ok today we're looking at this Kingston HyperX fury ddr4 memory runs at 2400 megahertz so nothing too special but we want to compare it against other value memory which runs at the same speed to see if it makes much of a difference the sale rating on this is a CL 15 the recommended retail price of these for each stick so that's the day you stick and another 8 gig stick in total so it's a little bit more expensive than some of the other value ones on the market but we'll actually see if it makes
more to a different spending the extra stick compared to others which are exactly the same speed rating of 2 400 megahertz otherwise the packaging itself is clear packaging just as higher X across the front in small right and it does give you the specifications on the side so not very good if you have got to hand it in the shop or something like that it's hard to see what it is until you look and on the back you can just see the warranty information
appearing for the plastic packaging inside the packaging all you have is a nice HyperX sticker a basic warranty slash installation guide and then the memory stick itself which looks pretty nice it does a little quite effective but then again in most cases you're gonna see a memory stick a lot from my angle so the only way you're gonna see for most of the case it's a bit what says hyper X on the edge so doesn't matter really how much it looks from there because you're not gonna see
it all the time unless you've got a really special case or designed a certain way where you can see the components on the back of the memory stick in just tells you the specifications on there there's not a huge amount we're going to test this against them other memory again single 8 gig sticks as well as a 16 gig single sticks as well as running them in dual channel mode just to see how they perform so let's get down to testing in basics what we've done is tested the memory
against other memory of similar or the same speed some of heat sinks some without some well-known brands like Kingston Corsa and other brands like patriot and team just to see how it actually performs and actually if there's any difference really between the makes of memory you get or is it just down to the specifications we've tested this memory in a average gaming PC because well what's the point testing that in the high end machine because most people who've
got higher machines are not going to be buying value range memory specifications of the machine were using is a thermal tape level 20 mt case with a gigabyte horas be free 16 motherboard a g-force 1060 graphics card a thermal take 700 watt power supply and we've also got some water cooling from thermal take as well otherwise it's set up just as a normal home PC would be Windows 10 Pro that we're gonna see something very similar on here throughout all the slides it's pretty much all the results very similar with some tests running better on the
effects memory and then some tests better on the Corsair and some on the Kingston and so forth and even the value Kingston ramp wins some tests as well but averaging it all weather all out and they all get roughly the same scores with the only exception would be when we're testing one a gigabyte stick in comparison to two eight gigabyte sticks and even dual-channel at this speed doesn't make a huge difference so for example two eight gig six takes running dual
channel don't perform that much better if any than one 16 gig stick which is running at the same speed obviously please bear in mind that results will differ on the systems you use using a high-end system you may get a few different results specifically if you use an AMD platform like the Rison processors they can be quite sensitive to memory speeds more so but on a mid end Intel machine you won't see much difference between the memory the only thing what we
did see where it did four to eight slightly was temperatures and saying that the temperatures were pretty much roughly where we expected the ones with the heat sinks did actually get a little bit warmer in most cases than the ones without the heat sinks which is surprisingly but if you think about it the actual heat sink is sort of holding the heat in because it's not really getting that hot the hottest that got to was about 40 degrees which is generally a lot cooler the mostly components inside of a computer.

I have one Kingston HyperX predator RGB here I have two actually so today I'm going to to show you how to overclock these ddr4 Ram so first of all let's go to the spec of this room these are rated at 3200 megahertz well they actually can go over that let me show you how so before I began to show you that the manufacturer for this Ram is actually hynek's here using seed I and this one is using the type phone / now holding the download link in my description below first
thing I have to here to go into the BIOS so in your first Buddha your PC with this new Ram you see that the speed is actually only running and 2400 and not at the rated speed so what you have to do now is to go into the Aussie trigger by the way I'm using an extra a be 350 ITX for my risin 5 - 1600 X here so when you go into the OC tricker go into the deer and timing configuration here so as you can see here the RAM comes with two profiles one way to 32
hundred megahertz running at these timings and one with to 3,000 I gots running ever with a title timing so what I want to do here today is just to maximize our memory speed here so we are not going to change anything on the timing itself so you can load your SMP profile here we will need to go into SMM profile one here so as you can see here this is the current speed and we will change it to treat 3200 later on so on you just need to save this and yes to let the

all of it and the stress test our system memory already run so 10 minutes in already and our system is still running fine so I think my rain spirits temper now but it's actually better if you run lady run longer so that the results more accurate so now let me show you what happens if you overcome your rent too much so let me go into my BIOS again okay so we're bringing to the BIOS again so just before that we feel safe I'll perform here in case our overbooking fails so same use the default save this house avian my 3900 here so what happens if actually over

there we go we're posting now going to the bios Nia so as you can see everything is reset my ram speed is down back to 3400 my cpu speed stuff is back to 3600 as well so we are going to so so there's no worries if you if you offer quite your ring too much you won't damage your computer past assists since the system can protect yourself by rebooting to know it you know settings so what we have to do now is just to move on our default profile that is why I save it
before I do so just testing for you so you can just add second wave configuration I see and the computer reboot with your overclock settings so we are back into a computer yeah as you can see everything is working fine if we check our speeds here opening the hatch W in for 64 here as you can see our memory our processes running at 3900 back and then the memory is to add 30 400 megahertz so everything is back to normal now I know my RAM can put with that he's 34
66 megahertz but it did fail some of my gaming sessions so I don't call it back to 3400 there you go this is the memory walking guide here.

lot of designer cues from it actually all of it except the color honestly we like this black ones much better than the blue ddr3 version ones the heating is still cool looking and pretty tall with some nice details in a form of fins coming out on the top big glossy X is wide spread from one end to another holding in it a hyper X logo predator naming and ddr4 sign to top it off black PCB goes along great with the heating and the rest of the design going to the other side you'll
find the usual declaration sticker and that's pretty much it except this by speed topped out 3000 acres 4x4 16 gigabyte kit model you can also get a 32 or 64 gigabyte kit in 4 by 8 or 8 by 8 KD configurations ranging from 20 133 to 2800 megahertz the biggest 64 gigabyte kit can only be purchased in twenty eight hundred megahertz speed as you can see due to its high temperature is not compatible with dual Tower CPU coolers like ours be quiet dark rock pro 3 as it will get in a way of the fan so keep that in mind when purchasing it or CPU cooler other
than that this setup looked really nice black color black motherboard and black Ram checking out the performance we ran into what's for now a pretty common problem with motherboards and RAM compatibility especially with the 3000 megahertz speed models we couldn't get the XMP profile working for that speed we tried everything from automatic setup through X and P manual setup overclocking tinkering with voltages straight ratios changing timings and
latencies everything that could be related to memory ability issues but we got nothing even with the twenty eight hundred megahertz it wouldn't but probably the only thing left to do is to wait a new BIOS is our gigabyte X 99 UD for just didn't comply with that speed in the end we tested the RAM out on the second XMP profile the 26 66 megahertz one as you can see the read write copy results are pretty impressive nevertheless especially in comparison to the ddr3 ram or of course it's really hard and borderline impossible to tell difference in everyday use between
three thousand and twenty 133 megahertz Ram so it's always better to redirect the difference in price between them into a bigger round kit plus you can always easily overclock it from the stock 21 33 megahertz to higher speeds as usually those memory chips on the RAM are pretty similar on the whole series .
