new razor Huntsman gaming keyboards what's up guys we're gonna be reviewing the brand new razor Huntsman elite gaming keyboard it just came out today so if you're interested in picking it up or finding out more about it we'll go over all the pros and cons talk about my experience as well as some of the brand new editions that have never before been featured in a razer gaming keyboard in the past they definitely put it all on the line when it came to this new release and like I said in the beginning we do also have a giveaway going on I'll be giving away two of these keyboards so check the links down below and I have them information on the end and stuff like that but sit tight we got a lot to go over here in this review now when I first unbox

it my first thought was that I loved the keycap font it's simple nothing aggressive and that can kind of sum up my entire thoughts on this keyboards appearance as a whole it really doesn't look like a razer keyboard it's very modern looking we have rounded edges now it does matte aluminum top plate there isn't even a Razer logo anywhere on the keyboard itself just on the wrist rest but of course once you plug it in the light starts shining away then yes it has that familiar Razer glow and there is this new light strip around the entire keyboard but just as a whole I do love to look at this board flipping it over on the back we have six rubber pads to
prevent it from sliding around in your desktop plus you flip out feet to elevate its backside with two different height adjustments here to fit your comfort then before we move on speaking of comfort they do include this attachable wrist rest with this elite version here but there is more to it it is a pretty soft cushioning material that resembles leather definitely comfortable so that's a plus but it attaches to the keyboard via these pins you snap into place and once connected all your chroma lighting on the keyboard will now also be synced to the wrist rest you can have this cohesive RGB unit we'll go over all the chroma lighting effects in a minute so sit tight now

one thing you may have noticed in the top right-hand side of the keyboard is something that I've been asking for from Razer for years now but they've always excluded it and it's something that I always look for in a gaming keyboard and finally we have dedicated multimedia keys Plus this new multimedia dial finally but always bum me out in the past and their keyboards wouldn't have it but now we finally do but it doesn't end there because this wheel is a quote multifunctional digital dial of a say and at first I thought that was some you know fancy term

just for a standard volume wheel but legit this is really cool so inside the software you can go in and really make this wheel do whatever you want from your standard volume adjustment you can have it change your microphone volume if you have a headset plugged in or a dedicated USB mic you have to scroll up and down zooming in and out you can make it a mouse function or bind this to certain keys on your keyboard or even as like Windows shortcuts to launch certain apps cycle through your windows if you can think of it odds are you can make this wheel perform that function so you can think of all the cool things you can use this with I know for me like when I'm editing videos and premiere I can use that wheel to scrub throughout my timeline or zoom in and out just a really great feature they added alongside the media Keys

which this kind of overshadowed so you can hear them nice and tactile media keys it's just great that Razer is listening to us getting what we want going that extra mile and innovating and speaking of innovation getting into the heart of this review and one of the biggest features to these new huntsmen gaming keyboards is going to be those new editions of those optomechanical key switches these are a first of their kind in the Razer keyboard lineup and they differ greatly from traditional mechanical switches these actually by breaking this little optical light beam inside the board which immediately sends a signal to your PC it is designed so when you click the switch down it actuate registers and resets all at the same time in the way

the actual switch is constructed inside the mechanical aspect and the optical beam are two separate parts so you're still getting that satisfying tactile click he's actually feel identical to the Razer green switches and they share that same 45 grams actuation force with 1.5 millimeters to actually with a 3.5 millimeter travel distance so you're getting a key that is 30% faster than a traditional mechanical switch it's also lighter than when you're comparing the two these optomechanical have completely eliminated any potential bouncing inside that occurs when the mechanical switch is pressed down from those two metal contacts touching each other inside the board again since we have an optical beam inside the signal is sent immediately with no to bounce delay so when I was typing and using this and stuff felt very familiar because it's like

those Razer green switches we've been used to in the past with it being very clicky and tactile but now they are built entirely different if optical beam inside but it's still a mechanical stem so hence the name you know optomechanical and when I was gaming to notice a difference or an advantage not necessarily because again we are talking about milliseconds very very tiny milliseconds here but the switch is 30% faster than your traditional mechanical key switch it's also a lighter switch and now you have that zero debounce time and of course as you've been waiting for and as we always do I'll do a sound test you could hear how these optomechanical switches sound now as you wind this review down you know we gotta check out that chroma lighting the effects are smooth and fluent and by the way no on camera some shots might seem like they're lagging much is because of your refresh rate or the lights to the camera but it is

definitely some keyboard eye candy inside the synapse software you can change up your lighting effects like you're used to for things like a breathing effect which is going to breathe a certain color in and out fire is your warmer hues to resemble a fiery effect reactive lights up the key you press and then fades out ripple sends a pulse of light outward from when you're typing and I always like this one when combined with a static color in the back I think it looks really cool spectrum cycle is gonna show you the sixteen point eight million colors fading in and out of each other and also for this and most of these effects you can change up the speed and stuff then is star light which is a twinkle of lights writing down your keyboard and yes the wave effect here the famous rainbow wave here you can change the direction of the way of the width of each kind of the gradient whether you want it to go inward to outward up or down whatever you like this all gets synced up with that wrist rest and eye time this does cast like a halo around

the keyboard going into your effects and now with that wrist rest you have an additional 62 lighting zones around your keyboard itself you can individually change up and customize them to how you like to really make it fit your style but you do need to have both of the USBs plugged into your PC for this to be powered then when you're done creating your effects you can save them to the keyboard itself because we have five onboard profiles now I can also be synced to these synapse cloud so you can bring this with you wherever you want and still have those five profiles but it's pretty cool and some of the things I think I talked about before is we still have a dedicated gaming Keys you can disable the windows key you actually have on the board a macro recording with function f9 so you can record all your macros on this keyboard without

having to do it with software and stuff like that and instead of n key rollover we have ten key roll over here but it is a sacrifice I'll be willing to take with all these new additions so wrapping it up with some pros and cons I mean there's a lot of new additions that aluminum top plates gonna make the keyboard more rugged and solid in the end you have a nice detachable wrist rest for the lights all synching to it loving the new multimedia tool that thing it's just really really cool a great addition to a keyboard alongside those dedicated media keys we finally get Thank You Razer and these brand new optomechanical switches inside which is like I said at first of its kind for Razer so all really good stuff and I just love the way the keyboard looks it's still simple than modern looking at the same time but now with those lighting zones all

throughout it it just cast this chroma halo glow around your desktop so definitely some really cool stuff there in terms of cons there are two things that are kind of minor the first one is I would have loved to have a USB passenger on the back side but I get it you know with the the chrome aristocrats and stuff like that you probably need a third USB port so understandable and the second one is with the wrist rest clicking in on the bottom as those sort of magnetic pins sincereiy stress itself is kind of heavy if you're picking this up it's not gonna stay in place and it is kind of hard to stay together I wish there was like an additional locking on the back or

something so this could just you know stay is one unit nothing that a little bit of tape can't fix though but very minor so in the end this huntsman elite gaming keyboard is gonna come in at  which is definitely pricey but it is a premium keyboard and you're paying that premium price when you take a look at their competition and stuff like that when Coursera's k95 platinum first launched that was the same price  as well so this is that kind of you know that one step up with our brand-new lineup of these really high-quality gaming keyboards with the original Huntsman being 150 but with that you don't get any side glow you don't have a dedicated media keys or anything like that and you don't even have a wrist rest so 154 that's kind of pricey but I could see how they can fit in that  price point for this Huntsman elite again since it is their premium product now in their whole keyboard lineup like I said before we are giving away one of each of these keyboards so check the link down below and that'll have it down there for you good luck if you want to maybe win one of those not to pay the price for these but altogether a really really solid and awesome gaming keyboard it has a ton of brand-new editions as well as introducing these brand new Optima mechanical switches to the razer keyboard lineup

looking to get a mechanical keyboard for all third gaming and needs you feel a lot better to type on there are far more durable than membranes and you have a wider selection of switches to choose from to fit your preference but the entire mechanical switch technology is actually quite a bit old and you can only prove it at that much really well the solution to that is to use optical switches that delivers far faster and more precise keystrokes and now eraser has engineered their own optomechanical switchers for their new Huntsman keyboards and I have to say without a doubt these are my new of favorite switches so let's take a look at razors new

Huntsman elite and their new optical mechanical switches right after this but just before that if you guys are in the market for a a new in video r-tx of graphics card whether it's a 20 80 TI a 20 80 or the new 20 70 graphics cards Revoltech has you covered from also all of your favorite brands whether it's a gigabyte msi or a SUSE so definitely check out Revoltech to get your new or TX graphics card and now so starting off with the pricing fold the razor a Huntsman Elite it is a retailing for under 3000 and on rebel tech urines of Africa  on Amazon but you do also get the smaller and more affordable Huntsman without any of the fancy features but still with the optomechanical switches that is going for around a 2300 rand or 150 dollars the Huntsman

comes out with a simple sleek matte a black design with its a bright RGB lighting not only underneath each key but also around the sides of the keyboards and the included a palm erased the side a lighting is definitely a cooler feature and it's war focused to the side and not really downward so you don't really get a more glowy effect on your disk which I actually do kind of like but it does keep the lighting a bit more subtle the huntsmen also has a sturdy build construction with an aluminum atop a plate that does help prevent with flex now straight away in the top right corner you will notice that you do get a dedicated and media controls with a

cool and also RGB a volume and a mute roll wheel that does make adjusting your volume actually quite a bit fun also for some of the other function keys you do get a on-the-fly macro recording your gaming mode a brightness adjustment so for that backlight you get your sleep and then also you can change your profiles on the fly but you can have a lot more adjustments that you can just create and set in the software as for the included palmer's it connects to the side of the huntsmen with ease with its a magnet and a pins to send that data and power through for the lighting the polymerase has a soft a layer of padding that makes typing and gaming a lot more comfortable and kind of these days I feel any high or even a mid-range gaming keyboards do you need a pomace because it just makes it at that much of better and more comfortable to use taking a quick look underneath the huntsmen and the palm race you

get a plenty of anti slip up pad that does do a really good job at that you also get your to flip out keyboard a feat that has some extra level adjustments as well for better elevation and all of the elevation levels it does also have anti slip up pads for the cable it is a dual USB a braided cable with a length of 1.8 meters or 5.9 of feets having also the two USBs does kind of make it a bit a thicker but the cable is easy to bend a for your cable management as for the key caps you get pretty much the same smooth abs are plastic icky gaps as most of the other razer keyboards alike at the Black Widow I would have like it was double short or even a PBT keycaps but that is okay now getting into the main feature of the new huntsman and that is razors new after mechanical switches so what exactly is optomechanical switches and why are they so much better well how the current mechanical switches a work is that you have to push a down on the

key which then pushes a pin down to push a to a metal contacts together and then it'll send through the signal but before those two metal contacts can ascend through a signal there is something called a debounce a delay which prevents the signal from being sent through immediately even though it is only a couple of a milliseconds we can get it to near-instant this is where the optical switches comes in that instead of using the old primitive method off to conduct it uses an infrared light beam and kinda as we know light is really fast so we get a near instant signal being a center through for faster and more precise or key places in a gaming and then also sending the email to Grandma I don't really know if grandmas can really read emails or how they work so maybe you can just print it out maybe it's still primitive or but that's

better than nothing I suppose okay but now all of the fancy talk is nice and everything but how do the switches actually feel well I have to say they feel pretty freakin amazing you still get the mechanical feel with a clicky tactile a bump that has actuation force of 45 grams and a low 1.5 millimeters of actuation points now normal switches has an actuation point of around two millimeters and the AMEX speeds have an even lower one point two millimeters so yes the emic speed switches are lower for foster key prices but they're not as be as the obstacles and the problem that I presented with Amex speeds or was that because they are so extremely low light and also as the linear response for anything other than a gaming with a more precise finger

placement it was completely horrible so writing an email to Grandma was faithfully a no-go with the MX speeds this is why I proceed unlike these new switches they are much faster they're so light but they still have that nice tactile feel and not too crazy allowed like a lot of the other blue switchers so on but now it uses a quick sounds of how those are new auto mechanical switches sounds moving on to the software you will need to go download Razer synapse a3 software from their website we're now in the software you will be able to create and edit profiles assign in different commands to each of the key like media controls to launch a program and then also you can assign and create your own custom macros one feature that Razer also has is the hyper shift option which actually allows you to set a completely new set of key commands for all of the keys so in effect you actually get twice as many inputs which is kind of cool especially if you do have a bunch of different macros and you apply as far as the

lighting of for the huntsmen just like most other Razer products you do have a lot of customization not only can you change the color and the effects of each key but also each of LEDs around the side of the keyboard and the palm rest so you're able to group all of them together or individually change all of the colors affects brightness and also just a bunch of more controls depending on the effects also if you do have other chroma Razer products or even Philips you products you will be able to sync all of them together for a cooler lighting effect so now in conclusion even though I really do like the Huntsman it's a awesome keyboard there are some bad points that is mentioning firstly in the middle where the Palmer's and the keyboard connects there is a tiny gap where the keyboard is higher than the palm rest and it's not like it's not like that on other sites is only in the middle doesn't really cause any issues you still able to connect the keyboard without it and it so works it's just something that I'm need to mention

because there's a lot of people that will be finicky about or more precise lines and everything so yeah just keep that in mind the second is that the way I personally raised my palms on top of the palm rest I could actually feel or the edge of the Palmer's on my wrists it didn't really take away from the comfort that much to me but for somebody who might have a really large hands or do put their hands more back backwards towards the on the palm rest they might end up with their entire palm on that edge and that won't be as comfortable as most other people so just keep that in mind as so well I would have liked if it was kind of a bit more alike though or not ah where is almost the entire length and width of the the palm rest where it's not the edge kind of so being plastic so I think that would have been better and the loss a bad point is the Huntsman does resemble or the Black Widow elite quite a lot now that's or anything a bad but unfortunately because of the side on lighting you don't get this audio or a USB pause through like the black video elite which is kinda bad a bummer to me especially at this  price point but

it's not all bad news for the Huntsman overall it's really a awesome keyboard that I would love to own the both quality is a good it has a nice dedicated media controls that's cool RGB lighting and the base one of course are the optomechanical switches now I have not used other optical he Wars before so I can't really say how the razor's often mechanical switches performs to those but from all of the other mechanical switches that are a user for these are definitely my favorite they are exactly what I'm looking for which is a very snappy light but still has a tactile a bump and still being clicky so I can annoy some of the people around me likely I live on my own so again I did have a blast using a the Huntsman for these a few weeks now and it's kind of sad to see hit I go back but it is definitely a word for buying if you are looking for a higher and a gaming keyboard with extremely quick and satisfying the switches that does also look a nice and a sleek

So, Razer has some new flagship keyboards, the Razor Huntsman and the Huntsman Elite, and these aren't designed to replace their super popular Black Widow keyboard. These are kind of like a secondary flagship device, but I think these are going to be the future of their keyboards. So, what makes these things special is their switch. They're using these Razor optomechanical switches which are optical switches, so the traditional mechanical switch uses metal contacts to actuate the switch. But these use an infrared light beam that's detected when you press the switch down. So, when the switch is up, that red beam gets blocked, press it down, the red beam goes through and the sensor picks it up and that's an actuation. So these guys aren't the first people to come up with an optical light switch. It's been done before by other companies, but Razer is one of the first big players in the gaming industry to do it and I wouldn't be surprised if Logitech and Corsair or any of the other bigger companies if they do it relatively soon as well. So what makes an optimal mechanical switch special? For one these switches have fewer moving parts, so they just have a longer lifespan, these are actually rated for a hundred million

keystrokes. Your standard mechanical switch like something from Cherry is rated for like 20 to maybe 50 million keystrokes. These are a hundred million, significantly longer lasting, significantly more durable. Now, whether or not you're actually gonna break your keyboard because you pressed it 100 million times is a different story, but just by the nature of how the switch works, these are more longer-lasting. Secondly, optomechanical switches don't have something called events. So on a regular mechanical switch, manufacturers have to implement an input delay. So, this is a purposeful delay around five milliseconds and they do this to prevent something called chatter. Optical mechanical switches don't have chatter so they don't have to implement this delay So that input is just received by the computer a little bit faster I feel like Razer built this entire keyboard around speed So in addition to that optical sensor that's reading a little bit faster They have a lower Actuation force and a shorter travel on each keystroke and they've ended up with this gaming keyboard that feels really fast I'm not sure if

it's the actuation force or the shortened travel or if it's the optical sensor It's I think all of them are working together, but it actually feels significantly and noticeably faster than a regular mechanical switch It feels crisp and sharp. It's just a faster and snappier experience if I'm being honest, though I noticed that most when I'm typing when I'm gaming my inputs feel a little bit cleaner But when I'm typing my fingers feel like they're doing stuff faster and with less effort than normal All right, in terms of how these feel these are clicky switches So they have that very distinct tactile bump as you press it down it's not as pronounced as like a cherry blue or the Razer greens like it's not as sharp of a bump as those but it is distinctly a tactile bump as you press it down In terms of how they sound it's a very audible click but not as loud as a cherry blue or a razor green The switches themselves have purple stems and the shape looks a

little different from your standard mechanical switch But it uses a regular key cap and there's actually stabilizers on each key So that metal clip that runs around the edge Normally you only see that on bigger keys like the spacebar or the shift key, but these have stabilizers on each key Okay So other features that you get on the regular huntsmen you have onboard memory so you can actually configure your device and store that Configuration on the device itself as well as the cloud you get Programmable macro keys you get individual lighting which you can customize pretty heavily you get 10 key rollover and it's an aluminum top panel It's pretty good But on the premium version the huntsmen elite you get all of that stuff But you also get media keys up here as well as a jogged out So the jog dial controls volume by default But you can customize it to scroll or zoom or switch apps like it's got a lot of functionality There's also a

pogo pins up front on this device and these allow you to connect the magnetic wrist rest It's not a super comfortable wrist rest to me, but I'm not a wrist rest user if you're into them Then you might like this but it also gives you on the huntsmen elite under glow lighting So the whole device lights up underneath and on the sides and you can control that as well quite extensively through software and because these are connected through pogo pins Razer could develop other modules like I don't like a trackpad or a Wireless charging thing for your phone, whatever they want They could develop different modules in the future instead of this wrist rest So I've been using this keyboard for a little bit over a week and I liked a lot about it It feels fast and there is a noticeable difference in speed compared to my regular Mechanical but there's a few things I

don't like about it. Number one. I wish those used to be passed through I also don't like that It only comes in a full keyboard version, I wish there was a 10 keyless version also I wish it came in a different color But my biggest complaint is that if your interest in this keyboard; if you're interested in this optomechanical switch technology You have to use this type of tactile switch. There isn't a linear version of this There isn't a variant in terms of the tactility It's this one and only switch and if you don't like the way that it feels then you won't be able to adopt this whole optomechanical technology for now, but overall great keyboard I think most people will like. Now the million-dollar question though is whether or not this keyboard or whether or not this Technology is they're actually gonna make you a better gamer and my take on it is this: For

99.999% of the time it won't, I mean if you're a good gamer, you're a good gamer a keyboard won't affect your gameplay But there is that time like you've, you've probably Experienced this when you're in a game and you want to use an ability or an alter or whatever it is You press a button. It should have gone off and it didn't whether it's lag or whatever it is. But on a keyboard that's Recording your inputs a little bit faster. There is the chance that it goes off. You don't die You don't wipe you save your team. You're a hero and in that 0.001 chance that that happens this would make you a better gamer But I think for most people it's just a really fast nice keyboard.

Razer Huntsman Elite Gaming Keyboard: Fastest Keyboard Switches Ever review

the razor Huntsman gaming keyboard this is very different from what we seen from waser before this is using their brand new digital optomechanical switches these years have been infrared light which is broken by the switch stalk and then sends the signal to the keyboard more on those later as a quick note there's actually two versions of the full-size keyboard available alongside the newly announced tournament Edition which is the 10 keyless version the one I have here is the standard version that retails at 150 pounds there's also an elite version that's got media controls a wrist rest and underglow that retails at 200 pounds so quit things tonight before we get into the box this does perky RGB with the Razer synapse 3 we've seen this one generally every razor keyboard nowadays it also has tanki anti-ghost it roll over five different onboard storage profiles they're using abs key caps and you have a pulling weight of a thousand Hertz and a nice braided 2.1 meter cable it was a quick note I'm going to say this in every video just because people asked the picture on the box is aus layout keyboard and the one

I'm actually reviewing is a UK as obviously I'm in the UK it's easier for them to print the same layout on every box than it is to do different regions and specific ones so that's why the picture on the box and what I've got inside that you're going to see in the review is different so included inside the box we've got the manual a little welcome note from Razer and then the Razer stickers we've got the nice Razer logo so different from just to raise a holographic logos but also quite nice I reckon they can definitely fit somewhere in your setup okay so let's not waste any time let's get straight onto that your keyboard itself as you can see from this shot looks pretty clean I do like the minimal style that this one offers obviously they do the elite version has got the media controls that underglow in the wrist rest but obviously you're going to pay for that if you want those features but those of you that do will obviously know that but I do love how simple this is just R a sleek and black just a very simple Razer logo in the corner now I did

clean this keyboard before I did the video but it does pick up grease on the key caps quite easily so just something to make you aware of but that being said I have used this you know all day so it's going to be but for a few hours at a time it's not going to make a difference of course I'd you being able its glory there going through this spectrum on Razer synapse I will show you some presets that are actually built in there's some additional ones from the last keyboard I looked at and then I'll give you another video link that you can check out the snap software in a bit more detail new cocktail switches have a stability bar just to reduce that left and right motion of course I'll give you a full breakdown about the switches my I think about them but being that stability bars are visible from the side of the keyboard I thought I'd briefly mention it now both the arrow keys you've got some very simplistic lights for the caps lock scroll lock

number lock and also your macro recording this hat that's got a little red light when that's active then you've also got a game mode on there so we don't inadvertently press the Windows key and it all pop-up and you know you have to tab back in and all that kind of jazz just to say was that for a nice piece of mind way of gaming now those buttons such as a macro in the game mode are available by pressing the function one at the bottom of the keyboard and then the relevant keith above on the F keys Rasika options for brightness on there for your lighting and also some media controls play pause volume etc and one thing that I've really come to love is the fact that they illuminate too white when you press the button so it kind of overrides any of the RGB that you set up yourself through synapse and for those of you that have been with me

for a while you know I always like to mention white on RGB as it's a very difficult color for it to produce really proud to say that the white comes out spectacularly on this keyboard probably the best boy I've seen on the keyboard yet being produced by RGB of course white LEDs are obviously a given they're going to be good but RGB being a difficult color these do it absolutely spot-on there's no light blue or anything like that to it absolutely bang-on white other things the nose has got a two point one meter braided cable it is fixed to the keyboard oh so just bear that in mind but it does have a nice braiding on there as well you can't see any of the cables through very nicely done unfortunately and there's no keyboard pasturing this just the one that connects to the PC but personally for me and I've used that anyway so it's no big deal on the

underside we got some nice rubber pads for anti-slip when your desk and you've got two stages elevation on there as well so this is at the high saying but then you've also got a medium one as well should you not like quite such a steep angle so under the key caps are these objects wishes and just what benefits they provide to you so the actuation point of these is extremely slim this is where you get part of the speed from and have fun on some occasion it doesn't actually necessarily need to click either to actually register so metally is a new thing from Razer it's the first generation I think it does need a little bit more refinement like I have found on occasion if you need to press a key quickly twice that I'm sometimes it went wedge to that second press so here's a case if you have to press the key let it go all the way back up there press it again you can't you know DoubleTap them rapidly there's a case of open to bottom an out is a little bit

hit-and-miss in that regard so just something they'll probably finesse with time now as you'll hear from the sound sample in a minute this is a very loud keyboard certainly louder than cherry blue switches so something you need to bear in mind if you're gonna be buying this for an office it's a definite no-go for that situation likewise for streaming too I think it's gonna be picked up on the mic too easy in the comparison to the other keys and place you're going to say the orange is still my favorite if they could design this without the clicks I think they'd have a much more of a populist which days because you eliminate that noise but obviously ways did come out with the green switch to begin with and that's known for being loud anyway so I could see where they put their click in there to begin with I think it also needs a bit more work with the stability as well the key caps to move from left to right quite easily but again I think that's another thing they kind of refine as time goes on so before we get to the lighting let's give you a little sound sample so as you can see very loud to listen to certainly something like I said you

can't use in an office or anything like that but should you just be a casual gaming you don't need to be streaming or you know using microphones where you type or anything like that I'm not sure you'll get on with it just fine so in terms of how the keys feel I would say they're closest to Cherry blues as well obviously I did say that they were a lighter key as well so you ought to take that into consideration I would really recommend just try and one out if you can basically I think that's the best way you can really do it just going up and play around because they're not gonna be for everyone just like the Razer green switches some people don't like how they feel so they probably opt for the oranges of the yellows same for this so in terms of the lighting and full customization available I'm gonna put a card on the screen now that'll take you to one

of my previous videos that I've done where I kind of gave them an in-depth look I'm just gonna cover the brief presets that come with this keyboard obviously Chrome is something you can spend actually hours on but this is gonna give you a rundown of the preset effects that comes with a keyboard okay so first off we've got ambient awareness this basically uses whatever windows are in your screen so for example I'm using Skype on this one and whenever you position that it would light up that certain area at the keyboard which is a little bit different something I haven't seen before how much I'd really use it but something certainly unique the

next one we've got is audiometer so you're gonna monitor whatever audios going through your system and then adjust accordingly I do like the fact that when you pause it it goes totally black you can also just the starting color from that as well next we've got breathing which is a simple fade in and out you can obviously choose your color as well we can go from two different colors if you wish so for example white and red are ones I've used commonly before next we've got fire I first saw this on the old NASA I really do like this effects and most warm reds oranges and yellows does make a nice fire effect reactive it is a short fade out on whenever the keys pressed you can set the duration of this on there as well so you can go for a short medium or a long time out next up we've got a ripple which sends a obviously a ripple of effects from the Keeler's pressed spectrum cycling goes between all sixteen point seven million colors that's what's

actually on by default when you put the keyboard in star-like will randomly lights up different keys to give a twinkling effect of obviously stars you can set a random color for this one as well or you can obviously pick between what you fancy the wave is a classic effect for either one I use the most when I show off the RGB just gives a lovely variation of color all the way through the keyboard and then we'll goes in circular motion clockwise or anti-clockwise okay so all in all I do like the keyboards the switches are definitely something that can need a little bit of refinement though just to stabilize them and maybe give an option without the click then I think that's gonna be an absolute banger there are responsive and fast though that high actuation point of just 1.5 millimeters because the infrared does make responses a lot faster as

I said they just need to have a little bit it'll play around just get it out to you nailed other things to know I love the minimal design just a pure black with a simple Razer logo a gloss just really looks nice and just pops I do think it is a tad expensive for that is but I certainly would get the elite version if I'm gonna go out and splash the cash so need to have those media controls would be quite nice but it's handy to have them on there anyway just using that function key the chroma lighting is good not quite as white as some other keyboards that I've tried but I think where the key was pretty stealthy anyway I think the lighting does suit it doesn't overpower the

keyboard it does give it very stealth overall look even if you do have the RGB on the way for example so if you're the person that can forgive that click enos and you're not looking for the media controls and I definitely have a consideration for this if you're looking to get a new keyboard it will put links for this in the description below for and again obvious now
