and today it appears that calling us that have fixed the H 500 P again what's this stripped back more affordable a high airflow case really like let's dive in and take a look this case builds on two cooler masters H series line up with the signature to two hundred millimeter fans pop front please help to put a shed load of air through your system to give you some really nice air and water cooling performance now to address the airflow issues that people had about the not so

high airflow high airflow oriented 8500 P this by default comes to the mesh panel at the front for ready minimal air resistance though quartermaster do include a flat acrylic version if that's more your style if you're not bothered about aesthetics as opposed to how and actually call your system can be now as to be expected the two fans included are only the standard analog RGB derivatives not the addressable versions seen on their new 8 500 and and an RGB controller is

included it's definitely basic but does the job nicely and also allows you to wire up to the reset switch to repurpose the reset switch on the front panel as an additional RGB control button personally I think this is a weird and Daffy decision a dedicated RGB control on the front would have been a much better solution Coolermaster also include a 3-way RGB splitter which allows you to use the singular controller with one port left over the use of a standard four

Panaji be head out is appreciated and means you can plug up to compatible asus or a sink or msi mystic like motherboards for example vio on this case continues its really nice industrial design aesthetic with two USB 2 port two USB 3 ports HD audio 2 headphone and microphone jacks as well as a reset and pal button in cooler masters new signature style it has everything i think you could possibly need a new SBC is of course reserved for cooler masters higher-end more expensive it's a C's on the radiator and fan Fran it's pretty impressive as you would come

to expect with room for two 200 millimeter fans of and those units of course included and a 360 millimeter radiator here two at the top you get support for up to a 240 ml radiator with room for 120 140 or a 280 millimeter fan at the rear you also get support for a 120 ml radiator and 820 melt non RGB fan comes nicely included so really quite nice all around the top also features a magnetic disc filter which is my personal favorite style that peels off easily for efficient and

effective cleaning nice job on this one cooler master whilst this case definitely wouldn't be my first choice for a custom water cooling it rig there's definitely ample room in here to do so and all in one unit should not be shied away from a 360 mil in the front and a 240 on top v CPU and GPU will work absolutely no problem which is great to see the final feature of notability on the outside of this case is the tempered glass side panel and it does two things really really well first

and foremost the tin isn't too strong as you can see here you can see into the system with fairly limited RGB illumination no problem the second good thing it does is actually a black frame around the edge walks this is actually still the glass it allows you to easily carry and maneuver this without getting too many fingerprints all over it and helping you to keep it nice and clean call the master also include a cleaning cloth in the box which is a really nice touch the glass side

panel also features captive screws at the top and whilst these sadly aren't thumb screws they're not nice and you aren't going to lose them which is a really really welcome addition in my opinion moving to the inside of the case it's a really impressive affair with support for ATX em ATX and full-size ATX motherboards it's got all the three main bases covered alongside support for two three and a half inch drives and up to four two and a half inch SSDs depending on the number of hard drives you install you also get a power supply shield which walks isn't

the most premium thing I've ever seen that does its job and does it really well you also get support for up to graphics card to 410 millimeters in length I've got a ZOTAC 10:8 ET i am extreme in here with loads of room left despair as well as cooler masters signature cable cover that we've been seeing on their higher-end Sassy's finally on the cable management front it's really really pleasing to see plenty of cable tie loops as well as 30 millimetres of clearance

behind that rear panel feeds of stuff your cables away and forget they existed unfortunately the rear side panel doesn't feature captive thumb screws then this isn't too much of a complaint for me on a case at this price point if I had to learn about one thing on the interior of this case it would be the t's of a vertical GPU man we're just one vertical PCIe mount I'm not really sure what this is for as to would be needed to standard graphics card installations whilst it isn't

going to be the best option in terms of airflow to have a vertical GPU mount and this case is for the more budget oriented consumer it would have been a killer feature to have on this chassis and women really have made the chassis any bigger either at least if you give people the option of a horizontal or vertical mounting system people can't complain and it would have just taught this case off really quite nicely in summary though I really do like this case I like the magnetic

dust filter up top I like the easy durable carrying handle - I like the high airflow I like the design I also like the fact you get such a conclusive feature set on the price tag but I'll put links for up-to-date pricing the different regions and retailers for this chassis in the description below I also like quartermasters resilience in terms of carrying on with this case lineup and improving it responding to demands and the feedback that customers

have put forward I've been really impressed by this chassis and it seems cool a master's perseverance has paid off there's definitely a few little quirks such as the tease of a vertical GPU mount and the supposedly reset button repurposing for that RGB controller we talked about earlier but all in all calling master seemed to have done it again they've made a really
solid case at a fantastic price point like seriously for the price this thing is just pretty incredible.
reviews guides mods and more so if you're into that sort of thing consider checking out the rest of challenge subscribing all right so let's dive right into this this case is offering a lot of value straight out of the box the H 500 looks similar to a lot of the other master case enclosures from cooler master but much more dynamic in my opinion let's start with that gorgeous mesh front panel air flow is not a problem with this case and in case you're more into the appeal over

function this case comes with an optional acrylic front panel with air flow coming in from the sides and the bottom also part of the front panel is the handle up on top which makes transportation much easier without getting a ton of fingerprints on the case the Aged 500 is a mid tower with support of mini ITX - ATX form factor motherboards the case stands at 525 millimeters long - 28 millimeters wide and 502 millimeters tall with a CPU cooler clearance up

to 167 millimeters which it has even the largest of CPU coolers fan support is great as well with options for 3 120 to 140 or to 200 millimeter fans up in the front - 120 millimeter - 140 millimeter or 1 200 millimeter fan up on top and one 120 millimeter fan in the rear of course this all comes with great radiator support as well once we start breaking down in this case it becomes even more dynamic let's start with that tempered glass side panel it uses a two screw

design but instead they are flat and use a flat head drive in order to remove though you can get away with using your thumbs just fine I rather see a push and pull pin instead or a latching mechanism as I think the screw design is becoming outdated quickly the screws are capped off at the end and don't come out of the glass which is amazing and keeps you from losing them later on and I lose them all the time the glass panel then hinges on the bottom and can support its own weight without falling over this is great in case the side panel just slips through your

hands and decides to support its own weight rather than falling over and shattering so that's pretty nice for the rear panel it's pretty standard with a two thumb screw design and they aren't capped unfortunately the side panel screws are then these should be as well to keep me and others from losing them because I lose those thumb screws all the time or I just have to go around looking for them I also wish to rear panel use a hinge design for ease of use rather than the traditional slotted method from panel removal the standard as well just pull it off and there

are no connected wires from the front io which is always a blessing if you want to install that acrylic front panel it can be a bit of a process with removing eight screws in total but it is secured in the place nicely once installed it's not that hard it just takes a little time the front IO comes with two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports power and reset button and audio jacks but I would really appreciate a type C port I do file transfers all the time and a type C port is almost necessary at this point the front i/o is also removable by removing these two screws which

makes for a very easy removal and installation the H 500 packs quite a bit of value to be honest it includes two 200 millimeter MF RGB fans in the front and one 120 millimeter black fan in the rear honestly this is a full fan setup straight out of the box there is a dust filter on top which is magnetic and other than the front panel even on the sides and bottom and another dust filter underneath the PSU with a slide-out filter rather than a cheap one held in with four metal tabs

thankfully I will always appreciate that attention to detail moving to the interior of the case we have an open layout which is nothing new but we have a cable shield up in the front for front IO cables or anything else that needs to be routed through it's also removable in case you don't want to see it there we also have rubber grommets which is fantastic to see and to have and also necessary at this price point is a hard drive cage at the bottom that slot in and out very easily

for the hard drive trays and it's also removable with only one thumb screw if you slide out the bottom tray and undo the thumb screw on the bottom and pull out I love this easy tool is designed and stands out to me moving over to the power supply shroud it's complete with one thumb screw and slots out very easily I absolutely love this design and again stands out as unique to me anytime there is a removable or modular PSU shroud it can make life much easier with plugging in and out of cables for your PSU moving over to the back there's two SSD

mounts which is another tooless design feature for those SSDs as is the installation is used by screwing in these four posts into the drive and sticking the drive into the rubber mounts and it's actually secure this adds to the tools design and adds more points in my book and the rear of the case there's plenty of space for cable management with a full inch of space or close to it

from the inner case wall there's cable cutouts and all the appropriate places and there's a good amount of cable tie-down points for easy cable routing I mean look at this cable management I have here I didn't spend over 30 minutes on cable management and it came out this clean cable management is made easy with cable tie down points cable routing holes and a removable power supply shroud major points right there for making this process so much easier the

accessories include an RGB controller for the two front RGB fans and in front of the case in case you don't want to use your motherboard RGB header or don't have one molex powered fan header zip ties screws and cleaning cloths for the tempered glass panel I love that tiny attention to detail rather than having to use my shirt or having to use a microfiber towel for the same use build experience was overall very smooth the only discrepancy I have is that only a

couple of the motherboard standoffs were installed other than that everything else was great I got to utilize the cable bar rubber grommets cable holes and tie-down points to use this case to its full potential I highly recommend this for a beginner as the install process and cable management is an absolute breeze the only thing that I don't like is a gap in the wall between the cable shield and the front panel I'm sure there's a reason for this that I haven't looked into

yet but I prefer to have a full wall without having cables scaling across the gap it's no surprise that the temps are the same with the panels on and off the case or at least close to the same as there is a substantial amount of airflow coming in from the front and the top and bottom for the PSU I mean there's only a rise in 14100 in this build but it's overclocked to 4 gigahertz and you would notice the difference results if it was being choked now with the acrylic front panel

the temps can differ a bit with thirty six point six degrees Celsius over ambient but either way this case isn't struggling with airflow and I absolutely cherish it in terms of sound production it's actually pretty decent 41.9 decibels at idle and forty four point four decibels at load which is pretty good for an entirely mesh panel exterior build quality overall is very good the front panel is plastic yes but made well for sturdiness it's not just a cheap plastic that's gonna fall off or

break the entire enclosure is relatively light the frame of the case is steel with a plastic front panel and plastic yes--you shroud and drive cage there's difference in cheap brittle plastic and durable thick plastic overall it's a well-made case and the quality is appropriate at the price tear I really like this case all around it looks clean has a focus on airflow provides three fans out of the gate has a top mounted handle for transportation great cable management

options and fantastic use of a toolless dynamic design quality of the case Peaks that of a case to me the tools design speaks on innovation the inclusion of three fans two of which are 200 millimeters speaks of value and the case itself is very well rounded for the money the only negatives I have to say about this case is the exclusion of a USB type-c port on the front i/o Flathead Drive screws on the front panel non cap thumb screws for the rear panel and the gap

in the case wall between the front panel and the cable shield honestly these are minor issues in the entirety of the case and what it offers for I would definitely buy it and offers a competitive option in this price tear this case is definitely worthy of the value cog by providing one of the best options for its price if you want to check out this case a link will be in the description below.

lights and colors I decided wow this is the best system ever and I'm completely happy with my purchase so today's review is just about how once you build a computer like this you're happy with it forever and even though yeah there may be a few things like having digitally addressable front 200 millimeter fans or maybe like the option for a front tempered glass piece might be nice but I'm pretty much satisfied with what I take it all back there is now an H 500 M from

cooler masters so the system that we built in the H 500 P sucks and this is much better so let's be honest if you watch show coverage such as the CES 2018 show coverage you may have already known that the H 500 M was on the way because Coolermaster showed off an early version of it there speaking of show coverage I'm gonna be a Computex next week in Taipei Taiwan so don't forget to subscribe because I have lots of videos coming out with coverage of

that events for today though I have a limited amount of time so what I'm gonna do is take this RGB overkill build that I did earlier this week it's got a team t4c delta r gb SSD in there as well some team memory I'm gonna transplant it into this system and then they'll talk about the differences between H 500 P and H 500 M I have unboxed H 500m I managed to get all of the plastic off of the tempered glass and plastic pieces although it was kind of sticky didn't want to

come off all the way but let's talk first off about differences between the h 500 B and H 500 n first thing you might notice is that there is mesh on the front right now but this is actually a swappable panel and it comes with a tempered glass piece in the box as well so once you remove that front panel and slop this one in looks like it's gonna screw into place I have not some kind of percent determined how to remove this front panel yet so I'll get to that when the time comes

up here on the top i/o you'll see Coolermaster continuing their attempts to make people forget their names so this this is their logo which is kind of their hex thing and they're not putting the Coolermaster logo on anymore it's a branding thing let me know if you like it or not let Coolermaster know if you like it or not I'm ok with it I think it's alright this will light up with RGB when the system's actually turned on we have 4 USB 3.0 ports up here and a USB 3.1 type

C port which I am probably most excited about also worth pointing out that these two fronts 200 millimeter RGB fans are addressable RGB rather than the 4 pin 12 volt they're the 3 pin 5 volt that means you can get multiple colors in them versus the H 500 P where the two fans are gonna be just a single color although it can of course cycle between different colors but it has come only be one color at a time if you were to use that front tempered glass piece then you would have tempered glass on four sides the front the side panel here which I've already

removed and it's pretty much the same side panel as H 500 P tempered glass across the top now so that is an upgrade replacing it from the plastic top of the H 500 P and tempered-glass on the opposite side here as well internally we have some nice upgrades they have reconfigured this bottom chamber for the power supply the shroud here has a knockout here towards the front so that will allow it to accommodate larger and thicker radiator configurations if you're going to

swap that out and there's mounts up here not just for the Toyota millimeter fans but also 420 140 millimeter fan variants so lots of different options up there also they've included this Universal pump bracket here so if you're gonna water cool this system this is better suited for that than H 500 P pump bracket there and then also this vertical rail system so you can mount reservoirs they've also included this little bracket and this is actually a GPU support bracket so

that should help I believe you flip it around and then wear your graphics card might be over here you can slide that up or down and just keep your GPU from sagging here's another hex logo without the cooler master words on it and then I initially thought that they had regressed in their mounting for SSDs they got a couple mounts here and a couple mounts on the back and the motherboard tray however these actually mount by mounting four plugs to the bottom of

the SSD and then it just sits right there and it's sort of held in place by these little rubber grommets and that's pretty much it for the initial once-over of the feature differences between the H 500 mm and H 500 P of course all the other features of the H 500 P that you maybe have come to know and love still exist here including the panels for covering your cable management in the back and just the nice clean look overall it does have a bit of an updated look on the front

I guess aesthetically as well but it does look like they've put tons of extra ventilation here on the side so if you do go with tempered glass in the front you will get still hopefully a decent amount of airflow I'm not doing scientific tests of airflow today though I'm just going to get this system swapped into this system oh wow Thank You cat I did that I'm told me that why I think cuz it's funny she doesn't why I'm here point out my failures yeah this is why I'm here guys cuz follow

why you'll eat fish what did you do pause never I wouldn't show this but just forcing me big time fail haven't done this in a really long time fortunately we didn't do much stress testing with this cooler but I left the plastic on yeah more plastic to you for your kids well that's kind of good I didn't melt right oh it wouldn't do anything unless I like actually you have to you have to warm the system person I was already sweaty before that happened , so as I am swapping out the liquid cooling solution I am realizing well at first I thought that that cooler

master had had regrets to get but they did not so this is the top bracket for the H 500 P and it has a bit of height to it so you can put fans mount it up in there whatever it is convenient to mount a radiator and fans to that so that you can then mount that to the case mats with four screws there's a similar tray to that here on H 500 M this tray though is flat versus the sort of raised tray they have there and I actually think there is a little bit more vertical clearance with

the H 500 m then the H 500 P goes up a little bit taller not too much I'm but you could still mount fans on top of this which we're gonna need to do so you still get basically the same configuration when it comes to where you have to install up here I just noticed that I wasn't able to do what I originally planned which is to take the whole assembly off of this and swap it over to this one in case you're wondering if they fits probably not it does set right there but

there's six screws to mount this one in forward about this one so the screw holes don't line up I found another update for the H 500 M since this opposite side panel also has tempered glass with the M versus the solid side panel to age 500 P they've added one more a little protective piece down here and this is just a cover up where your cables are coming out of your power supply and that tray down there so I'm not sure if I'm gonna get everything wired up

underneath these things but just like this panel on the left side there's just a couple screws that hold it in and another discovery mounted to the back of this is a little intelligent control panel so you can connect up your LEDs , huh I don't know if this in that it's a feeler that fan do you think no thinking spins all right did you like put that did you did you mount the bracket so where it's holding up the graphics card yeah you have to like slide it up yeah the fan

bumps it hmm all right guys this build got a rush towards the end mainly because I am leaving in like 18 hours to fly to Japan so here it is in all of its glory I will say looking at the addressable digital LEDs on the front fans their matches much more appropriately with the rest of the addressable digital RGB LED stuff that's in the case so I think that's definitely a big thumbs up and heck even if you got an H 500 P you could probably swap out for those upgraded a RGB fans that's what they're calling them addressable RGB and get yourself this entire

configuration now the cable management on the other side is not done at all I did not put any of those cover panels on that so sorry I'm not going to show you guys the pretty look at that I really just had to get everything in here and up and running and overall I think coolermaster has done a great job sort of refining this case over the past year or so since they first started showing it off I think it looks really nice with all the LEDs and with the black I feel like since I

got a lot of black components in there it's it's got a nice balance going on it's not quite as over-the-top I think as the white finish now if I have developed a pet peeve with this case it is absolutely going to be the installation or mounting of the side panel here I just feel like something that doesn't require a tool because you really need a flathead or something to twist that and put it in place it's really the only thing standing out to me right now of course this has

really just been my first impressions of the H 500 M but I'm liking what I see so far and I think anyone who gets this case will be happy with it I do want to point out the cost MSRP so it's more than the HT 500 P for some additional tempered glass as well as some more usability especially if you're considering liquid cooling in the future .
