 Series and video graphics cards as well this will keep the best value power supply for your next build on the budget and give you a little bit more Headroom for some future components let's take a look to see what the Brock's has to offer here we got EVGA on the back here you can

show our specifications that we have this power supply comes with 120-millimeter fan comes with a well placed on an off switch for specific cases where that switches in the proper spot as well as fully sleeved cables now besides having the 80 plus bronze efficiency and the active power factor correction it's a pretty standard power supply for your next build on the budget now let's take a look inside and see what the 600 B has to offer open up our box notice we got a nice protecting here looks like to cover our cables up on the top here also we have our five and 600 be manual shown some basic overviews of the two different models some stable power and protection features some details here on how to do the installation and connecting up your

peripheral devices so you have a safe and proper installation of your power supply and given over here some cable configurations and wattage specifications here for both now let's move on to the power supply we'll remove our cover here see that we have our AC power cord here and let's pull out our 600 B take it out of the bulb AREP up you'll see there's a couple screws in here as well for your case for connecting it up there and here it is the 600 B you notice that 120 millimeter fan on the back here we'll see that we have that power switch and it's more specific location than underneath keeping it a little bit better of an area this is a hard line power supply so with that in mind definitely know this is going to be a budget rated power supply to keep

costs down so that you can still get proper efficiency with an 80 plus bronze efficient power supply at a good price now let's take a look at some of the cable connections and see what this 600 B has to offer here you'll see we have our PCI Express 6 + 2 pin connections I deal with the 49 amps that it supports giving you options for higher-end graphics cards that either require an 8 pin connection or require an 8 plus 6 or just dual 6 pin connections look in here with our UPS cable we have our 4 + 4 EPS connection here for our motherboard pretty standard on here you'll see we have our molex connections giving you three separate molex connections for

optional fans or other devices and components as well as a floppy connector if needed over here you'll see we have two serial ata power connections definitely ideal for cable management when you want that optical drive at the top or hard drive at the bottom so you don't have one cable or running out of room with the links and stuff so giving you the six on two separate cables I say it's definitely ideal and our 20+4 pin connection here for a motherboard pretty standard 20 plus 4 or 24 pin connection definitely giving you the options for both there and that about

covers it for our 600 B power supply with price and performance in mind evj 600 B is the best value power supply for your next build on the budget don't forget the standard three year warranty and 24/7 customer support that EVGA already offers with all EVGA products and keep an eye out for this product here and others from EVGA coming soon
