today we take you up with some epic memory here from the guys at a data first of all the role on the intro so as I said we're taking a look the memory from a later mmm just memory no right this is their XP G Series z1 high-performance rams what I've got here is a 16 gig kit capable of running at 3,000 megahertz but that is not the be-all and end-all about this memory okay there's no RGB on it there's nothing really fancy about it we've got some nice heat spreaders I'll show you some b-roll of it but really it's all about stability performance and build quality when
it comes to the z1 ramp from a data so let's get it on the box and have a quick look it's just simple blister pack packaging nothing fancy but hey it is just memory we get a simple piece of card with a little bit of information on the inside as to how to install it always nice to see just so you don't get wrong and then a couple of memory pins summary gems are triangular shall we say pyramid pyramid shaped and hand of course days two of them this is a 2 by 8 gig kit so 16
gig in total and that's basically it but what a data have gone and done here is they've really in the way the current market is gone and done something a little bit different it's not full of RGB it's not full of lights this is just some nice good quality nice-looking Ram designed to just do its job properly now I've been using this in my Rison system for the last few weeks and I got gigabyte X 474 in there this is the only memory so far I've stuck in in Edward XMP and it
worked now I've actually used other memory from the qvl list from the quality approved vendors list it's not works this stuff I put it in it worked no issues I thought great so what else can I do with it so of course everybody likes to do a bit of overclocking this is just just 3000 mega hurt memory it is available in slower speeds higher speeds smaller capacities and higher capacities and in actual fact a day to do this going right the way up to 4600 megahertz I believe
of Computex there was even talk about 5,000 megahertz ddr4 bonkers speeds but we're divulging this is the 3000 megahertz kitayama we thought let's see what we can do now the first thing I found that this is meant to be 16 18 18 timing memory so the first thing I do how to play with the timings leaving at 3,000 megahertz leaving the voltages the same we were actually managed to go right the way down to four teens across the board on the timing nothing has
changed no problems stability great so they could the timings were very lenient when they did the exome Peas I then thought let's see what we do if we put the timings back to 16 1880 and try and increase the speed now I had to increase the voltage a little bit but one point 4 volts gave us 30 400 megahertz not shabby not shabby at all you'd normally be paying maybe an extra pound for that that extra bit of speed I then thought right now I wouldn't recommend what I've done obviously I get the stuff to play with and to break it doesn't matter it does matter if I
break it it is quite expensive etiquette but it's not the end of the world if I break it by killing it so I thought right let's throw a lot of voltage unit because the 4600 megahertz for example is actually rated 1.5 volts so I thought right 1.5 volts let's see what it does and on my rising system with timings of 18 20 20 20 so quite slack actually it was right the way up to 3,800 like I said I wouldn't recommend this I spoke with the guys a data they don't recommend running at about
1.4 1.5 volts 24/7 so yeah what I did was a little bit silly but it was just seeing what it is capable of and I'm very impressed it is done really really well that was obviously Rison I then stuck it into an Intel system which as we all know Intel is more lenient with memory and more compatible yep there's no doubt about it it does work better when it comes to memory compatibilities so I stopped the memory kicking and lo and behold XMP enabled off we go 3000 no issues now this was on a Zeb 170 board races so I was expecting it to work but yeah no
problems overclocking similar results if I'm honest um they were got about thirty thirty eight hundred at one point four four five volts at one point five volts the upper limit that I would ever recommend we did manage to get 4000 mega knows quite a big overclock obviously this was on a water-cooled system we did do some base clocking to get the memory that a little bit higher because I actually am using a 6600 not C 600k web base clocking is beneficial so yeah we did a lot of tweaking but it would actually run at those speeds but there we go we've got a great ddr4
3000 megahertz kit here from a data I'm incredibly impressed with it if you're on the map in the market for just some memory that is there just to do its job and just to do its job well this is one to look at one of the things that a they've done for example but their PCBs are using a much higher level of copper it's a as they say it's a two ounce of copper PCB normal PCBs apparently are one ounce this is 2 ounces so there's a lot more copper in hid to help transfer
heat of transfer data and things like that it's all about the bill quality the other good thing lifetime warranty so I could have this in my system for example for 15 years and it dies and I just phone a dater up go my memories died and they say can you show me it I send it to and they give me new ones great the lifetime memory okay is available from a few manufacturers now but not all and you a lot of those manufacturers charger a lot more these kits depending on color and speed vary in price I've seen them as low as 150 for 16 gig kit I've also seen them
upwards of just over 200 for the very high speed stuff as I've mentioned colors now I have a black kit and this was actually ordered in for me because I wanted to put it in my resin system but it seems to be very hard to find the black in this country what I have found that it is available in four colors black red yellow and all white so it's up to you to basically choose a speed choose a color you will have to do some shopping around to find what you're looking for I didn't find any of any one vendor that offered everything so if you are after a specific speed and
color do be prepared to do some shopping around or seat them it's a massive amount of variations for them to have to carry also available in single sticks dual channel kits quad-channel kits so there's again many many variations available all of different prices or from different vendors so do shop around but I think that is really about it for the ddr4 3000 makeup kit from a data and that no bring a bit be robbed, so there we go
just put you in a bit baroque just so you can see up close just how great this stuff looks and on that no guys I'm gonna call it a day for today I'm gonna be doing a lot more testing we're even gonna try and do an overclocking risin tutorial for you all which is going to be covering memory I will be using this kit probably gonna get a different motherboard to do it with us just that offers me more options and obviously being able to show you more results along with doing
that we will do full benchmarks .

when it comes to memory the liability and performance are of course important but that doesn't mean that the memory can't look great while performing enter a data and their spectryx of range of memory a data are a well-known a taiwanese company and have established themselves of a great reputation creating dear on products and peripherals such as keyboard and mice the xpg spectryx line is the company's attempt to cash in on the lucrative gaming market my name is Paul and in this rig into the company oh we're going to be
reviewing the spectryx d41 16 gigabyte two thousand six hundred and sixty-six megahertz memory care do know that we were provided this sample by a data for the purposes of review but this is not a sponsored video and all opinions are of course our own we tested our particular kits with a variety of different motherboard ranging from a gigabyte skylake board to a bio start B 350 and also to MSI ports the first of being a be 350 gaming Pro carbon and the board that we ended up doing most of our testing on the B 360 gaming Pro carbon along with the
horizon 520 600 X you can also find a link to the review of those particular products in the video description as well so then let's start out with the packaging and overview the box is black and red affair with primary colors but with an RGB rainbow adorning the top of the RAM on display the RAM on the box by the way it's the same color as the physical RAM inside you can see a bunch of logos including aurora msi mystic lighting and so on at the bottom and that's
because well you'll be using their software to control the lighting of the memory and at the rear well it's just the rear is a lot simpler with necks in multiple languages letting you know it's RAM and has a small barcode and sticker telling you the specs of that Ram CL is 16 16 16 operates at 1.2 volts opening up the kit in our case reveals two primary red it syncs the strip at the top is white when either the system off or you've disabled RGB lightning and it has xpg
written in black other than that we see a sticker on one site letting you know that once again yup it's RAM that's running at 20 666 megahertz and it has 16 16 16 and it requires 1.2 volts and on the reverse side there's just well a logo that extra finish is pleasing and heatsink screen while in quality these sticks are just begging to be overclocked and we do that very thing in a moment there's 4 memory modules on either side of the PCB and a thermal pad helps dissipate the heat of the ramp onto the heat spreader which by the way is made out of aluminum the
colors currently available are crimson red which is the color we were sent after we are ready gaming tech so I guess there was some synergy there and tungsten grain ram speed range from 2 666 the speed we were sent to a blistering 40 133 megahertz with timings of 19 19 19 that does require 1.4 bolts and a data acclaiming you can clock this up to 5,000 megahertz though obviously we can't test that our particular dims are 8 gigabytes capacity each so in this dual
channel set we have 16 gigabytes total we tested out ram and a few different motherboards more focus most of our testing on the B 450 gaming Pro carbon from MSI no we plunked it in clicked a XMP in the BIOS and a reboot later and yep everything was running as it should be and though it goes without saying we didn't notice any crashes stability issues aren't the strangeness of any of the boards we tested so if your figured of buying this Ram for say a rising processor motherboard you're good to go overclocking of course is the art of running a specific
piece of hardware above the recommended speed from a manufacturer the usual caveats to apply here your mileage will certainly vary due to silicon not really heat of your case and so on and so on but still there is no denying a certain satisfaction of overclocking a particular component and fortunately the adapter memory here is an absolute beast in this region we used the MSI be 450 gaming Pro carbon as the overclocking testbed because the board sports Ram
well above 4000 mega Hertz that should be enough to push our 26 66 megahertz kick right we took the Trident Muffit of overclocking bump laQuan speed-up built into Windows doesn't work yes back into the BIOS increase the frequency again and rinse wash and repeat 3000 megahertz came and went smoothly no crashes we eventually managed to reach at 3466 megahertz albeit with slightly looser timings 18 17 17 with a bumper voltage to at one point 4
volts if we wanted to have tighter timings such as the 17s or 6 things we need to nudge things down a few hundred minutes in the BIOS there might have been a bit more room left in the tank but we're pretty gosh-darn happy about these results and Geekbench cpu-z and Cinebench r15 and i'm sure you'll agree achieving this level over hooking with pretty much zero effort going into the BIOS raising DRAM frequency popping up voltages and tweaking
things is pretty impressive and we heard most stability issues at all of the speed although backing up the voltages even slightly or even slightly tweaking the timings or raising the clock speed would mean the system would lock up during heavy multitasking we suspect we're at the limits here the performance of this kit is right around what you'd expect given the clock frequencies of both stock in overclocked if you're running a be 360 were another platform of lock dram frequencies with suggester tightening the timings instead of Roth frequency
overclocking there's very little reason to leave the spectryx default once kit at stock though if you can overclock a data clearly confident in its ability to overclock and so we advise at least a mild one let's start things out with memory bandwidth in a 264 we're using the rise of 520 600ex system here and anybody have updated the rise into the Zen + architecture this updated processor core does include of course the bedded memory controller which allows it to handle
better and higher memory frequencies we see a huge difference in memory performance with read speeds rising a shade under 41,000 to 51,000 and speed in copy and write enjoy a similar uptick in performance in games memory bandwidth has a profound impact on rice and processors who have explored this in depth in memory clock speed scaling video which you can find in the review description but you can see from the few results here that yes it continues to
bear fruit the memory performance was burned plastic and performs right around what you'd expect given the clock frequencies and timings we tested with an MSI board so we were using mystic lighting but a data supports a plethora of different configurations it's simple enough you load the software up tell it what Ram color you'd like it to be in the pattern everything's rainbow effects solid colors a KITT from Knight Rider like look as the light moves up and
down the memory sticks slowly fading colors and more LEDs and lighting and not everyone's taste and of course you can most certainly disable them as required but they're fully configurable and can match any case color scheme depending upon your motherboards software you're able to set up different lighting zones known as DRAM one underscore one DRAM one underscore two and so on assuming we're referring to the first memory stick here
you can adjust the various RGB sliders and set different modes as desired the results look cool at least to us and worked really nicely without Coolermaster a IO and the B 450 motherboard you see here from MSI we decided to go for a more garish and not matching colors just to highlight the options available to you so onto the conclusion then if you're looking for heavily customizable colored and memory we would highly suggest you check out add artists spectryx
range it's highly overclockable and once again in the heads of our particular kit we took the twenty six hundred and sixty six megahertz Fram and took it way over thirty four hundred which is once again a pretty hefty overclock it was stapler as a rock it was compatible with Rison and Intel vics with no issues at all and it looks great to boot it's gonna currently at least if you want these sixteen gigabyte capacity and the same model that we have here once again it's available in a couple of different colors
