The best Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 RGB 120mm review

so fun we'll take have sent over the reach Rio found the kit now this is obviously a new range it is premium it does work with Razer Chrome's new software but is still in the works of art danger software with Amazon next up what some fun will takes up as well and to get the phone we'll take Alex app to work on the Lexile via having these fans in your case you just go to the

Amazon link and then you download it and then you or stop a new account with username passwords when you come into the phone will say it can't and put that username password in or if you've got one already then you can use that and then it set up and then you can use Amazon to correct or not well you're correct that the fan curves if they're a little bit too loud and stuff

like that or you can change the light in or you can show a little party tricks your friends going to come in and say hello TT or hello and video and all that stuff and it changes colors and it all flashes and all look really cool for Amazon link or Amazon Alexa actually or Amazon link and LexA anyway these are the rich row 12 RGB fans paint you did the fire fun we'll take themselves this has got a trio or 30 color LEDs it's got LEDs inside the middle bit at least these on the outside and LEDs on the back so if your connects it's a radiator and using it as the front intake then obviously can turn it around you still see the RGB there's normal they look pretty

sick I've had about the box really and as you can see it's what you can't really probably see from there but let's get the box and I'll show you obviously the software it's pretty decent with this because I've been using it the only thing I had a problem with is obviously app it needs to be more updated and more user friendly because it's in a different language and then it's just got loads of like things that always buggy sometimes with the fans a lot of fans the software that's on the app on the phone by last time I used it it works really well and I've found that like

little hidden easter eggs and it was like pretty decent anyway I do like the initial way that this box opens I know like oh it's just a box whatever but yeah so basically you slip slip the earth sides off with one of these last and then you just open it up like Sully and then you've got a tap which is teasing because every other phone will take boxes just rubbish prepared for this so empty box I think all the content is out then you've got this box as well and it's got all the cables and screws in there and warranty and instructions and I do not connect the firm will take

product to other phone will take products like I mean it's talking about these boxes this box is for these fans only do not try to put your other phone will take controller box interconnect with this or to use them because it will just probably damage your RAM product so you can only use this phone will take to go with these fans and that's it but you can have 16 that go up to it this has got a dip switch on the back and there's 16 different combinations of connecting the boxes

all together so the register for this software and once you do that then you can definitely have your fans working in sync with all the RGB is going off all day long it's pretty amazing if you're into RGB if you're not and you're into the performance this is great as well because these fans are high performance and these are PWM fans so they're 120 so I've got here the cable is also decent length as well so if you're going to put it in one of these massive cases you will always know that you've got plenty of length to go with it so this is probably about 70 to 80 simple

centimeters of cable they have their own USB connection and you plug them in like so and you can plug in only five fans each do not attempt to go over the top with plugging in different phone will take products because it won't work or if it does work it might damage it might be a different fault it's not too sure but I've noticed that other motherboard companies that are coming out started off there any diesel Haji B's that's what folks and now it's at 5 volts II Cantonese a 12 volt cable with a 5 volt motherboard not enough power and it will just end up ruining the warranty and you will just get annoyed and you won't wanna buy products

anymore because it's just annoying I'm pretty annoyed of it so I don't know why they've gone from 12 to 5 anyway but yes you plug them in into like the via the USB connection so it'd be the same USB that's on the papaer which is USB - not us to be free it will definitely plug in no problem whatsoever so I'm sitting this all up right now the cables are really nice thick insulated cables and I fit they're just decent they look like and they feel like premium cables and that's what we want more premium cables so on the back as well as got markings one two three four five one two for each side so I've got line in already so I can sync it in with interesting and I'll

load that one fan I'll know where to position it in or position free or two or it depends we've got five and there you know it's position it it does come with velcro as well and it comes with 12 screws so you get twelve normal screws that you normally get on the back of exhaust fans that's normally screw straight into the back of the case and it also comes with four radiator fans in each bag so acquainting to 12 all together so these are nice decent long screws there Phillips screws and that and then you've got these ones which literally cut into the plastic so you don't

use of a metal was what I was saying it normally just goes into the back of the exhaust fans and that's what didn't we do but you get 12 screws altogether so 12 small ones and 12 big ones they've got four of each then you get like foaming pads with 3m adhesive on the back so you can definitely keep it stuck down free and a lot of company to be missed with if they can stick you to their walls if you if you really want to choose do that they got velcro anyway that's included as well if you don't want to stick it to case and it's not be a permanent solution you got this soft bit

here and in the heart of Elk Grove it here and it's pretty decent sprit strong cuz i sticked out of the way and then you've got these cables as well they include free cables so one is obviously for power which is a molex connector and then this obviously connects in to the Box this side get in there that goes in here and it just locks down and it's right close to the dip switch so at the moment in default mode one two three four is all set some default mode as one and then obviously you can change it to one to free to 4 to 5 and 5 to 1 and 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 all in 16

different combinations of the dip switch when you connect other controllers talking about other controllers we do have a connector here via USB and micro USB as well and it's a nice decent length cable so this will actually plug into this controller here via micro USB and the other one will connect to the other control lot exact controller like this so this is the actual Thermaltake trio control off so you need one of these and it's slightly different it's got dip in this in actual fun we'll take a black box the controller box this micro USB or mini USB goes into another controller box like this it needs a bit exactly the same and then you can connect this USB

straight into the motherboard so make sure you've got USB to output and then obviously the controller box will work as well for defense is to control the software and everything like that and give it the drivers to know what they're doing and obviously this is a power so it doesn't do anything else but just power the box and make sure everything's stable at the voltage that it's meant to be so this cable here is the bridge connector so it's got micro USB cable and it's a very small cable anyway it's about 10 centimetres long and if you want to connect more bridge boxes

like this or more controllers then you would need to use that cable as well to plug it in and then you won't need the USB because the USB is already connected via micro USB can dis controller box so that's how it all works and that just basically connects into the slide here and then you just get another box like this and then connect it up via micro USB so everything's micro USB or USB 2 and low legs it would be nice to see SATA connection as it's a thinner connection for power rather than having molex monix is just a mission it's just these pins there's four pins and

take ages to get in on there anyway you can stick your airfry em stickers to the back of the box which Rob see you've got a member which ones one two three and four and five but you'll obviously know that through the software but then it's a bit more wake if you've got it stuck there so it's best not to anyway you've got two other cables that come up at the top there so if you imagine that the cables are all situated like this inside your case so this is the side of your case and you've got cables coming down you're going love long cables to grope through natural channeling or grommet holes and stuff like then you've got to at the top there so some people

want to write it down and go with the 24 pin and hold it all together and sometimes it might be a little bit awkward but it depends on the case and manufacturer you're gonna be using these with anyway enough talking just remember you can't actually connect these two of our Thermaltake patroller boxes it has to be this controller box and that's it really so let's just plug it in and get the RGB is going on because I'm sure it's going to be a bit of a WOW factor what now as you can see this is RGB madness now the software does not work because I think this is too early but if you check out my other reviews on film we'll take with the RGB lights it does

actually work really well off the phone and it needed a bit of updating but it still worked really well but this one doesn't even come up in the app software so yeah normal tips gonna have to fix that anyway let's just get it going to show you the colors now so I'm not gonna say anything I'm just going to go through him there is loads right so this is cross thermal party gaming which means that when there's music going off for the game it will go off as well at the same time and same for movie as well fully lit so that's full brightness really lit wave what happened to my voice wave pulse link report Snyder's colors on Ripple RGB spectrum slow swell roundabout

step heartbeat Firefly twinkle Oh black car shooting star so now this is what you can do is well you can have any colors that you like and then spin it around so if I turn that fan around like so without my fingers so you can have any color you want on the front but then I'll look back you can have a different color and also you have a different color individually as well so if I go with just one at the moment if I turn off the others so I can change each color I want to as well as it assigns this one so and I was single yes you can just muck about and change the ones who you

want I think this is yeah all the background is like twinkle fly RGB spectrum I say it means you can mix them and then you can also change the other one as well which one's the middle one so this is the front ripple the post and then the middle one so the middle one is the third one pit which is northern like that so you can change the middle to whatever you want and just have these ones like on putting it like this so you can add these all fully lit front that are back and then you can just change whatever you want to do in the middle or you can have them completely off unless you've never connected to that move your gaming you can just have the

ones in the middle early on or vice-versa now I do very much like these RGB fans most of y'all that are best RGB fans that you could buy on any RGB fans that are going especially performance and the waiver stetic looks if you're into RGB then these bands are for you hundred percent if you're looking for the best then go here if you're looking for not arching piece you can still turn them off and still get great performance because it has got chakra toppers all tation pads on there and it's got good bearings and got good performance as well

before the filed for loan if I remember rightly so these are 12 volts and 5 volts rated so it works 5 volts or 12 volts so with the new motherboards and they're 5 volts and the old motherboards 12 volts but you can't plug them in and sink into MSI know you can't sync to MSI or gigabyte or anything like that they've gone around controller in there so sign up to you yes so airflow is 41 point 13 CFM and the noise decibels is twenty five point two decibels and the hydraulic bearings that are in there as well life expenses fear love expenses see is 40,000 latches modern

40,000 hours score be like it is just 40 hours so it's got decent stuff on there decent tech it looks really nice it's apart as I said before you can turn the raid 8 the fan around and then you have to back like that and then you can still see the colors of the rainbow if you choose to on the back doing whatever you want to do so as you can see it's pretty decent that you can do like anything you want on there I just think it's absolutely madness where they've got three different roads so you got the front road the back row in the middle road you can change all the different colors

you can turn off the front and let's have the color in the middle you can turn off the back and have the color in the middle it's it's up to you or you can have lights off the middle at the front or you can have them all on or you can have them all in different sequential ways that you want you can do different light colors everything you've got performance your silence and you've got the software that's really manageable and easy it's all about software not really impressed with the software that I couldn't get it to work but this is very brand-new and the software it's not

out it's not coming up on the phone but every other phone will take fan or RGB thing I've done it's always been there it's always worked but this is six days too early so when it's coming out six days time hopefully that software will be working but a software on the desktop works perfectly I'll talk about software and my phone you could download it and use it on the other thermal tape fans but just not with these ones and it's really annoying but maybe because it's got different box and it works differently but iPhone will take what I've an update and sort of

that out anyway they normally do but links in description down below where you can purchase these these are not cheap these you definite have to be rich to buy these if you've got if you go to buy six of these for free fans so that's pretty expensive elenova city control box so they're probably one of the most expensive but what the most Beth and if you want the best thing you have to pay the price.

The best Thermaltake Riing Trio 12 RGB 120mm review

the Thermaltake ring fans have been around for quite some time now offering great customization for colors within your system by an RGB lights around refunds that could be changed and sequenced by our controller for some fantastic effects however the new series of RGB ring funds have taken customization to the next level presenting proving plus fans we are GB plus funds with very similarly to the previous variants in the facet made to come in at 120 millimetres or 140 millimeters they have a traditional 120 by 120 525 dimension the same cushioned feet on the edges for mountain albeit slightly different shape offering the same anti

vibration mounting systems the similarities end there however as the new ring plus fans have done away with the previous seven pin design and now have nine blade designed to increase air flow and balance then we'll take have done away with a single Lance in Shubin opted for 12 individually addressable RGB LEDs all mounted within a slightly frosted plastic coating that distributes for light more efficiently these new LEDs mean that there are now a whole host of extra lighting options and customizations available as I will show you shortly in the video for

now let's look at the box itself and see what you get with your new ring plus fans the fans come in a triple pack with a small yet surprisingly weighty box the packaging is very similar to the previous ring fans with lots of colorful graphics and plenty of information open in the front allows a small preview window so to speak of the fans and the sample of a software and some of the lighting options to the left system compatibility and details can be found along the back and sides open in the box we have the free wing plus fans aesthetically they look very nice and very have a very well-built steady feel that fits in nicely with a premium nametag bakery the cables

are nice and long much longer than previous service meaning that fan placement and freedom is at a maximum an added bonus are that the cables are even braided so they really won't look out of place in your system you then have a newly designed PWM digital thumb hope controller this is the much cleaner simpler looking hope that will look nice and discreet in your build you also get a couple of sealed bags warehouse we assorted fan screws for mounting the funds either to a case or to a radiator a Velcro sticky pad that can be used for sticking the controller to the

case a PWM head a socket cable with dual micro USB connector leads for connecting the controller to the motherboard a molex power pin connector and last but not least a short daisy chain connector allows you to catch one controller to another to synchronize with setting up the phones is super easy - and can be done by even the most inexperienced of users you simply mount the fans in severe location within the case and feed the cables through the back of the motherboard or case you vent connects with fan headers into the controller as you see here the

event connects Vista sync cable into this slots and the PWM header cable onto the relevant pins on the motherboard last but not least to supply power to the units you connect for molex power connected service port and then connect your molex power to this mount the controller and install the thermal tech software which isn't included within the box but it's available on thermal tape main website it's important to download the ring plus RGB software and not the ring RGB softwares are correctly operate the funds and lights in to collect another controller by of a daisy chain technique it is very important that you use this smaller connector and connect

sit here and then use a micro USB to connect to an additional box to have more thumbs and controllers now let's move on to the part that you've been waiting for and that of course is for lice in modes as you can see the free funds are currently lit up with a solid color the software itself has had a bit of a facelift from the previous versions and there are much more options available the interface is nice and intuitive and shows free tiles on the front that represents each farm as you can see they go from one fruit to free and will control each fan individually at the

top left of a screen you will see multiple blocks with numbers and reason to keep a number of controllers connected to Burbank you have five profiles that can be preset to five different profiles for quick changes moving back to the tiles you have fan speed in the top left in this gray circle it shows the RPM of each fan in real time Andrey's can be adapted to become slower for quieter operation or faster for more performance you can click on a performance bubble to set it as it is or alternatively silent which will then stop a fan spinning at a certain speed to keep the sound down finally clicking pwm will then allow the fans to spin at a higher speed these fans

have a top speed of around 1500 rpm now that you have this sorted you can start to work on the colors and patterns of a light as you can see there are three full color spectrum disks on each tile this represents four possible combinations that can be selected and you'll certainly be spoilt for choice with up to 16 point 8 million colors available the first light mode you see here is called thermal thermal will set the fans to glow relevant to the system temperature for the purpose of this video I'm going to turn fund 1 & 2 off so that you can see we effects a little bit better you contain the lighting off the fans by clicking the light bulb here now that we've

covered the basics of a software let's get on to the light modes themselves you can toggle through the different modes by abyss button right here you can then change the lighting from single mode to RGB mode by abyss here and the speed of said mode by abyss button here , a little note for those that have dual color builds or builds with more than one color in general is that you can on some of the mouths selects individual LEDs to reflects individual colors as you can see here for the added bit of personalization during the time of recording this review Thermaltake released a new software on firmware version this version is one point one point

four and will be available on a thermal tech drivers page which i will link below so that if you already own roof and you can download it from there new a stock of a thumbs will come with this preloaded the new firmware and software delivers a few little changes to buy not only fixing a few books but also by adding some extra lighting modes you can access fees by Avenue s menu button at the top right as you see here clicking this opens a separate window with another RGB spectrum wheel on it and free list titles to the left straightaway it is set to no light mode which tends a lots of a fans off completely click the light mode to the right and you have a

mode called shooting star which has four name suggests displays are lights effects that resembles a shooting star going across the sky as before you can change four different speeds currently it's set to RGB but you can change it to single lighting mode and true to form you can change the color of said single LED on the wheel move runs again and you can get black hole this is almost a polar opposite of a shooting star effect by being completely lit up but a single LED shoot and through them all yet again the speed and color modes can be changed moving next to perhaps the most enticing new light show and that is V Aurora which as you can see

creates a stunning light show of the funds with the usual speed controllers however you can change to single mode but it doesn't really do anything to change for your pets on the phones to go back you simply click the X on the top right and that pretty much wraps up my in-depth and detailed unboxing and review of thermal takes fantastic ring plus RGB fans and they certainly do deliver on all aspects they are solid steady and well with a very premium look and feel they are heavy too so they feel like they could withstand a knock or two although we certainly don't recommend throw-in your fans around the software is much cleaner and certainly easier to use

the color patterns and combination are endless and look fantastic and will really complement your build especially those with tempered glass cases and will certainly give your build about wow factor the individually addressable LEDs make it super easy to personalize under support for daisy chaining controllers to allow even more funds meaning that even the biggest bills can be catered for that's why I'm pleased to give the linkless RGB premium funds by thermal tape

our very first gadget joke gold rating with four stars I will leave a link in the description to where you can order your own sets of funds .
